This refrigerator repair company clearly does not value your time--or your business. They showed up late to the appointment with no call or notification, which was already frustrating. Once the technician finally arrived, things only got worse. He actually asked to borrow a tool from me, spent a lot of time on his phone trying to figure things out, and even had to call another tech for help. After all that, he gave me a guess about why my freezer wasn't working, while also trying to redirect me by saying my refrigerator might still be under warranty and that I should contact them instead. That's something that should have been clarified before the appointment, not after wasting my time. Now, four days later, my freezer is still not working. The part hasn't even been ordered, and I've been told yet another technician needs to come out. To make matters worse, they've given me another vague 4-5 hour window to wait around for them. Overall, this has been an incredibly frustrating and time-wasting experience. Poor communication, lack of preparation, and zero sense of urgency. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Warning, they will waste your time and money. I had them repair a valve in my ice maker a year ago and a couple months ago and it went out again. I called Aurora again about the issue and they came out said I need another valve. Charged me a service call to diagnose the problem and they didn't have the part that was under warranty. They said the part would be in a few days. I called a week later and they never ordered the part. Very frustrating and terrible communication though out. After 2 weeks finally got the part. Set up another appointment to get it installed. They came and fixed it for now. Aurora charged me again to install the part that was under warranty. Aurora is not respectful of your time or money. I am very upset that i was charged $129 for a 10 minute service charge to replace a screw. When i called i told them that my oven light was out and my oven door was coming apart. tThe screw was replace and the door is fine. I realized that the light bulb in the oven was not replaced. when I called to make them aware of the situation . I was first told that they would order the bulb and the wanted to charge me $62.50 when they charged me$129 fscrew in a screw. They also charged me $80 to tell me my microwave was not fixable. I spent a total of $210 totatal for a screw and nothing else. THey are scam ing me and want another $633 to change a lightbulb . This is usurise Beware of these people!!!!!!! I have a couple rental units in Hilton Head. I live in Charlotte. So, it's important to me to have vendors that I can trust to keep my units operating. I was having an issue with the freezer in one of my units. The freezer was having a lot of condensation on the outside of the door that was leaving a puddle in front of the fridge. The ice stopped coming out of the shute a week later so I gave these guys a call. They made it out with in a week or so and diagnosed the issue as a faulty ice shute door. The repair was approved and they returned a week or so later to make the repair. The problem is that the repair didn't fix both problems. I now had ice, but still had condensation. I didn't realize this immediately because as I said, I live 4.5 hours away. So, when I visited the unit 6 months later and noticed the condensation I gave Aurora a call. They came back out and diagnosed that the entire freezer door needed to be replaced, but that it is no longer made. So, I'll need a new refrigerator after spending $450 to repair this one. That sucks, but I understand that appliances are complex. The ice shute door could have been causing the condensation and the no ice issue so that needs to be fixed first. My issue is with being charged another diagnostic charge to diagnose the same initial symptom. Once the first repair was made, the tech should have confirmed that both symptoms were fixed. That didn't happen. I called and explained the situation. I was told that they only warranty their diagnostic for 30 days so I am S.O.L. Pretty disappointed that they didn't verify their repair and I left paying the cost. Now I'm out $586 and have the same issue. Will be looking for a different vendor to service my rental units in the future. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company and the service. Scheduling an appointment was easy, and I got informed 30 min before the technician arrived and he was amazing. Very friendly, explained what the problem was, and fixed it. I have a Unique refrigerator and had my doubts if anybody could fix it, and he could. In addition to the repair, he offered to research a special piece that was missing. I highly recommend reaching out to this company with any brand and problem. read more

Horrible communication and an unpleasant, unhelpful repairman. They falsified a report to my warranty company stating they had installed a part they had not installed and was not even reflected on the Work Order/Invoice. When part of the work was not covered under warranty I asked them for an estimate to do the work outside of the warranty and I would pay out of pocket. They refused to do any work not covered by warranty even if I paid for it ! read more

Carter was better than timely and efficient. Service was all I hoped for, better than expected and the refrigerator is repaired !! Purchased in 2018 and had service for it 7 times. First at 6-month interval and eventually on a monthly basis from contractors who were "authorized " to repair my appliance. Aurora / Carter are the best !
