I only give 5 stars based on Albert the technician that came to my house to service my AC. Sears as a whole is awful. no customer service. could not get through to a live person. I live in Florida and it was 87 degrees in my house. I have COPD and I had to wait 9 days for a person to come out! unacceptable! Albert was amazing though!!! read more

Richard was Great he explained/Showed me the leak and the A/C repair that needed to be completed. Unfortunately due to Sears Appliance Rules they can not repair and A/C that is hard to get to which even includes an attic that does NOT have ply wood down on the attic flooring. In my case the air handler is in a closet upstairs and Richard/Manager thought the stairs were too narrow to safely bring up the new airhandler. I recommended a lift because there is access up the open side of the upstairs but Richard said they dont rent lifts to install. So they are re assigning to a company that is willing to work to get the airhandler up safely. Kinda disappointing BUT definitely the world we live in today. read more

The technician Al was great 5 out of 5. However their customer representative and scheduling was a nightmare. I spent 76 minutes on the phone and waiting to discuss my 2 appointments because there was only 1 per their system. On 7/3/24 they did an inspection and motor was defective. My Choice Home Warranty authorized repair. They were supposed to the replacement on 7/9 8-12pm but they didn't as technician didn't have motor. On 7/4/24 I put another claim with Choice and Sears Home Service was suppose to do an inspection 7/9 1-5pm. That didn't happen too. Sears order #4928 was incorrectly linked to 1st claim, the motor. So 7/9 Scheduled but missed event was for AC inspection but linked incorrectly to 1st claim. Now I have been with AC for my bedrooms since June 26th. Sears' period is 3rd to 9th. The future July 10Th appointment is supposed to fix both claims. This has been a nightmare of bad customer service and bad technology for a simple motor replacement and simple inspection. There is no callback feature on their customer service number. One of their number automatically drops you. My first call to their 215-371-2401 dropped me and I had to call back and wait another 38 minutes on top of the 25 minutes for first. Also after Technican missed 7/9 due to having no motor, their scheduler want to reschedule to 7/15!? another freaking 6 days of no AC in my bedroom. I had the misfortune of purchasing my Samsung washing machine and dryer through AJ Madison. This was back in July 2024. It is now Feb 20th 2025. Yesterday morning I started my washing machine cycle about 2 mins in i was about to add another item to the load I noticed tons an extreme amount of water pouring from beneath the machine. It was a problem with the install from July. The tubing connected to the drain outlet was incorrectly placed and had come loose. You would think quick fix, no problem, however this was not the case. After several phone calls to AJ Madison, they decided to let me know that I had only a 30 day window to submit an install complaint. So I was supposed to look several months into the future and foresee this situation. Fortunately I was able to contact Eric through SEARS. By the way Eric was the 2nd person I had to have come out to fix the issue. It was a fix that needed critical and innovative thinking. Eric was very professional. Patiently listened to my issue without interupting. Then moved on to the job. He was quiet, quick and efficient. When he was done he ran the machine just to make sure his work was done correctly and he was satisfied. Eric then gave me a synopsis and was on his way. Professional, quick and effective! Twice came out and didnt do anything because label with model number is torn. They knew this the first time but yet they didnt take microwave off the wall to see tag in back. Then again they send tech, already knowing model tag issue, and yet dont do anything again???? Now wasted two days from work becuase they only tell you between 8-5 and now another company has to come and figure this out. Really? Now going on almost 2 weeks without microwave and 3 missed work days. AHS and Sears need to do better:( read more

The AC technician / Richard arrived at my house and his customer service skills were horrible . We had heated arguments. I've live in the house 3yrs and every summer I've have AC issues. 2 times were for a capacitor and my question was could there be something that would blow the capacitor and he replied the one that was last installed was the wrong one. His complaint with me was I was second guessing his work. But every time I spoke he would speak over me disrespectfully. He also told me he doesn't like to talk while he's working and I get that but the tone and disrespect . AT MY AGE WILL NOT TOLERATE. I only rated a 1 star bcuz I had to. I'm awaiting another Technican and will update more later. read more

I would post zero but it's not available, my dryer needed a belt 349.00 is a lot but when the tech came he said he needed 50.00 more to vacuum the inside out. Never use this service again. We did not pay the 50 so he cleaned it out by hand. Way too expensive for a simple repair. He would not let us vacuum because it's a liability. No never use Sears you cannot call all is on computer when you call it's AI and cannot get a real person. read more

Richard showed up after repeatedly delaying and as I was "the last appt" used every thing he could to not show up. Then upon arriving was rude and asked no questions other than said is it currently working. The adult at the time tried to explain what transpired after being cancelled days before due to hurricane. Richard was not interested and quickly left rudely. Extremely disappointed in him. I have been a loyal customer of Sears for over 15 years and have never been treated so poorly.
