Way over priced and horrible customer service. Takes forever to get an appointment and sears isn't even running this service. Cinch is and you basically get a service appointment by someone in any company they pick who is in your area. Plus you pay $100 deductible for appointment. You might as well hire someone you know is good that is local then pay them a monthly arrive charge then $100 when you need service. Not worth it and I had them for ten years on three homes and have seen there service go down hill over the years. Save yourself the trouble and pick another company which is what I'm doing. They use to be good/ok and no are HORRIBLE. Also there customer service rep are from the Philippines and you can hardly understand their English let alone get one on the phone to speak with. 20-40 min hold times are very common and unexceptional when running a service company. It has been seven days since the Sears AC repair people have come and I have not been contacted emailed or text pertaining to what they will be doing. Is presently 88° upstairs and very humid, we live in Florida, and now I have to worry about mold and humidity damage because of their because of their incompetence and slowness and communicating and updating me, and what will be done to correct the situation. I am thinking of contacting my attorneys if I don't have an answer within 48 hours. This is an unlivable experience, especially when our bedrooms are upstairs. read more

Then, from the first phone call Dwight, the Sears technician thet arranged could not have been more accomoadating and helpfull. As this was an emergency repair, I did not have time to clear the reapair visit with my condo office to assure all the insurance requirements were in place. Technician called on his way over and said they didn't want to work on my refrigerator - this is after they accepted my appointment and booked it FIVE DAYS IN ADVANCE. It is a Whirlpool Refrigerator that is 10 years old but cost about $2000 at the time. He then said he'd come over and take a look at what is wrong but he's going to charge me $99 to tell me that he's not going to work on it. To be fair, I guess he told me. Then he walked in the garage and took a look at the fridge, spent 2 minutes with it (didn't even pull it out of the wall or unplug it!!!!) and then said "yeah we can't do anything about this - no charge". I was delighted that despite the house call and spending 2 minutes looking at the fridge they weren't going to charge. Then, 5 minutes later while I was in the bathroom the tech BANGS ON THE FRONT DOOR and is shouting to me that I owe him $99. He continues banging until I answered. I opened the door completely flummoxed why someone would behave so erratically. He accused me of trying not to pay by not answering the door. I was absolutely disgusted. So I took his picture. That's when he raised his voice at me in a threatening way. I told him I wanted to know the part number, he wouldn't tell me. I told him that I wanted his name, he wouldn't give it to me. I will NEVER EVER EVER use A&E Sears again for ANYTHING. I called another local company who came out SAME DAY and repaired the main board on my $2000 fridge for $300. A&E are crooks, they're unprofessional, their techs don't want to do any real work, and they're rude as all get-out. If zero stars was possible then I would give zero. They arrived 4 hours after telling me they would be there. Once they arrive he refused to repair the unit as the cheap paper sticker they use for serial and model numbers was damaged, even though the info is on file from previous repairs. Other companies use higher quality stickers that hold their information better. When I called to complain I was on hold 30+ minutes until the calls dropped 2x and a third time the woman hung up after telling me she could not help me as she could only sell and renew policies, but did not offer me any information on who to call. Home Depot is the better option they replace units promptly and their extended warranty is far cheaper. read more

They were on time and communicated well via email and text message a narrower time of arrival same day (within an 1 1/2 instead of 4 hours). Price for evaluation is fair Dryer=$79 (plus tax) and if I had made an appointment for the range $89 (plus tax). They ignored the fact I wanted the range looked at at the same time as the dryer. Told me I had to make another-separate appointment. (This guy only did washers and dryers.) I got the definite feeling that they really didn't want to fix the dryer and didn't want to do any work at all. Just recommend replacing it and throw a coupon at me to buy another at Sears. The web site stated the average repair was between $85 and $175 for dryers. Parts are more than that .. each! and labor (the low low discounted rate is $128 per hour. Est for half the job was over $437. I paid my $79 evaluation fee and ended it. I won't call them again as it was not in anyway a customer orientated experience. It was sales and a tech wanting to collect his fee/cut from Sears and move along. Felt like I was dealing with Comcast. LOL read more

My Samsung dryer stopped heating on 2/8/21 So I called Sears warranty since my dryer is still covered. They setup an appointment and sent out a third party named Empire repair. Great people On time courteous. The heating element was bad So he ordered one and replaced it the same day. Wow talk about service. Unfortunately the dryer Still wouldn't heat passed 80 degrees. Very long story short Empire has been out 3 times And changed multiple parts and the fryer still won't heat passed 80. So Sears booked me for an Appointment on 3/10/21 I called and advised them that won't work my wife and I are front line workers (ER and ICU nurses) with 2 small children And we need our clothes cleaned daily. They don't want to help resolve the issue in a timely fashion. They even cancelled a follow up appointment that we had scheduled for 2/25/21 without consulting Me. I called and they said they want a Sears tech For a second opinion. That's fine but why would you make me wait 15 more days. Send someone Sooner we have been through enough. Repair performed timely for a one year-old Whirlpool stacked washer/dryer no parts were required to be replaced as this was an electronic programming issue. The technician spent no more than 45 minutes in entirety at my home but the item was fixed within 15 minutes. I was charged a sum of $226.03 for this service which I thought was highly exorbitant for the service rendered. Secondly I was not provided a receipt and upon asking for it via call to Sears I was ignored and my call subsequently disconnected. Needless to say this is highly unprofessional and unwarranted for a company which I felt has a long history of professionalism, fair pricing and quality service to its customers. I scheduled a repair for my LG washer and dryer easily enough. The technician arrived and said the board on my dryer was blown and had to be replaced for $600 and that he tightened valves to stop leaking on my washer. I was charged a service fee for each machine. I decided to buy a new dryer from another store who had one in inventory, however my washer continued to leak water. I again called Sears and explained the situation and they told me they would again charge me for a service call even the leaks were not fixed from the first service call. He explained what he was doing to the refrigerator to fix the problem and did some preventative maintenance to ensure the fridge was in top operating condition. It has been operating at peak performance for 5 days. We have a Sears Maintenance Agreement for the Dishwasher purchased at Sears. Gasket that surrounds the dishwasher to create a seal came loose.Sears refused to replace the gasket. Also refused to refund the Money paid for the agreement. So it seems like a waste of money and Sears is not standing behind the Maintenance Agreement. read more
