The Master Protection Agreement FAILED THE CUSTOMER. The tech, Daniel Jones who performed the inspection on 10-9-24 informed the warranty department, that the rust on the plate and the panels were rusted that goes under the burners of the gas boiler. Therefore, leaving the burners on the bottom of the floor of the GAS BOILER unprotected. This was also informed by the tech, by the name of Sam who inspected the gas boiler for the Winter Maintenance check on 10-6- 2023 also, We, the home owners pay the price of the warranty and have paid it for many years every year. You don't care at all about the danger this could cause for the home owners, and it is quite clear you don't even care about that. Clearly this tells the customer , that again, that you don't care. If it were you and your family I can bet that you would have the problem in your home solved immediately. We keep a Master Protection on the gas boiler every year, and we pay the high price every year for it. So, why is it that when we have a Winter Maintenance check each year, and there is a major problem. that nothing is ever done to correct the problem and you don't care about the safety of the customer's who are senior citizens. All that was done by the tech for 2023 when he came to inspect the gas boiler,who came back to our home with a thin sheet of metal, and made a make shift plate to go under the burners. So, your rating from me is 0. You have the nerve to ask for a rating, when you know that the problem has not been resolved. AND THAT YOU FAILED THE CUSTOMER. I have always used Sears Home Services. The quality and performance of repair technicians are outstanding. I called for repair on my Kenmore dishwasher and spoke to a representative who attempted to have me check out and perform simple tasks to get the device repaired myself. However, his suggestions failed and he inquired about what I thought was the problem. I told him the water pump, soap dispenser, and tray wheels were broken. He sent a repairman to my home. He also mailed a water pump, not a wheel replacement, and a soap dispenser. The first technician replaced the water pump and because the other pumps were not shipped as requested he reordered the tray wheels and soap dispenser. A few weeks later the tray wheels were shipped and Ken installed the part but he had to reorder the soap dispenser because it was not shipped. After the dispenser arrived, I contacted Sears to install the part. The technician came early and installed the part. He was accommodating and resolved all of my concerns. I wish Sears would sell a warranty that covers the product and not all of the appliances because I am a senior citizen and paying almost $100 out of my SSA check is impossible to pay. read more

The cost was significantly more than expected. The technician had me sign once for a disclaimer, but not the estimate until he had already fixed the issue, which was a frozen drain. If we chose not to have them fix the refrigerator, the diagnostic cost would have been $119. Since we had them fix it, they applied that $119 to the $384 cost for the repair. No parts were needed, so we paid almost $400 for the technician to diagnose the issue and fix it by steaming the coil/drain. All of this was done in less than one hour. One hour of labor time for diagnosing and fixing the issue cost us almost $400. The technician had me sign the second time after the repair was completed. I later found out via email that the second signature was for the "estimate" I never got. The refrigerator needed to be fixed, but in my opinion, the cost was very high. The technician said it was Sears' flat rate and there was nothing he could do. This will cause me to think twice about using them in the future. I will say the technician was very nice and we will see if the issue was fixed. Fingers crossed for that. read more
