They are extremely safe regarding COVID at all grade levels and separate everyone into cohorts, so whenever there is exposure, we don't need to shut down the entire school. This entire school year, we have not yet had to stay at home due to COVID, which wasn't the case at the last school we enrolled our son in. As for his learning, his language has really exploded while being enrolled in the school. He has even started playing with other children so well and being interested in their activities, which I attribute to the great socialization at Buckley. My son loves going to school every morning. His teachers, Miss Susan and Miss April, are so wonderful and provide great updates on his progress as well as his classmates. The Buckley community as a whole is very welcoming and inclusive. My son was bullied, and then me. On October 3, 2023, my 3-year old son informed me that he was just…read morescratched and pushed by another boy. And that the same boy smacked him on the head on a prior occasion. I immediately informed his teacher . She asked who. My son said he already left, was wearing green. I informed his teacher the same and she blew me off that everyone is wearing green. On October 4, 2023, I arrived early to the schools outdoor playground to pick my son up. I caught on video the boy standing around waiting for my son to come out. And then attack him repeatedly, which my son blocked. I immediately told what I saw, to which she replied that she had kept them apart. On October 5, 2023, I showed her the video and she said she would contact the boy's mother. On October 6, 2023, teacher told me the boy's mother, did not like that I videotaped the boy. No apology or anything. Even if it was a stranger, the parent would at least apologize, but she didn't. On October 23, 2023, is when I first discovered who the bully's mother is because previous to that I did not see his mother accompany him. I ran into the boy's mother, in the hallway and confronted her about her son bullying my son. She refused to talk to me at all, went straight to the teacher, who then went to get the head of the school, all sat in a room and discussed what happened, I doing all the talking of what happened. Bully's mother just said she didn't have time for this and then left. Head of the school said I could get a refund. I said I wanted a mediation with the bully's parents.. Head said she is not a mediator but she will try to arrange one. On October 27, 2023, head met with me and informed me that they refused to mediate. She further tried to convince me to stay saying many nice things about how I am the type of parent that this school wants. She gave me her private number. On various occasion in November 2023, bully's mother regularly passes me and and my husband by. She gives me dirty looks. One time when my husband picked up my son and she picked up hers, then she said to bully: "Don't go near those people." I am Chinese by the way. On December 20, 2023, head emailed me a letter terminating my son from the school for allegedly cursing at bully's mother--which I did not do. Bully's mom is a snob and the school is elitist.
