PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!! USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY! We rented a house for a month so I could complete a masters program at Cal Poly. To start with the house we rented had an attached apartment. When we reserved this location we were told that it was included in the rental. Then the week before we got here we were told that the space had been rented and we would be sharing the property. This forced two of guest to sleep on the floor. We were promised internet and after a week still do not have any. (I can not complete my masters school work) The house has bugs, the microwave doesn't work, and the customer service is the worse. They will ignore our calls, and claim they never got messages. Please save your self the trouble and use another rental company. This one is terrible. read more

We booked a nice big house for our family reunion this summer in Myrtle Beach. We all booked flights, had it on our calendar for over 6 months, etc... then a month before the check-in date they tell us "Oops, the house is already booked by the owners and there's nothing we can do about it." A month is not much notice to find a house big enough for 20 people! In the end they cost us THOUSANDS of dollars to find a new place and change our plans last minute. Avoid these jokers at all cost! read more

First time renting in that area. The house was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed in. Very unhappy. Not sure when the jacuzzi tub jets were last cleaned. Front of stove had grease and food on it. Door handles and doors were filthy. So much dirt under the furniture it seems as though that is where the cleaners just swept it. There was a diabetic testing needle under one bed.!! Very disappointed. We have always stayed in a condo but needed a place large enough for out of state family. I was embarrassed to greet them. Thank God I brought Clorox wipes with me. Also, not enough eating utensils were there. Lots of glassware, but that is wasted if children are staying. Not family friendly at all. The pool is the size of like ten bathtubs side by side. Way too small for six rental houses to share!! Pool furniture was both sparse and all busted up. Needless to say, off our list!! read more

Rude reception. House was not ready at 4 PM as stated. They said they would call when it was ready but never did so we went back to the office and waited. First they could not find the key and then they did not know if the housekeeping staff had been there. Finally got in and the place was not very clean and the kitchen was not very well equipped. They listed the wrong trash collections days on the info sheet. The info sheet also said to fill out a comment page to turn in to the office but there was no comment sheet available, when I asked about it the front desk attendant said "what are you talking about?" and where did you get that idea? Just not a very friendly company. We will not use them again. read more

Agent Name = Seaside Rentals Premier Vacation Homes Rental Home = Surf's Up II, 311-B 3rd Avenue North, Surfside Beach, SC 29575 I am extremely reluctant about leaving negative feedback for individuals or companies. I understand that problems and other issues happen. However this case is over the top and I feel obliged to alert other families so they do not suffer as we did. The house, grounds and pool are extremely filthy and very nasty to the point of being a health hazard. The pool plaster was covered with a layer of brown algae. Many areas in the plaster were completely eroded and missing with black concrete/algae showing. The stairway was covered with filth, gum, mushy gunk, stains, dirt and lots of unknown stuff between the wood steps. The trash cans located in the garage area were filthy with lots of stains, liquids and stuff on the concrete. There were thousands upon thousands of ants everywhere in the garage and on the stairway. All heat pumps are located ON THE HOUSE ITSELF very much like a commercial building. They were not located on stilts beside the house. The result was an unbelievable load roar inside the house when the heat pumps were running which was most of the time. One bedroom was completely not useable because the heat pump was directly over head and the roar was outrageous. The rental company did come out and install a rubber mat under that heat pump which helped some. They told us the house was 6 years old but my estimate was 30 years old due to the lack of maintenance. The kitchen sink was stopped up when we arrived. The garbage disposal did not work. There was only one (1) end table in the entire great room and it was overloaded with stuff. The brick driveway was buckled and filthy with trash particles. The living room chairs were made for small munchkins. We tried to use the sofa bed since one bedroom could not be used because of the heat pump noise. The mattress was covered in dust, hairs, old pills and lots of unknown trash. It looked like it had never been cleaned nor had the sheet ever been changed. The rental agent spoke sympathetically but refused to offer us any credit. They blamed the property owner and said that he was responsible for maintenance not them. Seaside Rentals "Premier Vacation Homes" is a gross misnomer and not to be trusted. We will never rent from them again. We paid over $4000 + for a 7 day vacation. I honestly would not stay here for free. read more

The website does not allow you to get very specific, so I called for rentals in March of 2017, that were pet friendly. The person I spoke to on the phone acted like I was cutting into her break. I told her 3 times we wanted something beach front on S Waccamaw, after the fourth house she recommended on N Waccamaw, I said "We have stayed on the North end, in Surfside and Garden City and as far as we were concerned it sucked." Their response "WELL OK then!" And offered only 2 houses that would meet our needs. I ask to be put on the mailing list for 2017 to receive their book, for some reason I feel as if I'll never get it. Even if I do receive the book, with that kind of customer service on the front end I can only imagine how horrific it would be after they got your money. read more

We stayed at the Nirvana beach house, right on the water. Fantastic place! We had a group of 8, & there was plenty of room. Very clean & everything worked great. Only downside was the wifi was fairly weak. read more

Rude...I wish I could say good things about them but the way we where treated by everyone there that's the only polite way I can put it they where just rude and it seemed like they had a better then you attitude and didn't care about anything other then themselves read more

My family and I decided to go to South Carolina for our vacation. We used HomeAway for the booking as we always do. All was good until the day of getting the key. We were told between 3-5 for check in. At 4:15 PM we finally get the call to come get the key. The address on the packet is wrong, but we were still able to find the place. It is a gated community with a guard gate, which was suppose to know we were coming. This was not true. After about 15 minutes at the gate, we got our pass to enter the premises. After finally getting to the condo, everything checked out good. The view is nice, amenities were great, and definitely looks over the 10th Tee. Now not knowing that the place is part of a H.O.A. and the owners can have pets in their place but you can't, my husband has his daughter over and was outside smoking. Lady came and told them if they were to smoke, it would have to be out in the parking lot and then called the owner to tell on them. Next, I was trying to open the door were the washer/dryer is and did not notice that there was a metal stopper on a interior wood panel door. Being honest, I called the owner to tell him. My husband was going to either fix it or buy a new door for $29 at Lowes, but was told to wait and see how much Seaside Rental was going to charge him to fix it. We were told it is going to cost $75 to "Patch the hole." and it will be taken out of my security deposit. The hole is no bigger than the size of a quarter and it is going to be patched for $75??? New door-$29; Patched-$75 Negatives- If you have allergies against cat, dog, or any other animal do not ride in the elevator, do not expect to check in early, tree frogs noise in the breezeway at night, nosy neighbors. Positive-Quiet during the day and at night except for the frogs, minutes to anywhere, amenities. Overall, the place itself is 4 stars but I can not just rate it just on the place. My overall experience from booking, check in, stay, and departure is 2 Star. I hope this helps in you decision. I am not knocking the place at all, just the overall experience. read more

House was not ready until 5p although checkin is 4-6p. I was not pleased and the staff kept trying to prove that contract says they have til 6. I would have felt so much better about it if they had handed me a $20 gift card for Bubba's, right next door and said have a drink on us while you wait. They should probably have a supply of gift cards on hand. The house had mold in the showers and many of the windows would not close. It is obvious there is a lack of employee, as well as house oversight with this company. Keep in mind #1 in contract says... We will do everything possible to ensure your house is ready, but if not don't complain. If they did everything possible the house would be ready on time and I might not be writing this. read more

When we left we realized that our kids had lice!!! Yep, lice. We informed Seaside Rentals that day! We did not want the people staying after us to catch it. We happened apon the next family renting that property. They had not been notified and were going to stay without any notification of the lice. Ummm, it takes more than a few hours to get rid of lice on couches, pillows, etc! Gross! read more

I've rented from several different agencies and found Seaside to be the best I've dealt with. Homes were clean and as advertised and when we needed something addressed they were quick to respond. I'd recommend and use them again for another trip if we ever stay south of Myrtle again. read more

We rented a house from Seaside in July of 2014. One of the rooms (at least) had bed bugs. We were not sure until the final night of our vacation. As we checked out we notified Seaside, including what appeared to be the manager. We were told that they would send out a pest control inspector and tells what they found and instruct us on how to mitigate the situation. They never called us again. We called back and left a message which they did not return. We called again and talked to a manager who said she was aware of the problem but didn't know what the outcome had been. She told us she would look into it and get back to us. She never did. We called again, talked to another "manager" who said they had contacted the owner but he was out of the country and would have his own inspection done upon his return. The date we were told he would return has come and gone and we still have not heard from them. read more
