My family spent Thanksgiving weekend at a beachfront condo over Thanksgiving weekend (Wed-Sun). They were closed when we arrived at 1:30, closed Thanksgiving, which was expected. However, they were open 12-3 on Friday. I emailed the office Thursday to advise the condo was beautiful, but not clean. I even emailed these pictures. I know the e-mail was correct because I had contacted them a few times prior. Not only did they not come to clean, or at least bring me a cleaning tote, but they didn't even bother to call or email me regarding the complaint. It's been 2 weeks. When you have to pay It in full 30 days prior to arrival, it should be clean. They also want you to run the dishwasher, which is impossible without dish washer detergent. Duneside III #206 is right beside the pier, but it's noisy because it's at a busy intersection and the windows facing the road are old. (And filthy) Patio door and window need screens. Barking dogs and rude guests who get in after midnight and stand outside your window talking. If I owned that condo, I would expect the rental company to clean it. Not swiffer, clean the pics, the baseboards, the doors, cabinets and window sills. You pay them to do these things. I have fibromyalgia and needed to soak in the bath. This is their idea of clean. The view is gorgeous, but I don't think we'll stay here again. read more

They are our property management company and seem to forget that we pay them so they work for us. They have messed up our account on their end because they did not do what I told them to do when they were paid twice in September and now they have another company paying them out of our account because of a form we signed when they took over 3 years ago, I am getting ready to address a letter to them to recind that letter and sending a copy to both our attorney and bank. Do not deal with them if you do not have to, unfortunately, we have no choice. They have terrible communicate skills which shows that could care less about the people they are suppose to answer to and after reading the reviews about their rentals it shows they do not care about anything about MONEY!! read more

This company is absolutely horrible. We have a man in our community that has Christmas light up and they sent him a letter telling him to take them down or they would fine him! They didn't send any other resident that have decorations up a letter just this man. Talk about the grinch that stole Christmas! I was ripped off by Old Colony Realty of SC. I booked in Jan 2020,not knowing about the Covid-19 virus. In March when it became apparent that the virus was not going to be contained, we requested to cancel & requested a refund. Old Colony would not refund our deposit. NO REFUNDS is what they told us, even though virtually everything in MB was closed. Stay away from OLD COLONY REALTY of SC, very unethical. Our scheduled rental was not until Aug, there should have been more than enough time for us to cancel & OC book another tenant. It's businesses like these that give all businesses in MB a bad name! The worlds worst rental. I was assured by this company that they had the finest rental properties available. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There was mold, and the property had problems like doors not shutting properly, toilets that malfunctioned, and, inexplicably, a lack of light bulbs. read more

The place we rented was very expensive for what it was and in very bad shape. We paid more Hoping to get a nice place. Ripped off!! The floors were buckling, cabinet doors falling off, patio furniture put together with piping and falling apart. The pool was dirty and no chairs were out by pool which was blamed on COVID however all other places all around us had pool side furniture. There was what appeared to be mold on walls and registers. Worst of all were the roaches. I could handle most everything but not the disgusting bugs. When brought to their attention they said they just sprayed for bugs and were in process of updating. Well they really shouldn't be charging top dollar until updates are made. They were not friendly either. I would need rent through them again. I go to Myrtle beach a lot an have stayed at a lot of places. Many of them much cheaper than this and So much nicer. I have never been at one with bugs. Never again read more

We were greatly looking forward to our vacation in June. The coronavirus has really put a wrench in what we call normal and we were all looking forward to a vacation as a break from reality. Unfortunately, this company is unwilling to work with us to change our vacation date. Under normal circumstances, I would understand their unwillingness to change a date. They have a busy schedule and lots of people coming in and out. However, due to work policies that are out of our control, our originally booked date won't work. Instead of asking for a refund, we were only asking for them to let us switch the date to September. The new date would be half the cost of what we have already paid and we weren't requesting the difference back. They would be able to get double the rate for a September booking and still have a month to rebook the June date we were unable to keep but they are unwilling to do so. Customer service is a huge part of a business so I warn anyone who it considering using this company to chose a company who actually cares about the customers they serve. read more

The beach house I stayed at was in SurfSide Beach which is about 20 min drive south to Myrtle Beach. Their office is located on Surfside as well so I want to assume it is mostly based out of there and Garden City. Unlike Myrtle Beach this is definitely a family beach. Almost all the people here are families so it is more quiet and relaxing. If you have been to the Outer Banks in NC it is the same. Only difference is that you have Myrtle Beach close by for entertainment outside of the beach. I spent a week here from Friday to Friday but most of the house go from Saturday to Saturday. The Property I stayed at was called Café Mocha since all the houses have a theme. True to it's name the house was a Coffee colored and the theme was beachy/Coffee Shop. I spent labor day week here and let me tell you the pros. Well the beach gets quiet after labor day and you see lots of families with small children. The weather was excellent because it wasn't as hot for the kids. The house was as it was in the pictures. The house had everything needed from being away from home. Had a nice sized swimming pool, charcoal grill outdoor and shower to wash off the salt. Even had a nice little wagon to take your beach stuff back and forth. You really don't need to spend the 300.00 extra for the Golf Cart which we did not get. We also brought our own sheets which we were glad to bring. The washer and dryer are decent size and best part was that each room had it's own bathroom so that was a plus with multiple families. This house had 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms and powder room. Here are some of the Cons about the house. Please note that these houses will never be as clean as your own house and knowing that we knew it wouldn't be as clean as you expect from these beach houses. Looking quickly the house looked clean but as we started to settle in we noticed that wasn't the case. When we got there we found grease stains in the kitchen, bathrooms were sticky and floors also sticky and dirty. Knowing that these houses bring in sand daily you would think they would sweep the floor then mop but it seems like they only mopped but we found crumbs on the floor. All our feet were black from the floor and so of course being the type of person we are we cleaned the whole house again. We didn't have the tools we needed so it still wasn't to our standards. Next time we come to a beach house we will bring our own broom and swiffer wet jet because I feel only then will it be clean but maybe because we are neat freaks. I did call Lisa who is the contact and they had a house keeper clean but it ended up the same as how we cleaned it so even though they are responsive I will always be that person to clean a beach house that isn't as clean. The second problem we had were ants. Mind you that this out of their control and I let Lisa know and they sprayed and with in two days the ants were gone. Make sure to not leave any food out as it attracts many ants. That problem was solved. Pool was also a little dirty but they came by to clean it. Third Problem was that the middle floor or main floor would always get really hot from the afternoon to midnight. I am not sure what was the problem because it said it was working at 71 or 72 but actual temperature was 80 in the house. We did call Lisa and she left a voicemail saying someone would come but not sure if they ever did. It would eventually work and the house would be freezing in the morning. The good thing is that only 1 bedroom is downstairs so I who was sleeping there just used the fan. On the instructions it did say to make sure to lock all doors and we did but it would just always get hot. Not sure why. The upstairs remained cool through out the day. Fourth the Wi-Fi didn't work luckily I brought a hot spot but I also never brought it to their attention but something to think about. Last even though the house is beach house they could upgrade some of the electronics and have a DVD player instead of tape player and kitchen could use nice pans instead of the kind that make everything stick no matter how much butter you use and some Utensils to grill as well. Overall I did enjoy my stay here especially because we had family time and the house was great but could use some improvement. read more
