Except....they wanted to do X-rays of my mouth, and upsell me new dentures. I could tell that all I was to them is a sack of cash! Personally, I don't understand why they would need to do X-rays when the problem is a removable prosthetic device not part of my natural body. Sorry, but I don't willingly sign up to have my body dosed with radiation (unless there's a damn good reason to do so!). When I told them I'm not comfortable doing X-rays, I was told "it's non-negotiable". EFD didn't do any of that. I went in, dropped off the denture, and picked it up the next day. Great customer service. No hassles, no upselling. If and when I need new dentures, they will be my go-to. They did a great job on the repair.

After my intake appointment I received a bill for the full price of the intake appointment. My insurance told me they (and most Insurances) don't approve 2D photos unless there is a medical necessity for them and that they billed the intake as a "Doctor Exam" which I had met my amount of Doctor Exams for the year of 2025. When I called them, I was told they only verify the Insurance would be accepted and they don't check to ensure insurance will cover the appointment, which is completely different than what I was told when I scheduled the appointment. So now I am on the hook for $200 and I am not even going to use them because of their shady business practices. I don't impress easy and I was very impressed at the attention Dr Mark gave me and with his knowledge. My previous dentist missed why the second tooth broke because they only have 2D x-rays (had he caught it ahead of time the truth would not have broken). Smile Mission has 3-D and was able to see the broken tooth filling from a long time ago by my gum had decay. It took him some time to work on it to save the tooth, another Dentist probably would've just pulled it and I would've had to get an implant. He has quite a few assistants, which do a majority of the work, scanning your mouth, etc., younger, appears although I don't know possible Dentist in training, and like nurse practitioners appeared to give better help sometimes than doctors themselves. Dr Mark was awesome. Explaining to me about medications my primary care physician has prescribed, but I haven't started taking; this medication would have affected my dental care if not now, but in the future. Obviously, with these prices, he's very busy and I thought about not leaving a review because I really don't want him busier, but I am grateful for the time he spent explaining things to me that my primary care physician should have done. My wait was not long after my appointment and they have massage chairs in the waiting room. The office staff was polite.

They only filed ONE diagnostic code (equivalent of $574.40) and received an electronic payment on May 13 for the previously stated amount. Today is July 11 and I have not received my reimbursement. I have multiple diagnostic codes that were never sent to my insurance company. The total money I paid is close to $7000 out of pocket. I called the office asking to speak with someone in billing. There was a long pause as if no one in billing was available; it was 3:50pm. The person that answered the phone listened to my concern and told me he "would make a note of it" and someone would call me. When I asked when that would happen, he said "today or tomorrow". "Tomorrow" is Saturday. I said, "Oh so someone will be there to talk to." The man on the phone said yes. I have an appointment today (Saturday) and I will be inquiring whom to talk to when I arrive for my appointment at noon. This office also charged me for 2 crowns that they suggest I get. When I asked about why I was charged for services not rendered (or even scheduled) I was nonchalantly told, "Well you'll only owe $35!" I don't trust this company. They have my money then are paid by the insurance company without reimbursing the patient. They ARE NOT accredited by the Better Business Bureau and I can understand why.

We have been patients here for many years and loved Dr Sellepan who unfortunately left to a…read moredifferent practice without any notice :( We always had a good experience with the previous office staff also. All new office staff came with the new dentist (Dr Moates) and they are not kind nor professional. My daughter had a composite put on her front tooth for covering a hypoplasia spot. Dr Moates said it was a simple fix and was absolutely positive it would cover the discoloration. He began to grind down the area and added the composite then grinded it again to smooth it down which took off the composite color that he had added. He looked at me and said "sorry I thought it was going to work but she can come back and I'll try it again". He never once asked my daughter if she could feel it when he was grinding on the tooth and she later told me she could so of course she's frightened to go back for him to "try it again". During my visit- he voiced his opinion that he did not agree with the small piece of wiring (permanent retainer) put in by Dr Sellepan, after having Invisalign, so he refused to re-do it and referred me to an orthodontist because he said he doesn't do that type of stuff. I called the office about 15 min later -regarding the experience my daughter had and that I thought it was unfair my insurance was charged and I had to pay a fee on top of it. I asked to speak to the office manager, the office staff blatantly lied and said she had left an hour ago- when she was there before we had left. She told me she would have her call me back, which never happened. I called the next week, the office manager was kind and said she would file a dispute but she doubted it would go anywhere because the service was provided even though the outcome wasn't what the dentist so confidently claimed would work. She said she'd call me back when she got a response about the dispute and she never did. I will never go back to that office for the lack of professionalism of staff and poor care of the dentist.
