But now they have new dentists, specifically. Dr Endaya, who is a shark. She told me I needed two crowns, and she pushed me to do it the same day... She also insisted that I could not just do one crown because it would be easier for her and for me to do both of them at the same time. When I said I needed to think about it, she left and sent in another woman who tried to close the deal. Honestly, I've had better treatment at a used car lot. And again this is upsetting because I really like the hygienist, and appreciate his quality work. It is my understanding that this office is now affiliated with pacific dental services network, and that this high-pressure tactic is common in their affiliated offices. For example, the rear tooth on a bridge had a very thin crown, which shattered after a few years. Other teeth on the bridge were fine, but bridge itself could not be replaced. Option: three implants to replace it. He asked me whether I minded having just the metal for that tooth. Worked fine, not visible, and provided adequate service for 10 to 12 years. The office is very clean and professional, the technicians are friendly and helpful, and the staff are VERY thorough regarding the initial x-rays and exams (now I understand why they tell you to make a separate cleaning appoint, because it takes a long time just to do all the x-rays and initial screenings). I don't mind if something takes a long time because they are doing their job. What I do mind is that, after all the screenings and such, the dentist himself made me wait THIRTY minutes in the chair. I should have known it was a bad sign when the staff turned on the TV for me; they thought I might be entertained/distracted by the HGTV show. I was THIS close to walking out when the doctor finally came in, and I think he was with me for three minutes. As I was leaving, the person at the front desk was supposed to scan a document for me, but she started helping another customer. I just walked out without even checking out; they had made me wait too long, and I wasn't waiting another minute. They can call me if they need something from me!
