We had a wonderful experience with Seasport divers- specifically Brad, Jack and Captain Tom! It's a very chill place. We went for the afternoon dive as I'm not as experienced as everyone else. The boat wasn't completely full there was about three for one instructor and four for another. I had a little panic attack on my first dive when water got in my mouth and nose and I had to sit that one out (was my fault, didn't do the boat jump properly and was downhill after that). but Brad was wonderful and came up with a plan to get me down the second dive more carefully. It was excellent! He stayed with me the whole time and made sure I was OK before he went off. He showed us lots of cool stuff, we saw tons of fish and eels. They do take really good care of you. I felt very comfortable diving with Brad. After we finish diving got to jump off the boat a little bit enjoy the water. It was a lot of fun. Captain Tom was amazing. I would recommend coming here. It's a very chill place. We would definitely use them again. They had some chips and water for snacks on board. The dive sites were fairly close by, the water is a little choppy so I did have to take nondrowsy Dramamine but I do get motion sickness, so maybe that's just me. It is on the more expensive side about $400 for two people but it includes everything (personals, dive suits, 2 tanks etc). Enjoyed it a lot! The water is pristine! We have been diving with SeaSport several times over the years and have always had a great time with phenomenal divemasters/instructors as guides. This summer our 10 and 13 year old sons got certified with both online and in-person learning. Their instructor, Meghan, was the absolute BEST and really "got" the boys and sprinkled in confined water skill with the classroom stuff to keep them interested. She was amazing and I think that our 10 year old would have given up if not for her enthusiasm and great teaching style. Now they are both so proud and excited that we get to share this sport that we love so much. The day we dove with the boys for their certification Captain Jordan and his amazing crew/dive guides (in addition to Meghan, there were Cam, Manny and John with us) took us to two great dive sites and kept everyone happy, safe and entertained. All four of us are diving with SeaSport again tomorrow :-) Great shop, great instructors and amazing diving. Highly, highly recommend! read more

When we are here in Po'ipu we dive as much as we can and we only ever dive with SeaSport. They have the best boats and dive masters on the island. Great equipment if you need to rent, great ship for purchasing if you need to buy anything. They are super close to the harbor where we launch and they are very full service. We feel very safe when we are diving with SeaSport. Our kids (current ages 11 and 14) got certified with them last summer and they are both great divers even though they have not done many dives. Just got done with my dive. The company was good but the women who was our diving instructor was horrible. HER NAME WAS SIERRA. She was short and annoyed with us from the moment we entered the shop. She did not seem to want to be there as all. She proceeded to give us an extremely fast and cursory education on how to do thing under the water whole scuba diving. She basically zipped through it while attempting her best to avoid all the questions my freind and I had. We were the only two people she was guiding as well. When we finally were in the water she literally rolled her eyes and became irritated that we diddnt do the things, that she barely taught how to do, to perfection. This became very scary under water, where she is very comfortable, but yet obviously the guest might not be. When I needed help with something she just floated there looking at me with her arms crossed rolling her eyes until I solved the problem with my air for myself. She gave me too little weight so I had to swim like crazy just to keep near the bottom, where she insisted I be. And then yet again proceeded to get mad at me for not being able to be right next to her the entire time. All of this made me scarred to go down with her on the second dive for fear of her just letting me choke on water at 40 feet eblow the surface until I figured it out myself. So I refused and told her I just didn't feel great, which I didn't on account of the amount seawater I swallowed the first time around, while she watched me solve problems without her help. She continued to be short, annoyed, and bitchy the entire rest of the trip. All of this made what was supposed to be an amazing experience into a real drag. I will find a different dive shop next time. I suggest you skip it entirely. read more

This shop was fantastic - the people were wonderful, the sites were great, the boat was comfortable, and all the little things added up to something spectacular. Obviously, the Ni'ihau dive day is one for the memory books, but my husband and I spent a good deal of time with the shop while we were on Kauai, and Seasport Divers is taking a position at the very top of our rankings. Closer trips to Sheraton Caverns, Stone House, and others did not disappoint. Partially due to the amount of diving we were doing in a short amount of time, it really felt like the shop's captains and dive guides (DMs, Instructors, ...) got to know us, what we were interested in, and what we were/weren't comfortable with in our dives. Anyone who mentions Kauai gets an immediate recommendation for this shop from us. My only concern is that they'll be annoyed to see us when we return next year XD read more

Excellent crew. Captain Andrew did a fantastic job navigating through pretty big swell and making it feel as smooth as possible. He was a tremendous help getting us in and out of the water. My dive master Mani was very good at being patient and encouraging when I initially had nervousness on our first dive due to the very rough surface water. I was able to calm down and descend for our dive as a result. I'm grateful for his patience. My favorite was the 2nd dive with a lot of turtles and lava tubes. Hard to pick the right dive shop as a single diver over yelp..... walked into this shop my second day on the island while staying in po'ipu! They were so helpful and informative! I booked. My partner and I dove with them 2 days, first with Cameron on a shore dive that went very well. He provided needed assistance and great guidance. He is a great steward of the ocean too. We encountered a large sea turtle trapped in fishing line and couldn't get to the surface from 30 feet deep. Cameron freed it enough so it could take a breath and then the sea turtle swam back down to finish getting untangled. Then on the next day, We did a boat dive and Erica with captain Tom took us to a spot with countless friendly sea turtles. A memory that will last a lifetime. I dove with Seasport Divers one day (2 dives) and it was a great experience. The dive master has over 15000 logged dives on Kauai alone. He spots things on the reef as if he lives there. On the first dive we saw 5 octopuses and many eels. They are friendly, provide great equipment and make the entire experience memorable. They provide snacks and drinks and talk to every person on the boat. I would dive with them again and would recommend them to experienced and beginner divers. read more

These guys were awesome! I went out with 2 other divers (all 3 of us were not certified) and they brought us to some wicked cool dive locations. We saw an octopus, some turtles, tons of fishes, and got to swim through underwater archways. Lots of fun. We even saw two whales breach the surface on our drive back to the harbor! We were with two dive guides (Andrew and John) who were very professional and very fun. Our boat captain (Tom) also had great stories to tell and made the trip to-and-from the dive sites easy. Easily my favorite diveshop ever. All of the crew is incredibly friendly and I just feel "at home" when I walk in the door. I've been diving with Seasport numerous times over the years and I keep coming back to them when I'm in Kauai. I recently got my Rescue Diver certification with Seasport after getting my Advanced Open Water on my previous trip. My husband also got his Open Water cert too. John and Matt were fantastic instructors...very patient and thorough. We both felt well informed and that we had become better divers as a result of taking their class. I also took this trip to buy my own gear for the first time -- Teighler stayed late to walk me through everything and Josh made sure that I was happy with everything. I wasn't expecting a small dive shop in Hawaii to be competitive price-wise, but I compared prices to Amazon...I got a great deal, plus awesome customer service that I wouldn't have gotten from buying online. And I got to use it the very next day and talk with the staff about my questions. Captain Andrew runs a very safe and clean ship. He's been with the company for years and I remember chatting with him in between dives on previous trips as well. Erica was also a great divemaster! If you decide to go here for a refresher course it will be a waste of time... I arrived at 10:00 for a 10:30 skills refresher. Other divers needed their medical clearance, which should have been done before they arrived that day... when mentioning why was I asked to arrive at 10:30 to staff they don't take you serious, they laughed in my face. I ended up standing around until 12:30, then I was left at the dive shop until I inquired about the instructors that had left without me, once I mentioned that staff just casually said "sorry they forgot". Most of the the family that needed medical clearance ended up being sea sick and weren't able to do much diving. They should be embarrassed and get their clearance done before showing up to the dive shop... The dive sights were great I was able to go with Andrew who was a good dive guide, but the sea turtles and octopus were harassed while underwater. For example sea turtles had lights shined on them while they were sleeping, octopus were grabbed underwater from their dens, and this behavior shouldn't be something that dive guides should do or get away with. I also paid for Nitrox and was hoping to get some extra dives in, don't pay for nitrox you won't get anything extra. Finally, the staffs interactions with each other on the boat wasn't family friendly, as an example the female staff and male staff were groping each other mentioning sticking things up each others butts, all while acting very unprofessional...this was very uncomfortable and I would have been very upset if my family was there. I have never not left a tip for staff before but on this trip I didn't feel that anyone deserved a tip. Let me be sure to clarify, the captain of the boat was fantastic and professional, he knew where we needed to go and wanted to show us as much marine life as possible. The dive sites were great, the captain was great the shop owner/ manager was great. But the dive staff and shop workers are a nightmare to work with. I hadn't been on a dive in a few years but I know this dive shop doesn't have very knowledgeable staff. I have family members who are dive masters and have seen well run shops. I will never be coming back to this shop, I would be happy to further explain my situation to the manager or owner if possible. read more

Sea sport Divers created an awesome day for me. First I was able to do a quick shore refresher ( nice Job Erika and Corbin!!) in the morning which was included in the PM dive. For the afternoon I was paired with 3 other certified divers and Francesca as our Dive Master. We did two dives where visibility was 50-60 feet. We saw lots of fish,Turtles, Eels, and one Octopus which was coaxed from its hole. Great dive spots close to the harbor including Sheraton Caverns. After last dive we moved to a school of Spinner dolphins and got a good show. Everyone was very nice and service oriented. Basically Princess Diving where most the work is done for. Just spent three straight days diving with Seasport Divers. Marvin clearly only hires the best. From Teighler & Allie at the front office to Erica, Manny, John, Corbin, all the way to Capts. Andrew & Tom had a 5 star experience on every trip, every dive. The Octo's, Mantas, Eagles, White Tips and many many turtles were a delight on every dive. Great opportunity to take a couple of newly PADI certified divers on a very nice 2 tank dive on the South Shore of Kauai. First ocean morring was at Stone House. Pretty 35-65 ft top reef w/ turtles and loads of fish. Second spot called Sheraton Caverns was about same depths. Spotted 8 arm creatures, large sleeping turtles and more, big reef shark in cavern. Noticed very nice antler corals surrounded by beautiful reef fish. Both dives on Nitrox, very comfortable and our Divemaster Kalama was very professional! 55min and 64min bottom times with plenty of air to spare. Felt safe and had a blast with Corbin as our dive master. I hadn't dove in 15 years and just took my reactivate course ... Corbin helped me know what to anticipate and kept us safe as the current got a little stronger as the day progressed, he was an excellent guide. Manny was excellent too, in his briefings and helping us to know what to expect and reminders to keep us safe. Erica just made the trip so much fun, such a positive and happy person. We saw so many things and swam within inches of the seals and sharks. Got to see a humpback whale and dolphins during our surface interval. It was truly a once in a lifetime kinda dive! This time I, unfortunately, got a spec of sand in my eye underwater on the first dive and was prepared to sit out the second dive and tough out my discomfort while everyone else dove.
