I recently fractured my ankle and its been six weeks and I am in the final healing stages. I signed up on their website and chose Melissa R. She was caring and really understood and listened to the problems I was having with my body. She noticed how swollen my ankle still was and decided to focus primarily on my ankle but also on weight loss, insomnia and my plantar fasciitis. Her needle placement was perfect and no pain and her methods were very gentle, even on tense areas I have ( like my palm and bottom of my feet ). It's a little intimidating being in a room with other people but I felt relaxed within 5 minutes of my treatment. All of a sudden Melissa was waking me up, and I couldn't believe that I fell asleep as that never happens! I have taken a 30ish min nap each time I have been and that is incredible that I am able to sleep in a situation like that ( for my active mind ). My ankle in 10 days has drastically reduced swelling and I am ready to hit the gym gently again as I am able to fully weight my ankle. I am sleeping better, and through the night and my food cravings are less. We are still working on my Fasciitis but it's pretty extreme and I do feel a mild difference ( which has to do with the shoes I wear, ect ) You pay based on your financial situation from $20-$40 for normal treatment, and self check out when you leave. I love that I can use my FSA card and although they don't accept insurance you can bill your insurance on your own and they will provide you a insurance receipt. I plan to continue to go one to two times a week. I feel relaxed and love the level of care i get and although my last experience was at a teaching hospital I definitely like seeing a expert and the immediate results I noticed is incredible for me. One point is they are a NO FRAGRANCE clinic. So keep in mind when making your appointment as they won't be able to treat you if you emit a fragrance. Even laundry softener can emit strong fragrances in a clinic like that so plan ahead as that is their policy to protect their patients sensitivities.

I was immediately impressed with her professionalism, repertoire of skills, and warmth. But several months ago I had a serious attack of low back pain that was absolutely debilitating. I could barely walk or even dress myself without excruciating pain. I went to Heather and could hardly even get out of the car to get into her office. She gently helped me onto the table and began her marvelous work. I can truly say I hobbled in with a 10 and walked out with a 1 on the pain scale. A couple of days later I had inched up to a 2 and came in for another treatment. I walked out with no pain at all, complete mobility, and happily returned to my normal busy activities! It was a very gentle experience, Hyejung was so nice and walked me through the process and explained what kind of sensation I'd feel for each needle point. Now I have gone to 4 appointments and am in awe of the power of acupuncture. Not only has it helped with neck range of motion and neck/back pain and mobility, but it also has been so amazing for feeling relaxed and centered. The pain is mostly manageable, but I couldn't sleep last night from the pain. I got up feeling totally jacked and decrepit. He fit me in last minute, some quick injections and 2 hours later I have relief. The treatment isn't exactly pleasant but it is worth it. He's worth it. He's worth the drive (30 mins for me, but people drive 3 hours from Portland to see him and leave happy) and the cost. I can't even explain what a difference he makes in my quality of life.
