I can't say enough good stuff about Bothell Chiropractic and Wellness-- since coming here they have made me feel so much better. Not only is the care top notch, they listen to their patients and work together with them to curate their care plan. I also really love the fact that they have a robust stretching and exercise regimen to assist in your care and overall wellness. I sleep better now, I function better, and I'm in so much less pain. All of the doctors are amazing, and the front desk/office staff and rehab folks are my favorite!! The worst experience I've had going here.. it is clearly the owner's doing: - Fear mongering tactics to only trust them, while some can be beneficial to you, sure, but they only want you to rely on them and to keep going (don't be surprised if they push you to sue if you're in an accident and double down on fear tactics). - Everytime I was there, the owner would make completely inappropriate sexual comments, it made me feel extremely uncomfortable (it was surprising that the comments happened every single time I was there, it was around other patients too that I overheard, not just around me). - They switch you around from different Chiropractors so you never get someone that's with you on your journey of healing.. the treatment took such a short amount of time and when I had major pain in one part of my body, it wouldn't even show up on the scan and had to ask them to start treating me there. The scans didn't seem accurate nor did the chiropractors even want to spend time having a conversation of how you are doing most of the time. - It's unfortunate with the Physical Therapist, she's extremely young and new, also the only one there. She also has never been there with me, unless it's the start of a new move, to analyze if I am doing them correctly. I have injured myself over 3 times and it put me out of work too many times. At the same time, the one that really hurt me was when she was showing me and another at the same time, which I ended up learning incorrectly and only found out after I got really messed up and put me out of work. - They sell & give away alcohol.. the last Chiropractor Clinic I went to advised NOT to drink alcohol as it inflammation in the body, this is easy to find information on too. Due to the fact it dehydrates you should be a good enough reason not to drink it.. ask good chiropractors, they will advise on staying hydrated and drinking a lot of water instead. - On the alcohol point, I've heard talks about the owner's office smelling so strong of whiskey that it's unbearable to be in from the workers when cleaning up for the day. - Alcohol would be left out for patients to drink as much as they want without food (no one was monitoring this btw).. isn't that encouraging drinking and driving makes people that have been in an drunk driving accidents paranoid about this. - Earlier, when I was afraid to stop using masks more due to my immunocompromised family member, the owner said they don't use masks because they've been "traumatized".. what? I think it's more traumatizing if you pass a sickness that can kill your patient's already weakened loved ones.. I guess they don't care or would rather deny that. I've had friends of family members think the same and tore families apart since one didn't think it was a big deal and ended up being the one to blame for their death.. I get it, wearing a mask is inconvenient, but even if you don't believe in it, a lot of companies wore them at the ease for the patients worries in protecting their loved ones. (Also they've shown clips on the TVs stating along the lines that they are against vaccines). - As much as I love dogs, I've not only witnessed one of them aggressively barking at someone just because they had a hat on (which no one warned you about.. not even a sign) and it terrified this woman, but I've been bitten by one of them because I gave them a treat, which also no one shows you how to feed them those properly. It hurt badly but I didn't want anything to happen to the dogs. Idk what would of happened if it was a kid. - My bills got to the point where I was also paying over $3,500 a month.. this was absolutely ridiculous, no wonder they were trying to get me to sue so I could stay paying that much (my insurance rep that has been doing this for 30 years said some do this and it's disgraceful). Overall, if you want a place that actually cares about their patients and entirely about themselves.. then go somewhere else. You'll have a much better experience elsewhere. There's many others with the same issues with this place.. just search by reviews and the lowest scores.. don't just take my word for it. You've been warned. read more

I am on the young end of the spectrum but was having neck pain so decided to seek help. It was easily and quickly able to schedule an appointment, girls at the front desk are delightful. When meeting with the doctor everything was clear from x-rays to exam. They answered every question when going over results and although the news wasn't great, they had a plan that was easy to understand. Love, everything about this place! I was a true skeptic about chiropractors, until my friend took me to dinner with the doc. I got a free consult and they have dogs running around everywhere. Me being a dog liver went for the dogs. Now I've been going regularly for about a month keeping up with the PT recommended & the adjustments. You really have to follow what the doc says if you want to feel better. I had such bad headaches & my shoulders Down to my back just constant discomfort to the point I could hardly function. It took about 3 weeks to actually start noticing hey I don't have a headache any more, my back is what working, crazy! I could go on about the dream if just sleeping three a night without waking in pain. Then I noticed after a couple of adjustments I was sleeping, like a deep heavy sleep. Yikes! Unless you're into being pressured to pay up front for your spine health I say stay away. It's really too bad they have a beautiful facility with friendly competent staff but all trained to get them in to close the sale. I was super impressed that I could walk in and get a very comprehensive consultation and X-rays right on the spot but super unimpressed with the high pressure sales tactics. I thought this type of get them in sell them a time share approach was a thing of the past for chiropractor centers but I was mistaken. They are a well oiled machine! They Lay out the many levels of care you will be receiving over the next 3 months, what's days work , what times work and how will you be paying for them up front?! Within 5 minutes of my follow up appointment I was aware what was happening and trying not to be rude to the very young sales person, Dr Casey, I let her finish her presentation. This is not her fault. It's the owners fault for building a business model based on this form of sales. I really looked forward to working with Dr C but I could tell she HAD to go through each step because it's part of her job. I had/ have a pain 7 out of 10 and naively thought I was going to be on my way to better but was informed if I didn't buy all 36 sessions they wouldn't even a single adjustment to relive the acute pain that brought me to them. I left in pain and had lost valuable after work family time as a single parent to be pressured in to a sale or told I can't be adjusted. WOW! Poor form Bothell Chiropractic and wellness! They use high pressure sales to try and get you to pay thousands upfront for just a 3 months of care. I would highly recommend doing your research on what chiropractic care can do for you before proceeding with this establishment. Most of their claims as to what their services can cure are scientifically unfounded. I like to see a chiropractor regularly, but it is a treatment to keep things comfortable, not a cure all. I don't go here for chiropractic but go here only for massage so my review will only be based on massage experience. Zoey: She has the bright blue/green hair, wears mask all the time and does a high pressure deep massage. Her massages are strong and does all over the whole body. I think you would get the most out of the hour from her to work on those tight muscles. If you really need to get your knots out of your muscles, I highly recommend her. Kayla: She took off her mask immediately after she went to the back room, which was surprising because I am pregnant and I kept my mask on the whole time. Her massages are relaxing and really light. I don't think any of my knots went away because my muscles are super tight... but if you want a nice relaxing massage that you can doze off to, would definitely recommend her! Daniel: He's the older guy, but has the most experience. Even if you just give him the general problem area you're having, he will find the exact spot. You don't even need to tell him where you have pain or tightness and he will find it and work on it. I think most massage places will only give you like 45 to 50min massages for "an hour" massage to get ready and leave, but he always give me the full hour 60mins massages. My muscles feel relaxed and the knots are gone! I think he is my favorite so far from this place. read more

I am so disappointed in how my 18 year old son was treated by Dr. Dubois. He had been in a slight fender bender and Dr. Dubois was charging his PIP an exorbitant amount of money and I was watching the charges increase every week and I had told the office he only had $10k in PIP to use. My son asked to only get adjustments and not be charged all the extras that he deemed unnecessary only to be told they were going to do what they wanted and charge what they wanted. When I emailed regarding the charges and what services were actually being done I got a scathing email from Dr. Dubois and the next appointment my son went in for he was approached and told he was dumb and stupid and didn't know what he was doing and he was not allowed to manage his own care and they would not treat him anymore. He stood and took the abuse and replied nicely and thanked her for the treatment and left the office in tears for how badly he had been spoken to and treated by Dr. Dubois. read more

I should have read the other reviews before going here. I wasted two trips there and 2 hours of my time for nothing but a high pressure sales pitch that wanted me to pay $4K approximately for three months of treatment. The first visit consisted of xrays and a 10 minute consult with one of the chiropractors there. The second visit was with Dr. DuBois who reviewed the xrays and proceeded to lay out a 3 month treatment plan that included everthing from a neck pillow, orthotics and a 2-3x weekly plan for adjustments. No adjustments or therapy was provided at either visit.I was told that after my insurance paid out its 26 week annual allotment, I would still owe approximately 1500.00 There were "payment options" that were presented and the comments "You would be lucky to have anyone touch your back with the problems you are having - we are willing to do so". I went home and thought about it and it just did not past the smell test. I then went to Yelp and read previous reviews and everything fell into place. I called them a couple of days later and informed them that I did not feel like the were the right fit for me and that I would not be availing them of their services. They indicated that they would bill my insurance for the "consultation". As they were a in-network provider and I had already fulfilled my deductible for the year - I didnt really worry about it. The insurance EOB showed up this week and I was a bit shocked. Although it wasn't alot of money, the main issue was that they billed my insurance for "physio/mechanical therapy" when they had never touched me - and an additional 105.00 for "medical services" which was nothing more than a sales pitch. They ended up getting 289.00 from my insurance which was way more than they deserved. They did take xrays and were compensated for that as well. When I called them and asked for an explanation, I was told that the therapy was actually a foot scan they had one in preparation for custom orthotics. I told them that they did not perform therapy and that was the wrong billing code. I was not asked in advance as to whether or not I wanted custom orthotics before they scanned my foot and I would have declined if I had been given the choice. I have notified the insurance company and will let them deal with their billing practices, however, there is no way in heck I would ever go back to these people. There is no such thing as getting a simple adjustment from these people. You have to subscribe to a treatment plan that is cost prohibitive for most people. Its chiropractors like this that give the trade a bad name! Oh and a footnote, her big hairy dogs are all over the office and I walked out of there covered in dog hair - not okay! read more

I first discovered Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness a few months ago when my poor mother was having horrible back pain. Not knowing what to do I decided to scour Yelp for a Chiropractor, thinking maybe that would help her. That's when I came across Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness. My mom got a visit right away and as I've since witnessed myself, all the staff from the front desk, to the Chiropractors, specifically Dr. Doerge, genuinely care about you! They are knowledgeable and helpful! After a couple of months visiting Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness my mom is a completely different woman! She rarely suffers from back, leg or shoulder pain now, and this is saying a lot as she's suffered from this for as long as I can remember. Being an office worker I too was having some middle back pain, and also having lost a large amount of weight my body was completely out of wack. My back pain is gone and it's no longer a pain, literally, to do my work! As with most of my reviews I find it's important to note what the facility is like. Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness is in a beautiful building right downtown off Main St. It's clean, bright and airy and full of state of the art equipment. Save yourself a lot of frustration and go somewhere that does not charge you upfront for a ton of visits. When was the last time you went to a "doctor" of any kind and they told you...Oh I should have you well in 12 weeks...go ahead and pay me thousands of dollars now. As it turns out...after reading the reviews EVERY ONE needs 12 weeks...LOL. Good luck getting your money back from this clinic should you decide not to use their services. They are quick to grab your money and very reluctant to give it back. I have heard about chiropractors that suck you in to purchasing a bunch of visits but this is my first hand experience with one. The clinic has a lot of gadgets (you are explained how to use them and then you are pretty much on your own as you walk through your routines through out the weeks) not much actual hands on with the doctors. Do yourself a favor and just join a gym with a personal instructor for less money. I did not find the owner of the clinic to be very personable. I cld tell when I walked in that several different sales pitches wld be coming my way, just due to all of the products housed in the lobby. I went for x-rays due to my neck being painfully locked up, my spine is a chiropractor's dream due to all the issues, I can tell if a Chirop. truly cares about my health and this place does NOT. I was sooooo mad at the way this clinic disregards suffering human beings if that person is not able to pay $3k!! That to me is DISCRIMINATING AGAINST PEOPLE ON FIXED INCOMES OR THOSE LESS FORTUNATE FINANCIALLY! Right off the bat I told one of the excessive # of receptionists that I always request copies of x-rays, MRI's, etc. for my own records and she looked at me like I had asked her to give me her right arm. :-0 Then I had to endure 40 min. of scripted dialogue from the young but nice chiropractor who wld get totally thrown off script if I asked questions, telling me to wait until he was done to ask Q's tho I never got to later either. Finally, he tells me my treatment plan will cost $3,000 and asked how I wld like to pay that (also suggesting a care credit card type option). I had told him in the beginning that I was on low disability income so I wld only do what my medicare allowed per year. BTW I found out later that this routine is the OWNER's mandatory way for staff to (coldly) treat patients so don't blame the hired chiropractors. It seemed so greedy, phony and inhumane. They don't care at all for the patients, only their pocketbooks. At the end of appt I said well can you now (finally) release my locked neck? He said, sorry but we don't do emergency fixes here, only long-term (expensive) care. I was sooooo angry at the way this clinic disregards suffering human beings if that person is not able to pay $3k!! GREEDY, discriminating and UNcaring. Sidenote: some of the 5 star reviews seem fishy to me, like one guy from Philadelphia??? Also the Ms. Q. review tho I have no way of knowing which are planted/fake. read more

I was in a car accident and was sent here to fix up my back, they eventually got me feeling a bit better. The major problem(s) I've encountered with this place are: 1 - pretty sure one of the newer chiropractors really messed up my neck! 2 - They (Dr. D) refused to let me discharge when I said my back was 100% better. 3- All the massage therapists (except for one or two of them) are pretty harsh, and left me with really bad pain and spasms. 4- some people there really force a conversation/ customer service...in a way that makes you feel awkward. overall it was a weird experience and I'm glad it's over. First, Dr. Doerge was awesome! Love the guy...treated my wife and I with respect 110% of the time. Massage Therapists were awesome! Great job every time...the 3* are for these people. Sadly, the rehab specialist was not a good situation...my wife was repeatedly yelled at for not coming early enough to get all her work done...though half the time she was there she was ignored. But you can only do so much in the time they schedule you. And honestly I felt uncomfortable around this person almost all the time. We only went for two months...and still are paying this off. They will quote to very low prices for everything only to have them almost double. Make sure they check with your insurance company before giving you "Estimates." If Dr. Doerge ever goes somewhere else to practice, I would LOVE to know! read more

Its been about 4 months since I first visited the Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness office and I'm happy to report that I am feeling so much better than when I started. Most of the aches and pains I started with have been eleviated and now it seems we are focusing on the last area that's really holding out (and is probably the true cause of all my suffering:-P). My job has me sitting in front of the computer screen most of the day and overtime bad posture can set in and wreak havoc on your upper and lower back...with Dr. Dubois and Dr. Parker's help, we've strengthen the muscles and opened up the nerve pathways that's causing all the issues. They've encouraged me to take charge of my of my own recovery and really use what I do during my visits to make it part of my normal routine at work and at home...as with any physical therapy, the results are truly driven on how committed you are in getting better and staying better.
