I contacted EV Guys along with three other companies listed in PSE's Recommended Energy Professionals (REP) Directory. After speaking with all of them, I chose EV Guys because of their professionalism, high quality work, customer focused approach, and reasonable pricing. Behrang, the owner, is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. He presented several design options and walked me through each one in detail -- including panel capacity, breaker selection and layout, installation locations, and cost considerations. He answered all my questions thoroughly and helped me feel confident in my decision. His responsiveness and consideration are outstanding. After the installation, whenever I had questions or needed help, he replied promptly -- even on weekends. He is also an excellent project manager, handling scheduling, accounting, and the permit process smoothly and efficiently. His crew delivered top notch workmanship: precise, clean, and fast. This is a nice office building with several places to grab lunch M-F but retail is all closed after 3pm and on weekends. No wifi in garage but take the elevator up to lobby for a beautiful sitting area and outdoor space. But after hours you may have to work to find your way back into the garage so keep an eye out for signage.

Although I'm sure there are some exception cases, after deep dive research, I'm 100% convinced that hardwired EVSEs are safer and more stable than just plugging a Level 2 mobile charger into a NEMA 14-50R 250v outlet (as we'd done with the Tesla, because that was the standard in 2018). Andy did a great job communicating with us and then prepared a fairly priced sensible proposal. With Max, their highly experienced journeyman electrician, scheduling and install went smoothly. The work passed its Seattle DCLU electrical inspection. Now two-weeks later everything is working as expected. Note: I also used Puget Sound solar 24 years ago, so I'm a returning customer. They have expertise, reputation, and a commitment to sustainability.

There are a lot of people out there installing EV chargers right now, and if you don't have it done correctly you'll be wishing you did. He offered me a matched price on the wall box charging unit that Costco is selling for $499, which is about $200 less than Amazon, and we had the installation done about a week later. Joe came in and saw that we had tripped a breaker in the outlet. Pushed a button and voila! Everything worked. While he was there, he looked at a couple other items we needed to take care of and will be sending us a quote. I am confident the quote will be fair and reasonable. Call in, give them your card info and the charger number and, nothing. But they sure charge your card the hold fee fast enough. Happened again today on First Hill. Never clear if you need a membership or not, and when you call in and give them your CC# they say you don't. Why do I have to call in when I could just tap my card? Being unable to easily charge your car is the #1 reason why people say they wouldn't buy an EV. Glad I can charge at home for a tenth of the price. Thanks 'Blank".
