What I love about her is that she is open minded to a taste or style different than her own and can still master it, I showed her my Pinterest boards and she integrated all of them and made my wedding absolutely perfect. Lana did an ammmmaaaaazzzzinnngggg job with my flowers. Flowers was one of the least important things on my wedding list so I didn't have a clear idea of exactly what I wanted in terms of arrangements or even bouquets. I met with 3-4 different florists and ultimately went with Seattle Floral Design because she not only makes pretty bouquets or centerpieces, but she makes art out them. During our initial meeting, I told her that I liked the clean and simple look of phalenopsis orchids and calla lillies - unfortunately those are also 2 of the more expensive flowers. She then sketched up a design of how we could incorporate those flowers but still be within my budget (less than 2k). I got an idea of what she was going for with her sketch and just trusted her with her vision. The end result was absolutely gorgeous! My centerpieces had some orchids, calla lillies, roses, cosmos, and scabiosa - I learned the names of the flowers from the florist =P). After deconstructing some of the arrangements after the wedding, I can see the amount of detail that went into creating each one. Lana is very talented and sweet - she even gave me a potted orchid after the wedding for our new home =). My now husband and I were running out of time with our wedding planning and needed flower arrangements for our wedding. I haven't researched enough about flower arrangements and was not sure what to expect when it came to sitting down with a florist. When we sat down with Lana, she explained what she has done, showed us examples of her work (which are absolutely amazing). All we knew was that we wanted something reasonably priced, classy, that enhanced the wedding colors and the venue. She had several ideas in mind immediately and it does help to have your florist be familiar with the venue and your wedding colors and theme!! She had several flower images all arranged by color ( I haven't seen so many colors in my life!). We went through the wedding timeline and from there she was able to breakdown how many arrangements would be needed to how they should be moved/arranged from the ceremony to the reception area. Our ceremony and reception was done in one location. I was stunned to see how beautiful the aisle looked (my first time seeing everything was during the bride and groom first look photos) and the arrangements on the two pillars at the end of the aisle - I was so happy!! My bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, the aisle arrangements and the flowers on the cake looked amazing! The sweetheart table arrangement was beautiful! The groomsmen looked so handsome with their boutonnieres. All of the flowers were kept and they lasted for so long! For me, they lasted 2 full weeks! My MIL dried some of them and kept dried leaves as potpourri. The flower arrangements are to be enjoyed post wedding for sure! Lana is kind, thoughtful, and very experienced. My wedding was more than I could have dreamed of! From my dress to the flowers, it seemed like a dream. The wedding was in a beautiful venue but all my guests were raving about... the flowers! Two months after the wedding and I am still hearing comments such as "your flower design was so unique!", "who was your amazing Florist?" "Your flowers were an inspiration to my wedding planning" "The flowers made it seems like a fairy tale story." And truly, it made a world of a difference from the other weddings. Sure enough, Lana, the owner of Seattle Floral Design works her magic in every wedding, expo show or display case of her work. Her attention to detail is incredible! Everywhere you looked, the flowers were designed in a such a creative way. My bridal bouquet was so elegant and unique. The bridesmaids loved their special bouquets as well. But my gosh! The ceremony bouquets were just incredible. Right before I walked down the aisle, I literally stopped in my tracks because I was so taken back by the beauty of the ceremony tent. The aisle was laid out in graceful swirls of white roses, the side aisle was lined in blooming orchids and gypsophila as though welcoming me and the guests in. The stage was draped in white linen with large bouquets adorning the stage. I was speechless! My reception room was just as detailed and beautiful. The sweetheart table drew all the attention as the focal point of the room with large adorning bouquets. A gorgeous chandelier hung above us, decorated in orchids! Each guest had a name card and a single orchid on their plates. My cake had real orchids cascading from the top tier to the bottom. Every floral detail was like a puzzle piece that created a one stunning scene. Might I also add, working with Lana in the prep days was simply a pleasure. I first saw her work featured at the Newcastle Wedding Expo and I told my fiancé at that time, I have to have this florist! I told him that he can choose all the other vendors but I get to choose the florist. However, when I met her, she informed me that she might not be able to take me a client due to the fact that she had a large event the day before my wedding and it would not provide her with enough time to prep. I was devastated. Yet, she still scheduled a meeting with me to see what our alternative options may be. After speaking with her, to my surprise, she worked things out accommodated the dates to make it happen! In fact she was actually excited about doing my wedding! I was extremely happy when we officially booked her for our date. Regarding the expenses, well - all good things come at a price. However, I must say, her work is worth every penny!
