The floral arrangement itself was great. Such a unique presentation, using an actual pumpkin as a vase. Genius. So the only reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars was their delivery time. I wanted them delivered to my wife at work for her birthday surprise. She was scheduled 10AM to 3PM. When they were not delivered by 2:20, I called to follow up. I was told that they would be there in 10 minutes, even if the store employee had to walk it to the location. They didn't arrive until after 3. I told my wife she could not leave until something arrived. While she did need to wait, she absolutely loved them. read more

I wanted a corsage and boutonnière for a Sadie Hawkins style event at a goth club in Seattle and decided to lean heavy into the theme. I requested the "gothiest af" corsage and boutonniere possible and they nailed it. When I called in Val let me know they usually always have black roses in stock and I mentioned liking the darker colors from their "winter chic" bouquet so we had a good starting point to reference. Went and picked them up the day of the event and they were absolutely lovely and we got many complements. When speaking their representative, I requested a text be sent of the arrangement that was going to a memorial service as I was out of town and unable to attend. She stated it would not be an issue as she was taken care of the arrangement. The day of the service I called and spoke to the same person, and she stated she forgot even though it was on my invoice to take picture and text to me. She then stated she should not have told me she would do it. Terrible customer service as she stated she would speak to the owner and get back with me, NEVER HAPPENED. I would avoid this business if you wanted professional customer service as they are surly lacking in that department. read more

Absolute gem of a florist. I ordered online the night before delivery. Not only did they create the arrangement I requested, it was even lovelier than the example online. They provided an email acknowledging my order, another email "Bloom Snap" showing me the arrangement before delivering it, and an email notifying me the delivery was complete. They also called the recipient as I requested so that she could take the delivery (leaving it outside her particular residence is not an option). Received sympathy flowers and after less than one day, 3 flowers had completely dropped all of their flowers. Before complaining publicly, the sender gave Acorn an opportunity to address the issue and they agreed to replace. We assumed it would be a similar selection of flowers. But instead of the roses, peonies, and high quality flowers from the first arrangement it was replaced with cheap filler green hydrangea and 2 roses and a few hardy dahlias. Even the vase from round 2 was a cheaper version. To top it all off, they collected the first arrangement when bringing the replacement. So tacky! At least if they hadn't I could have cobbled together one arrangement that included the few living blooms from the first with the second to make a reasonable final product. Awful experience. Buyer beware, especially if ordering for delivery or where you don't see the final product. read more

My daughter in the Bay Area sent flowers from your shop for my birthday, to be delivered after 3 p.m. when I would be home. The flowers were left outside my door at 2:39 p.m. so the phone message said. A Money Tree and a bottle of wine were to be delivered with the flowers. They weren't delivered and that part of the order was subsequently canceled. The flower arrangement was very poor. The orange roses were wilted and the other flowers were also not fresh and didn't really go with the roses. A strange variety that was not artistic, but looked more like it was left over on the table. I thanked my daughter, and didn't have the heart to tell her - since she has sent beautiful flowers in the past and is always willing to pay for quality. Beware!! DON'T BUY AN ORCHID ARRANGEMENT HERE!! I spent $200 for an orchid arrangement for a dear friend. Although the accompanying pieces were tastefully arranged, the orchids themselves were the smallest I've ever seen. I could have purchased larger ones at Trader Joes for WAY less money. I ordered the Spring Fling arrangement late last night in order to cheer up a family member. I live in Southern California and am often apprehensive about ordering on line due the deviation of the flower bouquet delivered compared to the photo advertised, and have often had to speak directly to the florist to customize arrangements prior to them being delivered. How can so much beauty be kept in such a tiny little shop? We stopped in here at Christmastime and we were so glad we did. Michelle the owner and resident florist was so sweet. This is a combination florist and gift shop. They had many great gift ideas. Mercury glass votive holders. Christmas decorations. Vases and other household items. And the flowers that Michelle had on hand for arranging were gorgeous. White star lilies, hydrangeas, lime green mums. And my all time favorite, lavender roses. It's nice to see something other than the traditional white and red Christmas arrangements. Michelle also advised us that you can bring your own vase in and she will make up an arrangement for you depending on the occasion. Wow. I read the last review and only wish I knew about Michelle to have her do my wedding flowers four years ago! Here I am with twin infants and a toddler though :) I don't ever, ever have time on my hands, but I absolutely HAD to give kudos where it was due. This review is for a bouquet. I wanted to assemble a bouquet for my best girlfriend for her birthday, and MIchelle's business was the nearest to her home. I had no idea how fortunate I would be to fall upon this business. She was clearly working on opening her storefront when i called her, yet she spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me as a consult of sorts to design this one birthday bouquet. I basically described my girlfriend's personality and style to her and she got it. I mean she GOT it! My bestie could not have been happier. I received a text within moments of her receiving the flowers - which Michelle hand-delivered since my friend lived so near her business, mind you - that this was the most breathtaking bouquet she'd ever seen. She said this bouquet embodied her, and sent me a picture of it. It was perfect, and it did embody her. I just hope I have more opportunities to work with Michelle again. This place has probably saved my marriage. I can't always be around to give my wife the flowers and gifts she deserves. I travel a lot for work, which means she has to pick up the slack with the house, kids, etc while working herself. Acorn Floral comes through to make me look like a champ to make up for all the times I can't. The flowers are consistently beautiful, and custom bouquets made for my wife's preferences.
