We had the best experience here. They were so welcoming and able to cater to our needs quickly. They were so accommodating to our daughter being there with us as well!

    Same but not :(

Walked in to the establishment while on a girls trip. My niece and I brought in the design we wanted, planned to get matching tattoos themed after an exhibit at a museum we had visited while out there. We were quoted one price for a 3 inch tattoo (took 30-40min) but when we went to pay they asked for more. We reminded them of the price they quoted us at first so they did honor it. Regarding the tattoo, I don't love it, the lines aren't straight and the artist added a background of shadow I didn't ask for, it just looks weird and not exactly like my nieces. Her's isn't great either, she had a different artist and was tattooed in a different room. It's in the downtown area so parking was a nightmare. Would I go back if visiting Seattle again- no. Would I recommend- no. Positives- staff was friendly, shop was clean.

Gotta give my girl Jazzy a shout out. We were walk ins and they were able to get us in ASAP. I let Jazz know that I wanted something Bigfoot and she definitely understood the assignment. Only took an hr and a half, and it's sick!! Thanks Jazzy!! Next time we're in Seattle, we're coming back!

Came here as a walk in while I was in town, came a little later in the night with some friends to get friendship tattoos. (All 3 of us wanted ghosts with something to represent us) and then I wanted to get another tattoo, a piece by my fave artist. Waited until it was my turn. Got tattooed by Joshua! He was awesome. Whipped up my idea really fast and efficiently. He was communicative and enthusiastic about my design even if it was simple. He made me want to come back! Very fairly priced, and the shop was clean and welcoming. All the artists there gave off good vibes. The shop even stayed open for us after closing time to make sure all the walk in appointments were completed. Joshua made me incredibly happy with the work he did and I can't wait to come back for more!!

Joshua was awesome, he took me in as a walk in for a small memento of my trip to Seattle. Super clean shop, chill vibe and professional service. Go and get poked.

The guys did good work on my wrist but definitely over priced. Cost me 400$ for a two hour job. I could have gotten a better deal in California. Wouldn't recommend. Guy named turtle was an asshole too

Seattle Tattoo Emporium has the look and feel of The classic tattoo shop...it's very clean, very professional, and the moment you walk in you can see their creativity everywhere. I'm not just talking about their tattoos, but the whole ambiance of the studio in general. The staff was amazing, friendly and willing to discuss in detail the different options for my simple but very specific request. Frank, the artist who did my walk-in request, was the best at making in out of town stranger feel at home. Yeah, I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.

Heart from the BTS love yourself album. unfortunately the tattooist went too deep in certain sections of the line

This is my first time getting tattooed so you could probably guess I was really excited and nervous. However, those feelings became replaced with annoyance and disappointment. Me and my friend decided to go as walk ins and we had paid the deposit, they told us We would wait 30-40min before getting a call but we waited 4 hours before one of us got a call. The crappy part was that not only did we wait so much more longer than they told us to, the tattooist was only able to do one us. I had to come back the next day which is pretty inconvenient considering we waited and were trying to be patient. I also was taken back by how much they were charging. OVERALL: I'm not impressed by the service, I personally won't be coming back to this place. I think the place looks pretty cool and professional but again the service just wasn't hitting right with me. 2 year update: I waited to upload this review to see how my tattoos turned out and I like my tattoos but I'm pretty disappointed. The lines are not crisp, there's a lot of areas the tattooist went too deep and it's not really clean. Not to mention the tattooist didn't listen to what I wanted for one of the tattoos so I ended up getting a tattoo that didn't match exactly what I wanted, but I was being too nice at the time and just got it. Overall, not a super super positive experience but I guess that's the kind of service you get as a walk-in. Cons: tattooist didn't really listen to the designs I wanted, wait time was not accurate or they just weren't honest about it, and pretty pricey for what you get Pros: the place looks cool, some of the tattooist look like they know what they are doing, cool art work

My tattoo is starting to rub off after 2 days (with good aftercare)... I have many tattoos on hands/feet/ankles/toes and this is the only one that has literally RUBBED off. Do not recommend this shop. $170 for this really??? Second pic is after day 4. I get that it's a toe tattoo but I have a tattoo on my other foot and on my fingers that are years old.

Spontaneous... and I wanted my tat! Seattle Tattoo Emporium was super accommodating. Within an hour of landing in SeaTac airport, I was at STE & Turtle drew out what I had envision and he made this happen. This was my graduation tat... soooo many times I could have given up but I didn't. Now I have a master's degree & this tat to remember *this* moment. Thank you!

My wife and I walked in and got a appt almost immediately, he started working on what we wanted while we went to eat. Got back and he was fast with both of our work with amazing quality. Would definitely recommend

i've gotten tattooed a few separate times over the years and each time i absolutely love what i get ! everyone who works here is nice and very respectful, they make you feel very comfortable and at home ! my most recent piece was a memorial for my dog who had passed away very recently, Kenneth did an AMAZING job it's by far my most sentimental and beloved tattoo . what also was great for me is that i talk and move around unintentionally while getting tattooed which I'm sure is so annoying for the artist but the work is always perfect! this is one of the last "real" seattle places left , a great spot to get a great tattoo !

Ask the Community - Seattle Tattoo Emporium

Can I get my nose pierced during COVID? If not where can I?

    They do not do piercings.

Do you guys do single needle tattoos? I'm looking to get a very tiny tattoo.

Hi, yes we offer single needle tattooing

    Do they do finger tattoos?

Hi Mayte, yes we do finger tattoos, but we do not guarantee the work. Many times finger tattoos heal poorly even though they are put on properly. It’s a difficult part of the body for tattoos.

    Do you do white tattoos?

    Hi Pamela, yes we do!

What's your guys minimum for a tattoo?

They have a minimum of $100

Looking to get a polynesian style tattoo, any artist in your shop do that?

Do you have anyone that is particularly good with animals- I'm looking to get a fairly detailed elephant tattoo?

Do you do cover up tattoos?

Do you do tattoos with parental consent?

No. It is illegal to tattoo any person under the age of 18 regardless of parental consent.

I want to make 3 tattoos on my body. Two are images from online, one is designed by myself but I can't draw it clearly and perfectly. My question is that what is the price range of these three tattoos if I want to put them on my body separately?

Do you do walk in tattoos if they're small?

Looking to finish a space themed sleeve, it's an integration piece meaning another artist started so I need to find an artist confident to complete it, would you have anyone in shop who loves outer space?

Why, yes, we do. Check out our artist, Rob Biren’s portfolio on our website: seattletattooemporium.com , or go to his profile on Instagram: skullhand1

Do they do precise daith acupressure piercings for migraines ON?

Can an emancipated minor within the state of Washington get a tattoo or piercing?

Sorry, we don't do piercings at the moment ☹️❤️

Hi, I'm interested in getting 2 cartilage piercings(one on the inner conch). How much would the service fee come down to excluding the earrings? Thank you.

We don't do piercings at the moment. Sorry ?❤️

During that time I've never actually written a review before, but my recent sessions with Tim Bradley (aka Mean Ole Tim) at the Wallingford location deserve one. Tim has been an absolute standout. He's not just a skilled tattooer -- he's an artist and professional in the truest sense. His ability to translate an idea into something that feels both deeply personal and beautifully cohesive is unreal. He recently completed a full torso panel of my German shepherd, Stryder, in an Irezumi-inspired style, as well as two custom hand pieces -- and every step of the process was collaborative, thoughtful, and executed with precision. What I appreciate most is Tim's mix of humility, humor, and quiet confidence. He listens, gives honest feedback, and works with a level of care that shows in every line and aspect of the piece. The end result isn't just cool ink -- it's art that carries weight, intention, and soul. After nearly a decade with STTN, I can say this has been one of my best experiences yet. If you're looking for someone who genuinely gives a damn about both the craft and the client, Tim's your guy.

It was so amazing and I was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very nice way, my needs were heard and respected, and, oh my, what a selection of different jewelry they have to pick from, very impressive! Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. Oh, and they made sure I knew what the end cost would be even before the actual piercing so there are no surprises at checkout.

I am beyond furious with the way Pierced Hearts handled my sister's navel piercing. From the start,…read morethis experience has been a disaster due to sheer negligence and a complete lack of accountability. My sister clearly explained to the piercer, Jaime, that she has a very flat belly button and specifically asked if the standard navel jewelry would be appropriate. He confidently said yes -- and we trusted his professional judgment. That trust was completely misplaced. As time passed, the jewelry began to embed itself into her skin, which should never have happened with the right jewelry in the first place. We returned to the shop, and Adam helped change it to a floating navel piercing -- the type she should have received from day one. He apologized and even took a photo of the damage because it was obvious something had gone terribly wrong. But the damage had already been done. Within a week, she developed a severe infection -- one that urgent care later confirmed was likely due to the original jewelry creating a gaping wound that never healed properly. Despite following aftercare instructions to the letter, she ended up on two antibiotics and hydrocodone just to manage the pain. Yet when we returned to the shop a third time to request a refund and share what she was going through, the staff were incredibly dismissive and refused to take any responsibility. They immediately shifted blame, accusing her of neglecting aftercare, even though we were meticulous. No effort was made to offer a solution, express genuine concern, or show even the slightest empathy. Just said "well, do you want to get it pierced again?!" ... no! Her belly button area now is completely bruised and mangled because of this place. We will never be coming back here again. To make matters worse, the owner was outright disrespectful and condescending over the phone. When we told him that medical professionals advised removing the piercing and draining the infection, her arrogant response was, "Why would they do that?!" as if she knew better than actual doctors. That tone alone spoke volumes about how little they care once they have your money. We asked for a refund because of all the trouble we've been through after the negligence of the first piercer, now having to pay for urgent care visits and medication. I chose this shop based on their glowing reviews, but let me be clear: if you're considering any body piercing here, don't. They might be decent with ear piercings or tattoos -- but when it comes to body piercings, especially anything more complex, they are careless, unprofessional, and utterly unwilling to take accountability when something goes wrong. My sister went in for a simple piercing and walked away in physical pain and emotional distress, and not once did they offer real help, only excuses. This shop failed her. Completely.

Today I completed the exact same design for $180 w tips, and the session was completed within an hour. Bunky oyster is no artist, she is a scammer, shame on you for hiring such employee with low work ethic and so much greed. Please be careful, don't make the mistake I made with her
