They do require your credit card details in case you miss your appointment. When I arrived, I scanned a QR code at the door to check in, and an employee welcomed me in. She was friendly and helpful in explaining what to expect for my appointment. You select the jewelry in the display cases, and the prices can add up rapidly - depending on the type of jewelry you get. I got the most standard titanium ball x2 and they charge separately for the backing for each piece. I appreciate that they show you the receipt ahead of time for full transparency, but it was still a bit of sticker shock. In total, my two lobe piercings + lowest-cost jewelry pieces & components added to about $150. Sanitation wise, they are completely solid. They showed me a small strip they used to ensure equipment is properly sanitized. You are also required to scan a QR code to sign a digital waiver form, and once that's completed, Colin greeted me for the appt. I came here to get a checkup for a 1+ year old lobe piercing which was stubbornly not healing in one ear (I got the piercing at a different studio). There was a short wait when I got there, but the woman at the reception explained to me up front that I may have to wait 15-20 minutes (a larger party was getting pierced together right before me), and showed me to a pretty comfortable waiting area with couches and free wifi to hang out while I waited. They also provide the quote for the service up front, which I appreciate! Once the party before me was finished, Lynn (the piercer I booked with) came out to the waiting area and called me in. She was able to diagnose the problem very quickly -- a suspected issue with the material in my original piercing post -- and switched it out for a much higher quality post. The whole process took maybe 5 minutes at most. Lynn was really nice, efficient, and knowledgeable, and let me know to reach out to her on IG if I had any more issues and to come back to check on it in 1-2 months. Great service all around! I came in for a piercing and the process from booking to getting my piercing was super smooth. I booked with Colin and have no regrets! You have to check in to your appointment through a QR code on the front door before they let you in to browse the jewelry selection (don't look like a dummy like me in trying to pull the doors before seeing the code). Someone will let you in and explain the jewelry selection that they have. From what I know, the prices for titanium ear piercings (I chose this) were fairly standard compared to other places. Once I chose my jewelry, I filled out an online form and waited for my piercer. Once Colin took me back to the piercing room (very clean room), he walked me through the process and explained in depth what to do and not do with a new piercing. I was able to ask him some questions about my existing cartilage piercing and I'm so grateful that I got some advice on it! I got my earlobes pierced here and it was super easy and painless! The selection of piercings they have is pretty big and there's a wide range of prices. Everyone is really nice and my piercer (Colin) was helpful and explained the entire process to me and what to expect. I was pretty nervous going in since I've never gotten any piercings before but it was really quick and painless. They also take a lot of safety precautions like sanitizing all jewelry and covid precautions like using a mask and hand sanitizer. Please read this before you get pierced elsewhere: Lynn is the septum whisperer, and we are lucky enough to have them grace us with their piercing prowess in the Seattle area. After not 1, not 2, but THREE failed and crooked piercings on my slightly deviated septum at another piercing place, I reached out to Lynn. Had a consult, followed by healing time with jewelry out, followed by repiercing. I'm still healing but the quality of the piercing is not even comparable to before. It's so much better that it is on an entirely different plane of existence. The jewelry sits much nicer, it's not crooked, it just looks aesthetic. Only reason why it's four stars is because I paid $500 for 3 piercings (two titanium for my ear lobes at around $75 each and a sliver rainbow moonstone for my nose at $140) there is a large fee to get the actually piercings done, though as someone who makes commission myself I understand that but it just seems a bit high. I'm rating this place a 2 because the place is rather expensive, and the experience is like buying a car. They want to walk you around their display case full of jewelry and try to sell you something more than the basic jewelry needed for a new piercing. Also, their Post-Pandemic COVID policies still being in place is quite ridiculous at this point. Anyway, I'm writing this review today because I'm slightly bothered by the lack of customer service. I have been pierced by both Colin and Lynn multiple times at Laughing Buddha and would heartily recommend either/both piercers. Both are exceptional at what they do, and will guide you through exactly what they are doing so there are no surprises. I had a few piercings done on my right ear with Colin, and recently started on my left ear with Lynn. I custom ordered some jewelry with Laughing Buddha last year (and it was a very pleasant experience working with the staff) to kickstart this project. I was super excited to work with Lynn to have the jewelry installed (including a tricky double-post Fei Long from BVLA) and they were very thorough in explaining what they were doing as they carefully pierced/installed the piece. Lynn also offered plenty of recommendations and advice on furthering the ear project with my anatomy's limitations in mind, and I can barely wait to keep working on this ear with them! What a professional and clean shop! The scheduling portal is easy and straight forward. I was able to schedule my double helix piercing for the next day. Very impulsive but very happy. They have a lot of guest piercers in addition to Lil' John and Collin s be sure to check them out, as well. Violet did mine and she was just lovely. A few weeks ago I went in to make sure I am healing on time and that appointment was with Lil' John. He assured me I was right where I should be and sent me on my way.
