Don't go here if you need immediate help! My rib was out of place and Dr. Santos didn't help me in the slightest, only made me feel foolish. She was very kind, but I went to Dr. Santos with very specific back pain looking for answers & I received no help. It was my first time there so most of the appointment was intake, but I made it very clear that I was in a lot of pain, it wasn't something normal and I was looking for immediate answers and relief. I was dealing with very bad pain in my middle back that I now know (thanks to a different chiropractor) was a rib out of place. I tried my best to explain to her the specific pain I was in to no avail, she only focused on my neck. I understand that her approach to chiropractic care is holistic- but I was dealing with very intense pain! I felt utterly ignored and duped. By the end of the session, I came to understand that she wasn't gonna do any adjustments at all until our next appointment so I asked her what I could do to mitigate my back pain until that next time. She told me to take a bath and to stretch.... she, a doctor, truly said that. I told her that it hurt to walk, sit, twist, lift things and sneeze and she said 'don't do those things.' I left the office so incredibly upset, utterly ignored, in the same amount of pain with no answers as to what the pain was, and out $200. All that being said, I will not be returning. I ended up going to Atlas Chiropractic the next day and within minutes the Doctor told me I had a messed up rib and was able to get started moving it back. My visit to Health First was an utter waste of time and money. read more

Dr Santos is a caring and qualified Chiropractor. She has worked on myself, my son, my husband, etc. i see her about every 6 months to make sure I'm staying aligned and if I get an extra hard hit in soccer sometimes I'll need a couple of appointments but she straightens me out. read more

First of all I will only for to a doctor of Chiropractic that does the Blair Upper Cervical Technique. Second, get the Xray! Dr. Lenarz has the latest and greatest technology at his fingertips and his Xray machine is incredible. I was going to a chiropractor for many years who was adjusting me incorrectly. So much that my body just went in that direction. Dr. Lenarz did the Xray saw immediately what was wrong and fixed me. It was he'll for the first month, I was in a lot of pain. But once he corrected all that was wrong, I felt a million times better. I am so thankful. read more

We met Dr. Bebe at the 12th Avenue Festival and received a certificiate for a free consultation. Both my husband and I went in and started the process. Despite the fact that she said we had fantastic insurance, it was very expensive. Just for my treatment alone it was going to cost over $2200 upfront and Dr. Bebe did want to take no for an answer. She postponed my first treatment until my insurance started so that it was covered, but at the end of that first treatment they informed me that my insurance did not cover what I received and it would be nearly $300. Luckily for me I had a health savings account or I would have been screwed! I feel like they are not very upfront with the costs. She continued to talk about how affordable it was... I guess if you're a doctor and can pay $2200 for 6 months of treatments, then it's affordable, but for those of use with college debt, $400/month for only potential improvement seems a bit steep. When she did the x-rays she kept pushing my chin down which I thought to myself, "this isn't very natural position, won't my neck look really straight?" and then sure enough, my x-rays showed an extremely straight neck which means a very aggresive treatment plan. Dr. Bebe said it's a 2.5 year process to fix that. Definitely interested in a second/third opinion -- especially since I'm NOT in ANY pain! I had one treatment and it was ok, but I did not like the fact that it was all open concept. There was no sense of privacy or ability to be open with the Dr as not only were all the doors open, patients just seen and the next patients were all sitting there. While Dr. Bebe was very nice and talked a lot about a holistic plan which is a definite plus, I will definitely be looking elsewhere. read more

I've been going to chiropractic clinics on and off for years. I hyper-extended my back 15+ years ago surfing big waves in San Diego. All my life my back has flared up and I'd be down for two days unable to move. It ended my surfing career twice. I use to play volleyball in college and haven't been able to play in a decade because of fear of freezing my back up. Things like deadlifts and chest presses would routinely make me pinch nerves behind my shoulder blade. Every chiropractor has always over promised and under delivered. They look at my x-rays and say "Woah, that's not good. You'll have to see me 3 times a week for months to fix that." Yeah... none of them really helped. I saw temporary results during flare ups, but that's about it. No long term healing. I went to see Dr. Beebe. She was not only extremely friendly, but had the professional demeanor of a doctor who had been practicing for years. She was very methodical and thorough when examining me and discussing my problems. She took a very holistic approach in her explination and recommendations. She detailed how her type of chiropractic adjustment was a different approach to what I had done in the past and what I could expect. She didn't pretend to that chiropractic would be the end all be all to my problems. She went into how with a multi-fauceted approach with core work, stretching, proper nutrition, and her chiropractic work my back problems could become managable for the rest of my life. It was my body that ultimately needed to do the healing. Her work would be the catalyst that set that healing in motion. In the six weeks I've been seeing her, I have been able to sleep much better. After volleyball tournaments, I don't feel like I am 80 years old. I haven't pinched a nerve in my shoulder while working out. All in all... I'm extremely satisfied with the work she's done and have already recommended her to several friends. Her practice is comfortable and they have options for accupuncture there as well. I always feel welcome and can't wait to sit on the traction (aka massage) table after my adjustment. It's amazing! read more

Dr. Beebe is amazing. In one adjustment my pain went away! I mean 10 years worth of pain and suffering just went away and I could breathe. What I like about this chiropractor is the fact that I am a science person and I like evidence. She took x-rays and explained the program to me. This therapy focuses on health and not constant chiropractor visits. I am happy that I got to see where the problem was first and then she made my life complete. I didn't know that I could actually take a breath or sleep a full night anymore but with a swift movement, I can. And, the best part - I am 2 days in. 2 days without pain and feeling free. :) Her approach is more open than others but if you want results and you want to get better. Like the other reviewer noted, Dr. Beebe is great. Very holistic and truly cares deeply about her clients and profession. I do not however like how this clinic is run. It feels like a high-pressure car sales place. I know that this is a small business and they want/need people to return but there is way too much pressure to set up return appointments here, and their marketing materials are strange. I will be looking elsewhere even though I like Dr. Beebe - because coming here gives me a bad feeling. I went for an initial chiro exam and massage that I found in Groupon. I really went for the massage but am so glad the exam was included! Dr Lenarzo was very thorough in explaining what he was doing and gave me a full report and referral for a doctor when he found out I was moving. The office was very professional. My massage was great, and if I wasn't moving I would definitely go back for adjustments and chiropractic treatment. read more

I totally agree with the high pressure atmosphere. I was asked to pay over $2000 up front for services and Dr. Beebe would not take no for an answer. It was a very frustrating and as mentioned before I also did not have a good feeling coming to my appointments, rather it was in and out, make sure you've paid, then leave all the while sitting in a room with 3-4 other people. It also didn't help that all my appointments started late from 10 up to 30 minutes late. If I am being asked to pay an amount for services, especially such a high amount, I would hope a professional business would respect my schedule and start my appointments at the agreed upon time. As someone who had over 4 years of chiropractic care prior to moving to Seattle, I was excited to meet Dr. Beebe in her office for a consultation. I brought in the promotional offer that I received from one of the local races (where I met her), and went through x-rays, general chat, and questions. Dr. Beebe seemed nice, fairly personable, but well rehearsed and sometimes rushed in her approach to appealing to me for care in the future. I felt more like cattle at a car lot rather than a patient setting up an expensive care plan for my specific needs. I left with all of the paperwork I needed to make a decision. In the end I decided not to take them up on a rather large sum of money upfront for an extended care plan, as I did not like several things about the office, Dr. Beebe, and the practice of a large proposal prior to any proper care. On top of that, I had a very exhaustive schedule and the location didn't work for me. I emailed Dr. Beebe thanking her for her time and that it did not fit in my schedule and in return I was rewarded with a $445.00 invoice for: - $390 in x-rays - $55 Manipulation (5 min) I wanted them to file through my insurance, long story short, it took almost a YEAR to get it straightened out (not really their fault I was told, I believe it but it adds to my frustrations). In the end, I moved away from Seattle but settled my account, mentioned these things to the person and hope they figure it all out for future patients. Spinal manipulation is a very personal, intimate experience and I think they can learn from that. read more

Dr. Lenarz and his team are like miracle workers! I have a neurological condition, and could barely walk when I first came into the office. I have leasions in both my neck and brain, so I was nerverous about chiropractic care. They answered all my questions and explained things well. With regular treatment I am now able to walk, stand longer, and I was even able to dance again after two years of not being able to! Yay! I came to see Dr. Lenarz at Health First Chiropractic in late January, 2016, at the Capitol Hill location. I had recently undergone extensive physical therapy, nerve conduction studies, and seen a number of specialists in an effort to determine the cause of pain and numbness in my right fingers, hand, and wrist. I had my doubts about chiropractic care, having never seen a chiropractor before and not knowing much about the science behind chiropractic. However, after nearly a dozen doctors, physical therapists, and specialists couldn't determine the cause of my symptoms, and with much prompting from my fiancé, I decided to see a chiropractor. Dr. Lenarz is extremely professional, kind, and courteous. On my first visit, he took multiple x-rays of my spine and spent lots of time explaining subluxation and how chiropractic care could alleviate my symptoms. After my first adjustment, the results were almost immediate--feeling returned to my fingers, and after seeing him for several months, I am nearly symptom-free. The front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating for me, especially Linnea. Health First Chiropractic accepts my insurance, and even after I'd used all of my insured visits, the per-visit price is reasonable and they even do advance-payment discounts. I like that they always have good quality tea available while I wait to see Dr. Lenarz, and the relaxation room is very relaxing. Dr. Beebe and Kristin at Health First Chiropractic are fantastic! I have received consistently great care since starting there about 5 months ago. I came to Dr. Beebe for chronic (daily) headaches and neck pain, and I've now been essentially headache and pain free for over a month and a half. My insurance did not cover anything, but Kristin and Dr. B worked with me to work out a reduced frequency plan that still got me the necessary care but that did not make me broke. Besides being flexible and honest up front, I appreciate Dr. Beebe's recommendations to focus on overall health and well-being, not just fixing one part of the body. It IS all connected. When I first started at Health First, I was under the care ofDr. Swinford, who was the first to identify and treat a 15-year neck injury. After months of his care, I began to hold adjustments for increasingly longer periods of time and my neck, back, and hips started to feel better.
