While they did offer for me to see someone else or go on a wait list why would I want to even look to be with someone else after you cancel before you're even able to be seen. Extremely frustrating. Patiently waited months for my appointment to happen *(saying this was the first available appointment) to then only be canceled on. Extremely disheartening, frustrating, and unprofessional. As someone who has waited years to try to seek medical help, finally have a glimpse of hope, be patient, to be canceled on before even being seen is beyond. I wouldn't even bother if this is how they treat you before you even arrive. If you book an appointment it's apparently not even a guarantee. You can tell they focus on collaboration in their functional medicine and take the time to talk to the other providers at the clinic you are seeing. I will start off by saying that the care I received here (PT and Chiropractic) is absolutely 5 star service. Nick, Carrie, Aiko, and Jason are amazing. Nick and Carrie are both great at putting me back in alignment and working out the muscles that needed some extra help after my car accident. Aiko and Jason both kicked my butt (in a good way) when I had to add in PT for my accident. I am giving 0 stars for the back office staff (the girls at the front desk are great). I have numerous issues with how my billing has been handled ever since Vida took over and Kevin Rindal left. The issues I've faced so far: bills were months delayed, billing the wrong insurance, not billing my PIP, confused phone calls about my bills from the office manager (which ended in her realizing she needed to call my insurance and shouldn't have even called me in the first place), and not even billing insurance but billing me directly. The latest is just poor customer service: I left a voicemail Friday afternoon 2/7 and I still have not received a call back about my incorrect bill and it is now 2/17, over 6 full business days after I left my initial message. Sadly, these are the reasons I will not be returning to Vida again even though I loved the care I received. read more

If you are in search of an amazingly talented acupuncturist, search no further! I have been seeing Kristen Williams, EAMP, LAc, weekly for the past three weeks to address the anxiety that I carry in my body. My three main areas are lungs/chest, jaw, and eye (twitching). Kristen is magic! My jaw tightness has been very challenging to treat in the past and I swear that the day and weeks after my jaw treatment (acupuncture and Gua sha) it felt like my I had a new mouth. I had no tension and my jaw felt loose (in the best way)! She's honestly jaw-droppingly good (pun intended!), and is a natural at quickly developing rapport and gaining trust with her clients. I started working with Dr. Leary-Chang earlier this year (starting in the clinic on Madison and then now in the remodeled Ravenna location). She is the first functional medicine doctor that I have seen and my experience so far have been very, very positive. While I've been interested in trying functional medicine for a while, it could seem a bit complicated in some ways and there are many directions and things one could try for various reasons. Thankfully, Dr. Leary-Chang is an exceptional communicator. She takes the time that is needed to clearly explain things, as well as being a careful (and empathetic) listener (I feel that she has a very clear understanding of my health situation and ANY key factors that could be playing a role). So, she talked with me to develop some priorities and sketch some realistic cost/benefit analyses for each plan of action. In other words, I felt informed but never pressured in the slightest to pursue any plan (for example, if I might be unsure about something, or something may not be financially comfortable/feasible at the time). Again, those types of factors are things she has taken into account when working with me. I wanted to wait until I had a few months on a stable regiment (and to have more time working with her and the clinic) before reviewing, and thankfully, everything has been positive so far. I have noticed clear positive changes in my health (visible and objective - i.e., not just that I 'feel' better, which I do, but I wanted some 'data' (as much as a single patient could note)) and I am looking forward to further progress. (I will update this review in a few months if anything changes that could be relevant.) I have used the services at Vida for several years when needed. They are the only chiropractor I have found able to assist with my neck, as well as other body mechanic issues. I have received ART for issues with shoulder, neck, knees and hips, a few visits here and I'm whole again each time something goes awry. Dr. Curt is the best! I was having such bad back pain last year that I was dreading going to work and was worried I would have to cut down my hours. He has helped me so much in the past year and a half! Dr. Kevin Rindal is a true professional who understands the biomechanics of my particular sport (baseball) more than any other medical professional I've dealt with. I'm suffering from lower back pain due to herniated disks at L4-L5, and I sought out ART/Graston to supplement my at-home rehab and decompression table regimen. Dr. Rindal's ART and Graston/ASTYM treatments (along with chiropractic adjustments) have worked wonders when other treatments have stalled for 2+ months. I was seeing a good physical therapist, that I like quite a bit, for a shoulder problem but was only getting worse. Even she was expressing discouragement! And I was being parked out in a big room getting worked on and doing exercises in compromising positions in front of strangers, yuck. I researched online and decided to go to InHealth. After ONE visit (in a private room) to Dr Kevin I was almost 50% better! I am not kidding. I have seen both Drs Kevin and Curt, over the past few months and I have my life back. I recently started seeing Dr RIndall for a multitude of ailments. I have tendonitis in my wrists from RSI, I recently was rear ended and have had a series of back problems as a result. As a chiropractor, he spends a good amount of time with me and is selective with how he adjusts me. This is great after my last chiropractor who cracked my back every which way he could. Dr Rindall is a lot more focused and caring with his approach. He also uses active release technique and gives me stretches to work on. Laser and a handheld massager are in his toolkit. The office staff are all great and very friendly. Parking in their private underground lot is a breeze. Darlene, the massage therapist is amazing - she does energy work and has a very calming presence. She is the best massage therapist I have ever seen. Gabrielle the acupuncurist is also great. I was skeptical about this form of treatment and am waiting for a few more rounds before I make a conclusion on how helpful it is but her approach, style and technique are very professional. Ditto to all the other reviewers; I had a R shoulder problem when I started with them. I went twice a week for several weeks, then once a week and finally every-other week. During the 3 months they have seen me, I developed L neck and then R knee pain. They have shown me how they all connect indirectly and taught me how to "fix" myself. Their goal is self care and lifestyle adjustments, no keeping you there forever. Insurance covered most of my appts which was nice. They are the best of PT and Chiropractor. And even though I am now ready to graduate I will go back on my own $ if I notice any new problem areas before they get bad enough to need weeks of treatment. read more

At the end of last year, I hurt my lower back really, really badly. I initially went to another chiropractor who did a great job getting me out of pain, but he wasn't helping me heal completely and move on. In addition, the massages there sucked. 2014: I have new insurance, and therefore had to find a new chiropractor. I feel as though this was serendipitous. Dr. Curt is absolutely wonderful. He uses a ton of active release techniques, which I've never experienced before and can be kiiiiiiiiiinda painful, but I always feel better afterwards and I can see an improvement in my flexibility in my back. He's also given me a ton of exercises and stretches to work on and those are really helping, too. I wish he did just a little more chiropractic adjustment, but what I do get is awesome. Today, I went and got my first massage with Shannon. She. Was. AMAZING. Her treatment was certainly not your typical "close your eyes and fall asleep during the massage" treatment, but it was exactly what I wanted and needed! She found trigger points that I didn't know I had, and got them released. She did myofascial release techniques all along my back and shoulders and legs. I literally felt my skin slipping around on top of my muscles when I left!! It was truly phenomenal. I have the feeling that with the amazing people at InHealth, it's only a short matter of time before I'm totally recovered and stronger and healthier overall!! read more

Sometimes you just get really lucky. I was looking for a doctor for myself and my 3 teen/young adult kids and found exactly what I was looking for here! Never did I assume I could find -not only a physician, but an entire clinic where the needs of all of us could be met and exceeded. Functional/preventative medicine is the indisputable way to go- and when you find the right place, it's life changing! From the warm and courteous staff, to Dr Leary Chang and other practitioners on site, our collective experiences have been amazing. For myself, I wanted someone to not only deal with some underlying inflammation issues, but also for prevention and health optimization. I care about not only disease prevention, but also anti-aging and beauty. I wanted someone who would scrutinize my bloodwork for anywhere I could possibly improve - as well as address some food intolerances as a relates to joint pain. All of the above has been achieved - my bloodwork showed a few areas that could be tweaked with simple supplementation... As well as a more concerning issue that I had no idea existed. In the end, my joint pain has been 100% alleviated and I'm confident the plan Dr Leary Chang has in place to correct the other issue. Her bedside manner is impeccable - professional yet extremely comforting and affable. She explained so many things to me in a patient, in-depth and non-condescending way. I never felt rushed or dismissed. I learned so much and walked away feeling very empowered! As for my three kids... That's where I'm blown away. Scheduling teens and young adults can be a nightmare and the staff has been wonderful accommodating us. Two of my college aged kids had issues probably related to being away from home, poor nutrition, partying, etc. I'm not one to wait until small health complaints become a health crisis. My 22yr old son had sinus problems as well as GI- All of which have been alleviated as a result of his visits. His 19-year-old sister is also on track for better health heading back to school. I feel very proud and secure knowing I've put my adult kids on this health optimization and prevention path! Both reported feeling extremely comfortable with the staff and Dr. Larry Chang, which is not an easy thing to do spanning all ages, in my opinion. As for my 16-year-old high school son, this is where I'm truly grateful and impressed... As he was overhearing all of the talk about our wonderful experiences with this clinic, he asked why he didn't have an appointment scheduled... I thought, why not? As a serious high school athlete, he takes wonderful care of his health and I want to promote this mindset. At his well check visit, he was expressing concerns regarding some orthopedic issues in his wrist, and feet. at first I assumed these were problems irrelevant to his simple wellness visit. We've been to multiple doctors for these Orthopaedic issues. He's essentially been sidelined with the diagnosis of "tendinitis"... Although with rest nothing has gotten better. I had no idea they have multiple practitioners on site when Dr Leary Chang casually introduced chiropractor Nicholas Petrini to my son. He did a quick exam and suggested an appointment. Willing to try anything, we saw him the following week. Instead of just sitting across the table and listening to my son and giving him a lazy diagnosis of tendinitis, Mr. Petrini did much more- he proceeded to spend approximately an hour, doing hands-on manipulation, facia release and careful analyzation to try to figure out not only my sons 'mystery'wrist problem, but also his feet issues. That evening my sons wrist pain he's had for two months was gone! He was able to do push-ups pain free. His plantar fasciitis is now being addressed with not just orthotics, but also a protocol for his unique anatomy. Let's just say that neither of us had any idea, when we made that initial appointment to see Dr. Larry Chang, that his orthopedic issues would also be helped. William has been raving to his friends and teammates about his experience. It's so impressive to hear high school boys discussing health and wellness. This should be the wave of the future and my sincere desire for this to become the norm! All and all, this has been the most life-changing choice I've made in a very long time.
