I had a WONDERFUL experience with Oleksandr and his team at Kovch Construction!…read more There were over a dozen huge holes in my walls after doing a full plumbing repipe in my new house, so everything needed drywall patches, mud, paint, and texture. There were also holes through the backs of the cabinets under every sink. I collected a LOT of estimates. Most people wanted over twice what Oleksandr quoted - and didn't have the glowing positive reviews he has, especially noting the quality and cleanliness of his work. Spoiler warning: the other reviews were right! Oleksandr and his team were so polite and professional (including punctual and communicative!). Whenever I asked a question or pointed out something important to me (like carefully covering the brand-new mini-split to protect it from drywall dust, or making sure my gecko's heater was safe near the plastic sheeting), they listened carefully and made sure I was satisfied with the answer. That's a big deal for someone with schema about "not bothering people". There were a LOT of little touches that proved they cared and respected my property. I felt comfortable and secure leaving my house for three days while they worked. The other companies I asked told me they "couldn't repair" the sink cabinet holes, despite the fact that I kept the removed pieces which had pretty clean edges. One guy insisted he would only repair them with plywood, but most said I would just have to live with the holes. Oleksandr set my expectations that he could reinstall the pieces, but they might not look perfect. That was fine by me! And yet, they actually ended up FAR better than expected. They fixed the drywall, replaced the cabinet pieces, and sealed the edges - sure you can see the cabinet repairs if you look for them, but in ambient lighting, the under-sink patches are pretty well unnoticeable. The quality of the finished wall work totally blew me away. You would never have known there were holes everywhere. I absolutely marveled when they were done - walking around my house with my mouth agape, like I'd never been in a house before. I'm not exaggerating - I'm so, so pleased. They even smoothed out the ugly screw pops in my stairway! These pros left my place EXTREMELY clean considering how horribly messy drywall dust is. What little I found after they left couldn't even count as being "dusty" (and not a SPECK was on the mini-split). And they remembered to put the carpet protectors back on my sofa feet when they moved it back into place, and very kindly checked the exact placement of my home theater speakers (of utmost concern to me). This kind of project is super stressful for anyone, and especially for a first-time homeowner. It's rare and difficult to find businesses you can trust in this world. I'm so grateful to Oleksandr and his team for making this process so easy on me, and with fantastic results - it couldn't have gone any better even if I'd paid twice as much. I'll definitely call Kovch Construction next time I need anything they do, and I'll gladly recommend them to everyone who mentions a similar project to me!

They arrived every day at 9am sharp, as they said they would and completed in 3 days (also as promised), and it looks perfect! Looks like they installed it over brand new framing. If you want more detail, read on. I scheduled an appointment with this company three weeks before the install date. I provided in detail what I wanted for my home and my yard. I even texted and emailed pictures from the previous year. I informed it was a "straightforward job" and received a quote, via text. In the text, I was informed the yard lights would have to be assessed on the day of the install but would be anywhere from $75-$150 extra. Roger calls on the afternoon of the day of the install and tells me he needs to push it back to the next day due to being busy. Calling the afternoon of the day of the installation to cancel was unprofessional, yet I agreed to reschedule. The following day Roger calls after he has arrived at my home. He provided no notice he was on his way. I was not home but turned around and arrived home in less than ten minutes. Roger tells me he did not have any information on what the job was supposed to look like and never saw any pictures. This is silly as I texted it to the same phone number he had been calling and texting me from previously. I also emailed the pictures. If he didn't know what the job was supposed to look like it made no sense why his crew had already begun installing lights on my house, which I immediately informed him were the wrong color. I provided Roger with the SAME pictures I had already texted and emailed him. He stated he didn't have the multicolored lights I requested for a tree on the side of my home. Roger said, "I don't know, I could just wrap it in white lights or something." For this one skinny Juniper tree, which was approximately 12 feet high, he attempted to charge me $150 for ONE tree...with the WRONG lights. I was informed verbally and by text message (from his number) the lights in the yard would be $75-$150 total. Roger attempted to hustle me because his crew had already started the job. I instructed him to remove the lights and leave. In summary, Roger canceled on the afternoon of the install, arrived on the rescheduled date with no notice, started the job allegedly with no information and the wrong equipment, then tried to hustle me for more money on the spot. He didn't even take accountability for anything and tried to put it all on his employee, Angel. Don't bother with this guy.
