The plane is named after the founder's mother "Betty". It's also a nod to how the company "air roasts" their coffee. When you walk in the vibe feels industrial, aviation-themed, and cozy. I ordered a caramel latte and asked for it to be served in a ceramic. The coffee was excellent as always and this is my go to coffee shop in Kansas City. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in for a cup of coffee. Also, there are certain days where you can tour the factory if you are interested in that as well.

Some books and games are also available to occupy kids if you plan to linger. Which this is a lingering kinda spot. I ordered the honeybee latte with oat milk - it was so creamy and just enough sweetness. I think it's my new fave. Be patient- it took a little longer than expected to get my drinks. They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. I was pleasant surprised by the size and amount of available seating. There was a short line to order coffee at the bar, but it moved quickly. They have all standard coffee drinks with a few flavor options and a seasonal menu. They also offered various pastries, but nothing savory that I saw. When we pulled up I saw that it is the same place as Garden House and I believe this may be the section below inside the Garden House coffee shop.
