My wife and I were visiting from New York for a conference in Kansas City and were looking for a good cup of coffee--not one of the big chains. After searching for highly rated coffee spots, Crow's Coffee came up, so we decided to stop in. We ordered a plain black coffee with no sugar, and it was excellent. It wasn't bitter or burnt-tasting like some other brands. The coffee was flavorful, hot, and just right. The space has a cool industrial-style design, and there were plenty of people relaxing and enjoying their drinks. The music was also at the perfect volume--present but not overpowering. My husband and I checked out this location since we were in the area. The barista were very nice and the space is larger so we easily found seating. They have a variety of tables and chairs. Two high tops in the corner. And they also have a large table for a large group towards the back. They also have a somewhat mid range, high top against the windows and seating on the outside in the front of the store. I ordered a specialty syrup that had coconut in it. I really like coconut, but this drink had it overwhelming sense of coconut. So my husband asked if they could pour out about half of my drink and just add some more oat milk to see if that would tone down the coconut. Unfortunately, it did not so I just threw it out and ordered a London fog which was fine. My husband had a white mocha and it was good. Typically their coffee is fine, that was just that particular syrup that I did not care for. The ambience was casual and calm and good for reading. They had kind of a funky rap playlist going on, but it was kept at a tone that was fine to read with. Some coffee shops have their music overly loud and they did not, which is good since most people were on their laptops or reading. This is a perfect place to come get work done or study! They have some unique drinks and even some decent breakfest foods. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito which wasn't my favorite but definitely filled me up. The sauce it came with was really good and spicy which helped save it. The seating outside was my favorite, they have a ton of seats with a nice view. The two baristas were very friendly. My dad and sister both come here more often and enjoy it a lot. What can you ask when you're around the Neighbourhood which you have no idea about and happen to find a cozy little coffee spot which serves you organic locally procured coffee beans and does not have a long menu but whatever they do they do it their best. This place is nothing less than a decent coffee house with a great coffee in it. The moment you enter the smell of coffee makes you act active. The people were super friendly, great set of team who is making very creative coffee is there, but we just took iced mocha and cappuccino. Coffee came with no time we had a comfortable seating enjoyed our coffee. We saw a bunch of people come there with their kids and a group of friends who came and we're playing card games over there. It felt like a very nice and cozy place to bring a bunch of friends and have fun if you're around this area please to check out this place. read more

During the summer/spring or whenever the weather is nice, they open up their big windows and allow fresh air to come in! I haven't been to Crows in maybe 8 months or so, and it had been even longer since I tried one of their mochas, but I am so glad that I did. The mocha was made with expert fine taste. It had a nice balance between the espresso and the chocolate sauce/syrup. I also had a nice lemon poppy seed muffin and it tasted fresh, not dry--even after they slightly warmed it up. Their baked good case is usually empty by 2pm, or so I've noticed. The guys at the counter were nice, and not superficially friendly. The ambiance in the place is still the same, it has that art school classroom vibe, and a bit nostalgic to boot with 60s music, so you kinda have to be in that groovy mood in order to tolerate the music because it seems to be their thing, or at least it seems that way the last few times I've been here . read more

This place is very cute! The indoor seating feels homey and great and there is nice outdoor seating too. However, the wifi does not work well outdoors so if you are here to use a computer/electronic devices indoors may be best. I'm not super well-versed in the area, but I know one thing for damn sure: This area utterly needs a great local coffee shop like Crow's around here! This Crows looks a lot like the others I'm more familiar with (South Plaza/Waldo), and I like that. There's comfort in familiarity and consistency. Coincidentally, those two elements also apply to thoughts on Crow's overall. It's a classic local coffee shop that I've come to know well, and it doesn't miss. It's always been good in the several dozen (maybe 100+) trips I've made over the many years. For this one, here's what you need to know during Covid times. You can order online (https://crowscoffee.square.site/) and pick up at the register. Of course you can also just pop in and order as you would in normal times too. They require masks, have sanitizer available, social distancing, and limited indoor capacity. This location also boasts a nice patio. I have always enjoyed their black coffee quite a bit, it's flavorful and brewed correctly. To me it falls into more of a utilitarian category for me than say, a super fancy, taste-every-note pour over from some others. Ownership here is great as well, with long running baristas (a great sign), and he seems to know everyone as they walk in the door. They've been involved in the community and I enjoy picking up their free coffees at local charity races (in normal times.. can't wait to stop having to add that caveat). Do yourself a favor and check them out, and a I'm serious here: If you're in a routine of going to a chain, drive-thru coffee shop, just swap it out ONE TIME to go to a local spot like this and see the difference. These spots help define neighborhoods and bring people together, and one trip here will have you noticing that impact. read more

We came in for 2 drinks. The seasonal coffee & chai tea latte. I didn't enjoy the chai, but I like more sweet than spicy. I added a package of raw sugar and it still left quite a spicy aftertaste. Not to my liking, but if you like it spicy you will probably like it. I also ordered no foam and it came with about an inch of foam. I picked Crows Coffee to meet up with a friend because it is exactly between the two of us. No research was involved, I had no clue what to expect.... But boy am I glad it's where I chose. This may be one of my new favorite places. I ordered the chocolate chai to drink and holy cow!!! Chai has to be PERFECT for me to like it, and this was beyond perfect. The flavor was amazing. I've literally dreamed of it since that day, I'm desperate to go back and order it again. I got a breakfast burrito which was delightful as well. I've been to this area a few times and have been meaning to stop in so I finally made it in recently. I was immediately greeted by the barista who was so nice and full of positive energy. It definitely made a difference for me and made me want to stay longer and try more products in the shop. However, I was meeting a business partner for coffee so I didn't want to fully indulge in that meeting. Fun fact, my partner got the days mixed up so I ended up sitting there taking in the environment and vibe of the coffee shop for at least an hour.
