Amazing! Large store with tons of quality options and great prices. A wide range of styles and brands, including a lot of high-end clothing (I saw a Gianni Versace dress for like 40 or 50$) and a lot of vintage (There was a cute Nicole Miller dress for 200$, out of my price range but lovely). You'll definitely find some cute stuff. The black velvet shoes I purchased were 22$, and the gold and black dress I purchased (with a matching cover up) for 48$. Not bad! They also have a ton of stuff on sale for 25 and 50% off. Cute casual wear and mens clothes too. Fitting rooms were clean and spacious. Very friendly staff, great clothes and a good space for shopping. :)

Hidden behind Sole inside the D'Avolio building on Elmwood, this little consignment shop is full of gems, at decent prices. They've got both newish and vintage stuff, and a wide range of sizes. Their biggest strength seems to be their awesome collection of shoes and boots that can be worn this season, though I didn't buy any. The one thing I didn't love about the shop was the customer service. The clerk, who was talking to a friend, acted like we were interrupting her when we asked for prices on certain things, and was really grumpy and unprofessional in her interactions with us throughout our visit. That said, I'd still come in again. To give a sense of the range of the store: the two garments I wanted most were a gorgeous '60s-era dress that I imagine some starlet wearing while handing out martinis in her California bungalow, still with the tags on (and priced at $120), and a little gently-worn BCBG top perfect for New Year's Eve (priced at $8). Sadly, I could only take the latter, but it's nice to know I can find both there.

Great shop behind Taste of Siam. I highly recommend visiting both, preferably Second Chic first because trying on clothes after you eat is never a good idea. They've taken over the whole space that used to belong to several businesses and galleries, with items in several rooms, so be prepared to browse for a while. They had a nice selection and the prices seemed pretty good.

    Cutest clothes ever!

I wanted to check out a secondhand place while I was in town and there were only a few open.

These guys get an extra star just for being some of the most awesome people I've come to meet in…read morethe vintage community! After the pandemic I really got into buying and selling vintage decor - and I'll never forget, one of my first estate sale escapades after starting that venture, I came across the guys from Queen City Vintage. They told us they had been there to sign up for the sale at 6am, and had thoroughly swept up most of the sweet vintage Buffalo Bills gear at that sale. This included things like pullovers, hats, and some other merch. After hearing what they spent, and what they sold the stuff for, I had to admit I was thoroughly impressed. The amount of dedication they have to obtaining these items to sell is seriously admirable. It honestly inspired me to go far with my own buying and selling. Flash forward to a few weeks ago, I visited the store for the very first time. They were having a huge vintage Buffalo Bills sale at the shop in honor of the home opener. I was the first person in line, getting there at about 8am to wait until 11am for the shop to open. One of the guys asks me what I had come to the store to shop for, and I told them about the vintage Tweety Bird pullover that they'd posted on their Instagram a few days before, something I'd been looking for for a very long time (in honor of the one my mother once owned). They promised to make sure the one I wanted was on the rack for me when they finally opened the store. More respect earned. So yeah, these guys are genuinely fantastic. Their selection of vintage items (not just Bills) is pretty incredible, and all of their stuff is in such awesome condition that it's all basically deadstock. I totally recommend visiting their shop at least once, and following them on social media, as they're always posting stuff online too that typically sells out before they can even put them on the shelves at the store. And yes, I am thoroughly enjoying my Bills Tweety pullover as I write this. And my vintage Zubaz. Go Bills!

There were a lot of clothes/miscellaneous things in reusable shopping bags stuffed underneath the racks...unclear if shoppers are expected to dig through them. Lots of dust on the floor, got all over my skirt when I bent down to look. There is a bus parked outside that has more items for sale, but again totally disorganized and tons of junk shoved under the racks. This store has potential but the owner needs to put more effort into curating, pricing, organizing, and cleaning.

It seems the Serendipity Shoppe must have relocated since the reviews of a few years ago…read more Serendipity is not in the Blackrock area. It is located within the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Wadsworth and Pennsylvania. The entrance is on Wadsworth, but there is parking available via a driveway on Pennsylvania. Additionally, there is handicap access available. If needed, call from the parking lot and one of the volunteers will come to escort you to the code-required elevator. Okay. Now that we know where Serendipity can be found, what can we expect within? At least one serendipitous find. For instance, last Saturday my daughter, just prior to attending a graduation party, found a graduation card there, obviating the need to stop again to buy a card. That could not have been more serendipitous. Okay, okay. Imagine a thrift store and an antique store got married and had a baby. Serendipity? But, of course. You won't find clothing, as a rule. Not saying never, but Amvets and Buffalo City Mission have clothes. At Serendipity you will find collectibles of myriad types, books, jewelry, lamps, dinnerware, pottery, home décor, eclectic gifts. Perhaps a hat. Possibly a shawl. Books are nicely shelved and categorized. Every other thrift store I have been in could take a lesson. I had planned to return and take some interior photos before reviewing; seeing as the location seemed to be in question from past reviews, however, I decided to post now, make the location clear, and return at some later date with more photos.
