The Vancouver Farmer's Market is truly exceptional. They have a variety of vendors - jewelry,…read morecrafts, woodwork, cat nip, bakeries, veggies, produce, artisanal clothing, soaps, coffee, wine, plants, gorgous fresh flower bouquets - all lining wide streets making its easy to walk around and not be enveloped in crowds. In the late summer, early fall the fruit and produce is abundant! Juicy peaches, plums, cherries, the last of the blueberries and blackberries, rhubarb, eggplant, tricolored peppers, and beets fill the stalls. everything so colorful and delicious. Was excited to happen upon the Catnip Takeout booth filled with the most adorable handmade, felted cat toys that of course contain catnip. The owner gives you a takeout box and you fill it with the toys of your choice. She had veggies, mushrooms, hearts, eyeballs, bees, round balls, fruit- all adorable! since my house is very spa like with shades of cream, gray and blues, I was excited to find so many options in these colors. My cat immediately began batting the ball around the minute I gave it to her! The nursery here is the biggest and best I've ever seen at a Farmers Market. The variety of plants was impressive and all were healthy and thriving. they also sell sun catchers, perfect for inside a window or in your garden - every garden deserves a bit of whimsy imo. Lots of food carts serving a variety of cuisines. some are within the market, several more line the street on the outside of the market. The gyros caught my attention, the scent of grilled lamb everywhere. it didn't disappoint! I ordered the mega traditional which had extra meat so I could have half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Love that this market is open both Saturday and Sundays until 3pm April through October. Saturday they open at 9am; on Sundays they open at 10am. Parking is on the street, use parking kitty to pay. On a Sunday at 12:30 I had no issue finding a spot close by.

There are fresh fruits and vegetables; honey; smoked fish, and prepared foods not on a truck. Plus there are food trucks. There are rows of arts and crafts. Candles, clothes, and other household items can be found; I even saw knife sharpening. Basically, you could skip the grocery store and Home Depot and just shop local artisans. The highlight was fresh heirloom tomatoes that looked incredibly tasty, They oozed freshness and flavor. Since we are in a hotel, we did not buy any but they looked like they would be an excellent salad. Everyone (vendors) were friendly and seemed to know their repeat customers. Market-goers (customers) were having a good time. There is an area for kids go play. The ambiance is laid back and family friendly. We'll be back in Vancouver and plan to return again. It's a great way to spend some quality time with the family in gorgeous summer weather.

I really loved this Farmers Market, even though it was quite small compared to my local market…read more They offered a lot more food products for people with dietary restrictions. Hey Babe - offered a good cashew cheez. Rangoon Bistro - AMAZING!!! I love Burmese food, we tried two of their dishes, both were FANTASTIC, but spicy! I still ate it, it was so good. I found their pricing to be unique, they asked for $4-$10 per dish. I was very confused at first when they asked me what would you like to pay? I was like, huh?? They said do to Covid, as many our out of work, so they have a sliding scale, $4 is probably their break-even point, and $10 is probably their normal profit point. When he saw my look of confusion even after the explanation, he said how about $8, I said great! I think they have an AWESOME business model especially during this pandemic. Kate's Plant-based ice cream (vegan) - OMG, absolutely the best dairy-free ice cream I have ever had!!!! I really couldn't even tell it was dairy-free. If only they were local to me. I would be eating their ice cream every day!!!! I was super happy to find this farmers market, being both gluten-free and dairy-free can be hard and this place was perfect for me.

Running Sundays from 10-2, this small market features an impressive variety and selection for its size: Missionary Chocolates, Spiritopia Liquors, various food vendors including bakers, coffee, and such, fresh flowers (all the dahlias!), and several produce stands, one of which sold the best dang crispy tart apples I have ever eaten (I didn't get the name of the apples OR the seller, curses!). Both fellow shoppers and vendors were friendly and kind, everyone seeming to enjoy themselves. Parking was pretty challenging (surprise, surprise), but we eventually found a spot, and it was not too terribly far. This is really a neighborhood farmers market, but I had a great time (and wish I lived in the area so I could shop here with regularity).

I will start by saying that they have some gorgeous produce and quite a few rare items. I had a heck of a time trying to find several things and encountered several employees who did, 'help'... one directed me to an area, with a bit of attitude like I was bothering them and should know where it is. Then when I don't find it and they look - one of the items they say oh yeah, probably not at this location and the other one they say that so and so (some guys name I'm apparently supposed to know) had some out which are gone. Umm ok... Basically this is apparently shopping for those people who want to buy a bottle of wine, some fancy mushrooms and a can of something they can't pronounce, pay a whole lot of money for it and talk to Gary (or whoever) about the weather. And those mushrooms are gorgeous. I did grab cake samples for the road because they were there. Yeah, so YUM. Also their bakery folks were very helpful with their items. And the prices for bakery goods was actually reasonable since you really are getting quality. Same with their delivery and they were also quite helpful. I can completely see coming here for some specialty items. Be fit and non ADA though. Some areas are a bit challenging and their motorized cart said full battery but it was running out very fast.
