Love this store! The owner is amazing and staff always friendly! I needed some Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth like immediately because I had some rescue kittens with bad fleas and I won't use oral or topical poisons when I can treat the cat, kittens and entire apt naturally and safely. The feed store I normally go to was out and I was having trouble finding it. I also needed RAW Goats Milk for the kittens which isn't always easy to find either. I found this store online and called to see if they had Raw Goats Milk and possibly by chance Diatomaceous Earth. The owner said they had Raw Goats Milk but we're out of Diatomaceous Earth. I said bummer and explained why I was looking for it. She said she did have some that she had opened and used and that she would just give it to me if I wanted! Yes please! So I drove down there and was greeted by a friendly gal and the owner had told her to be expecting me. I asked her for recommendations on some freeze dried cat snacks so I got some, (which the cats LOVED) the Raw Goats Milk. Then she went and got the opened Diatomaceous Earth and told me the owner said I could have it for free! Are you kidding me? The container was still about full, you couldn't even really tell any had been used! Who does that!? No one is that generous these days! Thank you! read more

Love this local pet store. Have a cat that pukes if I don't feed him the best food around. They carry all the big brands that you'd expect to see as well as great treats for your cat or dog. A friendly chocolate lab will greet you at the door here and the owner is more than helpful. They do have frequent customer rewards as well. read more

I absolutely love this store. It has some of the highest quality pet food you can buy, but without the high prices that you get from the big chain stores. My little buddy Frankie just loves the trout meal blend and seems to be more active since I switched him over. Most of all though, this is a small, independent business in Historic Downtown Gresham that adds to our wonderful neighborhood. The owner is so pleasant and can often be seen walking her (not so little) buddy around the neighborhood. If Norman Rockwell were alive today, he would paint a picture of her and her dog in downtown Gresham and it would be iconic. read more

I have seen the same sparkley packaging over and over. None of it works for my dog.. the guys and gals at second nature were very helpful and helped us to find and purchase the best dry dog food I've seen, thus far. We are very picky about ingredients and have done a lot of exploring and walking away from beautiful packaging which holds very little substance. She has the best healthy, holistic, grain free dog and cat food and treats and at the best prices. We use Hi Tek and she is the only person in this area that carries it. It is lamb and grain free and has 31 % protein so you can feed your dog less, save money, and feed them the best! read more

I love this pet food store. I have brought several friends here and they also buy their cat/dog food here now as well. They have the best all natural home baked dog treats.( My dog will do any trick for the all natural round treats in glass jars(bulk). He really likes the red Beet ones, the cheese ones, and the green spinach and cheese treats. Acts like a puppy begging for them! Walks me to the dog Treat closet to get them. Too funny! Also the frozen raw cubed dog food with veggies added has made him healthier. I Also order the Honest Kitchen freeze dried/ dehydrated dog food and add the frozen raw cubed dog food as well. It is made fresh here in human food commercial kitchens in Portland. A great product. He prefers the beef. I give him raw fresh, org. rainbow salad with a cheese based dressing and it disappears! He sits and begs with the big eyes... until he gets half of mine. The woman who runs/ owns this cute little house.. is an amazing human being as well as an avid animal lover. She referred me to our vets office. Both doctors are awesome! Stark St. Animal Hospital. Very good reasonable prices as well. They also will give you a payment plan. Not like some of the animal hospitals around who demand full payment right up front or let your beloved pet die. Yes, I actually had Dove Lewis tell me to that they reccomend euthanizing my 1 and a half year old dog who had a minor broken leg all over the instant money policy. Idiots! That did not happen. We saved her leg with surgery and it was all good. So come to this wonderful shop and be treated well, get good suggestions on food/ pet treatments , vets, groomers etc. Local store.. as it use to be. Old Time friendly , helpful service.
