Cayly is amazin. I've used her for all of my dog, those who have passed away. The website says she has over a decade of experience dog grooming, which is true. But I remember when she worked at Beauty for the beast before 2004. She is and always been the best groomer I've ever met and have so much first hand experience with all of my dogs. I've only had the best experiences with her. I mov far away for a year and had to use a different groomer for a year with my Aussie, and he was always left looking "choppy". I've never in my life met a groomer better than Cayly. Yes she may be booked out a long time, because she is the best, but just book your doggy ahead of time and become a regular! read more

My dog Mattie looks so much younger after her haircut! It's so great to be able to have a local business I can support instead of the big stores that get plenty of attention. We used to always go and get her hair done there but I finally was able to get in to Caylys because she had a cancellation! It's just a little place on the outskirts of downtown Gresham. I agree with all the reviews regarding Cayly's work. She is amazing with her furry clients and my dog absolutely loved her! The bad thing is she has gotten so busy she doesn't have any flexibility to work with her customers when they have family situations where they can't make appointments and need to reschedule. That is unless you want to wait 5-6 months to get your pet in to see her. We have been clients of Cayly's Doggy Styles for well over 6 years. Even though Cayly knows what our situation is, we were heartbroken when we she didn't show any willingness to help us out and be flexible enough to get our pet in for a grooming when we were able to come home for a short visit. We are happy for her that her business is so good. BUT, what about taking care of customers she has had for years?? Wow! Night and day how good my Sasha Bear looks! Her fur was seriously getting out of hand as she shed her coat to prepare for winter. Her nails were getting sooo long and it was just time. 40$ later (plus tip) a perfect little girl came back to me. She was so happy and clean! We've been taking our pugs and now our Frenchie puppy to Kayly's since she first opened her shop. From our first time there we knew we'd found our groomer in Kayly! At first it was just Kayly and now, because of the excellent service she provides, she has several groomers working for her. We bring our 3 dogs to Kayly's every 3 months and they always come out smelling great and happy! We always make our next appt. before we leave, as she is booked far in advance. During the Holidays our doggies come out jingling, wearing red and white necklaces with bells on them!! The first year I took this picture. It is sad to have to write this review after several years as a satisfied customer. If I could rate any lower than one star after my most recent experience, I would. I dropped my two dogs off as usual for their appointment and was told to come back at a certain time and I did. I was then told they were not ready and to come back a bit later. I happily said 'no problem" and went out to my car to wait. Cayly came out to my car and told me I had to move it because I was parked for pickup and drop off only. She said my dogs would be ready in another hour or so and to come back then. I was taken aback by her hostility at that moment but left to run more errands. I came back when she had suggested and was told that they were STILL not ready. They had been at her shop for over 5 hours at this point. I still was patient and went back to my car to wait. I was parked across the street this time reading my book. Cayly came out once more and told me to "just come get your dogs. I couldn't get them done because you have been interrupting me all day." One dog had been groomed and shaved and the other had only had a bath. I paid $70 for that and took my dogs out to the car. Their ears were not cleaned and nails were not done and the shave job on one was horrible. I went back inside and wanted my money back. Cayly said "here, just give me your dog and come back in 10 minutes". The chop job she gave that dog will take weeks to grow out and will need to be fixed. I asked Cayly why she was yelling at me and treating me so horribly. I told her that I recommended her to a LOT of people. She told me she didn't need my recommendations or my business. She will get neither ever again. I can understand having a bad day, but I cannot excuse nor forgive the way I was treated and the horrible service she inflicted on my dogs grooming. read more

They don't take dogs over 60lbs. It doesn't explicitly say this on their website; it says "Large dogs: call." I looked at their website, and then I went in to the business. I didn't have my dogs with me, but I talked to a very nice woman, showed her pictures of my 75lb dogs, described them, etc. However, when I called a couple weeks later to make an appointment, I was told they don't take dogs over 60lbs. I don't know where or how the disconnect happened, but it disappointed me. I was looking forward to bringing my dogs here. read more

Cayly's is a great local business with a huge heart. She is so good to our dog (standard poodle) it's a pleasure to take her there. When we pick her up she always looks perfect, complete with bows in her hair :) Her prices are very reasonable and the "boutique" has lots of fun stuff for dog parents. There are clothes, treats, leashes and such. We even got her a Coach collar there! Another little bonus, you can just drop in to get nails clipped without an appointment and I think it's under $10! This was a very disturbing experience. I spoke for a few minutes with Cayly when I brought my Yorkie Max in. I told that I didn't care that much about what he looks like--I care about his comfort, not whether he wins Best In Show. I just wanted her to get the hair out of his eyes, his little feet off the street and that she brushed his teeth. When I picked him up, I found that she had ignored everything she said. Weirdly, his belly had been shaved bald--including around his penis. She said that she *had* to shave that; that is was some kind of state regulation. I guess that must be true--but, if so, she should probably told me that and I'd go some else. She hadn't brushed his teeth. read more

Cayly is wonderful! We had a terrible experience at Bowwow Happy and put off taking our dogs to another groomer. We waited far too long and Maggie had a coat full of mats by the time we made our appointment. Cayly wanted to make sure it was ok to shave her if she couldn't brush out the mats because vigorous brushing can hurt the dog. She ended up being bad enough that Cayly asked if we could pick her up and finish the next day so that Maggie wouldn't be too stressed. She came in early so that she could give Maggie all of her attention. Maggie, always nervous, didn't shake or try to get away and that says a LOT. She looks better than expected. Cayly took great care of our baby. We'll take both of our dogs there again. If it's important to anyone, her prices are great too read more

I can't sing their praises enough. We had taken our dog to another stylist and she had clipped her (and didn't even tell us - saw dried blood on her), so she was a little weary of trimmers. Plus, she's just a needy dog. We took her to Cayly's on a recommendation and we couldn't be happier. We go back every 3 months to get her groomed. Brought my dog in for a nail clipping without an appt. Didn't wait at all, she came out and did it right in the waiting area! Very friendly and gentle. In and out in 5 minutes and only cost $8! My vet charges $15 and I always have to wait at least 1/2 hour even WITH an appt. This is my new go-to place for all grooming needs. If you ever thought that your dog doesn't like the groomer, You've never been to Cayly's. She is so good with my Westie, and does excellent work (her cut always looks good.). My only complaint is that I have to pre-book every time I go because she is so busy. That isn't really a complaint though, because all her clients love her so much we all pre-book. I won't take my dog anywhere else, as I have had problems with multiple places. Also, my big dog is too heavy to fit on her table for grooming, but Cayly clips his nails whenever he needs it. read more

Cayly is by far the best groomer I have found for my two Lhasa girls! I recently purchased a coupon book from the Missing Children's Poster Partners and inside was a coupon for a free nail trim from Caylys Doggy Styles. All the coupons in the book have an expiration dated printed on them for 5/31/2011. I had called on a Monday (5/2/2011)and left a message to set up this nail trim for a newly rescued Cocker Spaniel dog I had adopted and never recieved a call back. I called Thursday and talked to someone who said that the expiration was a "misprint"..(no one else has told me that when I have used their coupons) and would no longer except the coupon but I could come in a pay for one. Coming from a family of business owners..first...honor your coupon....its good business....just so you know in not doing so you have lost a potential long term customer that has a dog that needs life long grooming. Your lack in returning a phone call that you assumed was not important, shows even more why I would not try your business.
