I'm always on the hunt for a beautiful antique piece of furniture or great vintage find. This consignment shop is heavily stocked in second hand clothing which is not on my "treasure hunt" list. Also, items seem very reasonably priced, but I can't speak to the clothing prices. I truly appreciated the cashier pointing out the cracked/chipped glass on the inside of a vintage food storage container lid that made the purchase a "no go". Frankly, this second hand shop should have a consigner store policy of "no broken, chipped, cracked, torn, stained, no missing buttons, etc" on items allowed. This keeps the quality high, and the reputation of the store honorable. If the consigner is determined to try to sell a damaged item they should at least note "As Is" on the price tag to alert the customer, and that wasn't the case with the glass storage container. The numerous framed "Best of Consignment Shop" awards says this spot is loved by locals! This used to be one of my favorite consignment stores. When Covid started, they shut down their public bathroom. I think all business places should have a public bathroom. When one has the need to go to the bathroom, or sometimes they cannot wait until they go down the road to go to some other place that welcomes customers. I do not go there anymore. read more

I've seen the other review and was hesitant to go there due to them, but it's the only local store that carries the paint I needed so in I went. Over the course of a week, I ended up there multiple times because my scatterbrained self kept needing more items for my project. Every time I went, every single person that I interacted with there was polite and welcoming. I don't know if they have new staff once those other reviews or if the same staff took those to heart and changed but exhausted interaction felt genuine and not forced. I will absolutely frequent this store now for my paint needs instead of waiting for an online order to arrive. read more

If I could leave a zero for a score I would . These people are hateful and always rude! I've heard them talking about the consigners and the customers within ear shot of other customers and consigners; it's not appropriate or professional. They supposedly donate things not acceptable for consigning but I am sure they keep for themselves . They "donate" things that are in perfect condition instead of selling them. I just can't stress enough how horribly rude and unprofessional these people are. They are the only consignment store for Augusta so they have a monopoly on the market. Perhaps this is why they think they can treat people any way. Family owned and operated - maybe that's why everyone is so hateful- runs in the family. Stoped by today and just didn't feel welcomed. Also told that they were closing in 5 mins at 5:40pm. Felt pushed out. When I was checking out one of the ladies says to the cashier "looks like we will only be a couple mins late to our nail appointment". Felt like a big inconvenience. I won't be returning. Although it's possible to find some good bargains in this store I only go here if I haven't found what I'm looking for elsewhere. I agree with other reviewers that the customer service is terrible. On most of the occasions when I have shopped here I was made to feel like my presence was a big annoyance. I think the employees and the manager would be happier if no customers would show up at all. There have been a couple of exceptions to this rule, in particular a gentleman who rang up a purchase for me one day, He was very friendly and helpful but I've only seen him once. I suppose he got fired for being too pleasant with the customers. It would be so simple and wouldn't cost a thing for the people working here to make customers feel welcome. read more

My elderly mother and aunt were shopping and my aunt while shopping in this establishment had to go to the restroom. She asked the owner and she was told that they do not have a public restroom. She stated since COVID we closed our restrooms. That statement is not true....another aunt visited the store and too asked to use the restroom before COVID, she too was told no restroom is available. She was told that by law they are not required to offer a public restroom. Not sure of the law, (I will definitely research that) but as paying customers you should have a restroom available for the customers. The owner proceeded to scold my mom about the reasons they do not have a public restroom is because they have spent a lot of money for bathroom repairs. "When people start treating the bathroom right we will think about opening back up!!!" Another customer approached my mother and said they did that to me too. She said she had her granddaughter with her and they refused to allow her to go. The owner had the nerve to approach them and tell my mother at the top of her lungs, "All the time you are spending talking, and complaining to my customers you could have gone to McDonalds or walk across the 6 lane highway to the gas station and back , and I could have held your items!!!" My mother told her that it was my elderly aunt that needed to go, not her!!! This conversation went on and they proceeded to say when they were on Walton way they did not have a public restroom, 1/2 true, they did in fact have a restroom for the customers...., however it was not available for walk-ins (which is understandable) We will NEVER frequent this establishment again!! I advise the owners to reevaluate their store policies. Many elderly, pregnant, and children visit their store and the owner has the worse attitude I have EVER experienced!!!! read more

Closes at 6 .. I arrive at 5:40.. the door is locked .. lady comes out and says if it will be quick come in. I go in and the lights are off .. 3 ladies are working.. one lady says "hey didn't you do the books already?" Then another lady says "did you see what you were looking for already" basically rushing me. So I said "I don't want to feel rushed" and no one said anything.. sad that they're that lazy and can't stay open until the time on the door and be more accommodating.. very bad business.. The store is full of clothes and furniture at fair prices and good condition-however, staff are very unprofessional as they talk to each other rudely and can be heard talking about customers who regularly consign there. On one occasion 3 weeks ago an elderly woman needed a restroom and was denied use of their bathroom even after she had soiled herself and needed to clean up. I've worked in retail for 22 years and I've cleaned bathrooms after people who were careless, that's just what you do as a business catering to the public. This woman was in need and I would assume quite embarrassed and instead of helping her so that she could continue shopping and feel comfortable again she had to leave and drive to another location-she drives to this store from a town an hour away so going home wasn't an option. Being new to the area I was very excited to find and shop at this store. Upon my initial visit I felt the prices and variety were good. I did however feel the customer service was lacking, but I over looked it as it being my first time and we all know people have bad days and we never know what they may be dealing with. My first purchase was around $40. I presented my debit card and was asked if it was unemployment.. I first felt that was not professional to even ask, But I complied and said yes? The cashier who lacks any personality replied that because it was unemployment she would accept. Ok great! So on my next trip I spent $60, got a great pair of boots and some other amazing items I was thrilled with my purchase! I presented the same card without a chip and was not asked a single question this time! The cashier was the same, still lacking in any type of personality or smile. So on my third trip as I was browsing the racks, a worker was on the phone offering what it sounded like was great customer service and it sounded like some sort of technical issue online. After she resolved the customers issue she hung up and was holding a conversation with another employee and very loudly I might add and honestly was just really talking poorly of the customer she had just gotten off the phone with. Now I have worked in customer service related jobs for many years and I understand frustrations and needing to vent but do it out of customer ear shot ladies it's not professional!!! After that conversation they started speaking very poorly of another customer that had just left! I should have spoken up but I was just disgusted and decided I needed to just check out and leave. I take my items. Which were 2 bracelets to the front, lady with zero personality rings them up $6... I present my same card that I used on the previous trips and she tells me i cannot use the card because of no chip. I replied that I had used it before no issues. She then yells to the back to the gossip girl and says $6 no chip says she's used the card before.. then says no we cannot take it. Now honestly I had cash... have 3-4 different cards with chips and I could have just used another payment method but I was just disgusted and dissatisfied with my experience and just left without my small purchase. I am still undecided if I want to even go back. The cashier lacks any type of customer skills, The employees need to learn to take their conversations elsewhere and they really need to be consistent on their method of payment not depending on what the total amount of the sale is! read more

This consignment shop is clean and well organized. The prices are pretty decent too. I stop in at least once a month during their 75% off sale and intend to find one or two items. If you like thrifting/consignment shopping then you'll enjoy yourself. read more
