Made an appointment I wasn't aloud to commit to. The lady at the front desk was so rude and wasn't listening to anything I had to say about my appointment or why I was even there. This was my fourth attempt with Taylor michigan sos and I Will not be coming back. I have never been treated so poorly. I felt discriminated against. I was greeted by a woman who was annoyed that I was even walking in for my 6 o'clock appointment. I was treated poorly from the instant I walked in. Everybody I encountered treated me like I was an inconvenience to them. Worst experience I have ever had with customer service. They refused to let me retake my test that took me only 10 minutes to take, I was told I could have the option of retaking my test before the office closed. They still refused me. Had to go in to have k endorsement removed from CDL. It's another way for the state to screw you and get more money. Anyway the woman i had was very rude. Had an attitude with me the whole time. When I got my new drivers license in the mail my chin was cut off the Pic. So when you have a shitty attitude it reflects on your work. Now I have to deal with this photo until i renew again.. maybe if the gov starts hiring better quality people, they'll get better results, everyone that worked there looked like they came from the same ghetto. Best secretary of state experience yet. Came here to renew my license. In and out in 30 minutes. That's super fast with my fastest experience. I did use M I online checkin. Surprisingly all the employees were friendly and smiling and most of them are working pretty fast. It is in a small strip mall so theyhave plenty of parking. read more

Now I usually go to the smaller SOS branches but this was closer to my doctors office and since i was picking up an handicap sticker and I had a rode there, then i guess i should get it now. OMG - i feel so bad for elder people who don't really get technology because the place has upgraded. It just not the normal "please take a ticket and sit, then wait for your number". Now you'll have to use a kiosk, select what you are looking, and then entering your cell number. Please note: some people will get a ticket and others will not depending on your request. The updated system will send a text message to your phone (not call) which will let you know your queue and estimated time. Unfortunately since i there - i literally had to help two older people figure the system and somewhat walk them there. I would give this place a 5 stars only if there were someone helping at the kiosk but other than that this place is nice and clean. read more

I thought I'd be slick and arrive at 9am on a Tuesday. There were already about 30 other people in line at the door. I got whammied. While waiting in line, I noticed an option to text check-in... What?! I could potentially cut in front of all these people waiting to check in at the automated kiosk? That's exactly what I did! I took a seat and received text updates. I was at the counter after 10 minutes and out the door just a few after that. The employees were friendly and efficient. It almost felt like I wasn't at a Secretary of State. In previous visits, the employees were short-tempered and curt... things have really turned around! If you visit, remember to spot the text check-in option and avoid the kiosk line. read more

I had to renew my tags and license and couldn't renew it from the self-serve station. I ended up coming to this smaller location and I'm SO glad that I did. I came in on a Monday right around 11 a.m. and to my surprise it wasn't packed like other locations. I checked into the computer kiosk and was assisted right away. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes! You can't beat that! read more

Unfortunately my kids and I had to spend almost an hour and a half dreadful hour there today. I was already expecting to stand in line but after waiting for that long a worker name Cathy came over and told me to get in another line behind a young man who got there way after me, when I told this incredibly rude worker that I had gotten there before him, she threatened me by saying that if I don't get in the other line she wouldn't process me. I'm still burning inside for not saying anything to her or better yet slapping her! Does she not realize that she's dealing with a customer! What's worse is that while I was waiting in this new line the worker who was supposed to process me was fixing her necklace for almost 10 freaking minutes! I'm so over it! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm moving to MI from Nevada and This place is a joke. First they never even said welcome to MIchigan. The staff is terribly rude. I was waiting on the list for my number to be called and somehow I got kicked out of line and they told me I had to re sign in and wait all over again! Worst place ever! If I could give this place a 0 I would still be making them look good! Staff at this branch are very rude I guess they were never told that they are still doing customer service and need to look at people's face when they talk to them and smile for once! We got there on a Friday at 11:30 am, place was packed people in chairs, lines thought oh my. Checked in on phone got in document check line and was out of there in 10-15 minutes! Ta Da! Employee who helped us was friendly and quick. read more

This location organized fairly well. Woman helping at window one checking documents needs to work on her people skills...rude.

First off, I walk in and there's no indication of what you're supposed to do and there's people in lines all over the place. Finally someone tells me that I need to go to the kiosk and insert my phone number. After that, I had to wait in another line for them to have me go sit down and yet wait again. I waited over two hours and I ended up having to use the bathroom. I go over to the bathroom and a woman comes out I go in there's no toilet paper and she Peed all over the seat. So I ran to McDonald's real quickly and came back and by then it was 705 and they wouldn't let me back in the building even though I waited over two hours !! This is absolute bullshit! I even had the text that said you have 19 minutes and that came at 7:02pm. There are no signs that say you have to be back in the building by 7 PM. They said they made an announcement but I was probably across the street at the McDonald's using the bathroom since I don't know how to stock their toilet paper! Real nice people you have working there who won't let someone back in after they wasted 2 1/2 hours of their day sitting there waiting . read more

I scheduled ahead on the MI-Time line and got there right at pre-set time. I was literally called within 2 minutes of entering the building, exactly at the scheduled time. There were easily 100-125 peopel waiting in the office but I got in and out in 5 minutes! It was great. Highly recommend the MI-Time process. Quick and easy. read more
