Really nice and multi-ethnic suburb to the northwest of Detroit - it's a little bit far out but it has some cool stuff here and my pasty shop is here - the one I just reviewed recently, Superior Pasties - and just in general I like this part of town. It's not as fancy and as rich as some of the suburbs, but then it's also not nearly as rundown as Detroit itself. Yet still has some nice character, unlike a lot of the burbs of MI. I come here on a regular basis whenever I'm in town and usually get food and pizza and some other good stuff. Really friendly people around here as well which surprised me. At least some of them were. And you can't say that about the whole region. So to summarize - A very rich and old school European suburb in the north part of Detroit with all kinds of enjoyable food gems and definitely one of the more interesting areas. It is located the Northwest and has some special places that not enough people visit.

Oak Park was about a week. BTW, here's a tip...if you need your license renewed you'll now need your birth certificate so bring it with you the first time. Besides the fact that SOS has gotten far more advanced with their processes it's still a cattle call. The Oak Park office was actually really efficient and the gentleman that took care of me was quick and the whole thing was painless once I got to the counter. My advice...make an appointment online and only show up 5 minutes before your appointment so you don't have to spend any more time in the waiting room than needed.

For starters, the place is almost always clean and well stocked. It's not the biggest or baddest post office, but this one seems to have it together, considering what it is. The lines are never terribly long and the ladies here that wait on me are quick and efficient. Recently, they had their drive up mail box replaced. It was rusty and in terrible shape. I hated using it, and am glad to see a new one on the curb. There is a parking lot here, but its tight and your better off parking on the curb. Making a left out of here can be downright dangerous at times because the stoplight is always on blinking red and the cars parked on the street block your view of people coming at you. There is a few downsides to this place but I will only discuss the one big one that has only caused me grief once. They do not accept packages here for whatever reason, and send you to the main post office off Fenkel. I have no idea why this is. I've seen a few patrons get a little crazy over it and it wasn't pretty. I've only been to the Fenkel location once, and it's a super nice updated facility, about 3 miles away. Overall, it's an alright place and the staff is super friendly and nice. Will continue to return here as long as I work on this side of town.

This place is top notch…read more Quick professional service. This place is alway on the move. You will be able to drive not expensive trucks fast and run through red lights. You never k ow what the day will hold. It is an adrenaline rollercoaster ride here. You may not know it when you walk on by but the food here is out of this world, hot and fresh. The place is always clean, inside and out. It is also a good place for an overnight stay. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean and quiet. If you would like the opportunity to experience this lifestyle applications are being taken. What you need is your firefighter 1 and 2 certification as well as your paramedic license. It is now a month later and still have not received my security deposit back for the room. I have called the office and spoke to the receptionists five times now. They sent me a receipt to my email confirming another day that I reserved the room. I never reserved the room again though. Management to this point has failed to make themselves available for a conversation regarding their customer. The only time I was able to speak to management was regarding a question I had for additional resources for the room (I.e microphone, podium, tv). Very disappointed. I will no longer be hosting events here. Along with that I am filing a complaint with the BBB. They should not be able to conduct business in this unethical way.
