Fantastic Table Service and Great Cocktails Apologies if you were looking for a review on the cigar bar but this is specific to the food and drinks, folks. You'd almost expect it to be counter intuitive to come to a cigar bar for dinner but I had heard good things about their food so I came in to check it out. We grabbed a booth this time. They're cozy and comfortable FYI...and allow for a little less foot-traffic-distraction from the 9 mile window tables. The house was pretty full at 7. The bar was mostly filled with cocktailers and the two front window tables were also taken. That said, people at the bar...kind of obnoxious and loud on this particular night, but so it goes. It was just unexpected, for what it's worth. We ordered drinks...The Last Czar and a prosecco split. Drinks are pricey here!!! I expect that for a split but my cocktail was $14. That's gotta be one of the more expensive drinks in all of Ferndale, yeah?! Make no mistake though it was great. Kind of like a Sazerac but with Campari instead of the Peychauds' flavors. I liked it. The prosecco was ok enough. For food, we ordered the Secreto Trio to start...hummus, guacamole and salsa with tortilla chips and fresh grilled pita on the side. The hummus was great, the guac was great, the chips were good and the pita was warm and crispy. The salsa, though....straight out of a jar...like Tostitos style. For all I know the hummus and the guac were bought too which is fine by me, but, Garden Fresh is literally down the street....use some better salsa. The portion was a little on the small side for $9, but moving on. Next we ordered the Garlic Shrimp. I wasn't a huge fan but I will say that the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The sauce was unexpectedly not garlicky and it didn't really grab hold of the shrimp to coat it so it was just OK. The bed of sautéed spinach it was laid on, was kind of bland, sorry to say. The shrimp missed the boat for me. Lastly, the Slider Trio....the Greek lamb slider with a slice of cucumber, was delicious. The second slider was beef...I think. It could've been a veggie burger for all I know. It tasted like mushrooms, and that's pretty much it. The pulled pork slider tasted OK. It was really saucy (like flowing onto the plate saucy) and the pork had some chewy cartilaginous bits in it that were a little unappealing. The trio was $15. That's as steep as Public House prices but this is no slider joint. All that aside, the bartender was minding the bar and the dining room and she was great...nice work on that! I'm probably not coming back for dinner but the drinks here are interesting, if on the more expensive side, of all of Ferndale. I can't really bag on a cigar bar for serving food that's, well, meh. The service was great and the drinks were good so 2.5 stars seems about fair. read more

My husband and I walked in to this place asking for recommendations as we are new to cigar smoking. The guy at the front had no interest in showing us recommendations or showing us there cigar collection.he picked one out and tried to ring us up for it. I wanted a few options with explanations of flavors. He rolled his eyes at us when we wanted to go into the humidifier room so he can give us a couple of options. So disappointed we couldn't even give this place a try due to the poor customer service. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. read more

I've driven by this place a few times!! Me and a buddy finally decided to try it out this past Friday. It wasn't busy. We weren't greeted and didn't know exactly if we should seat ourselves. We stumbled onto the back lounge area. Took a seat a nice guy approached us greeted us and stated he would get a waitress. After 10 minutes Excellent service from there ON. Nice and Relaxing seating and color scheme!! My salad and drinks were nice. The Cigar attendant was very professional and knowledgable!! I Absolutely adore this place!!!! read more

Smoke, drink, and eat in the same place! One stop shopping for a great evening. They have a great selection of cigars, liquor, and food. I had the Margherita pizza with pepperoni and it was terrific! I expected more in Ferndale, but was not impressed. Horrible ventilation system, very ethnic Dearborn feel, kinda ghetto DJ and not what I expected, hard to eat when it wreaks of smoke. The place to hang in Ferndale. Nice selection of sticks, great craft beer and bourbon choices and the friendliest staff you could ever meet. Even if you don't smoke cigars, have a drink and relax. This cigar bar has poor customer service. I guess the stand in bartender was having a bad day and felt the need to lash out on paying customers. Her demeanor was very unprofessional and classless. Even after back and forth exchanges she directed that go back across 8 mile and I was ghetto. I felt that was rude,racist and unnecessary. I will never ever return to that establishment and will file a complaint with the Ferndale chamber of commerce and the better business bureau. I had the worse experience of my life. Waited 35 minutes before the bartender "Jamie" would acknowledge that we were waiting for services at the bar. Went with a group of about six people. When we were able to get her attention Jamie looked at us and did not acknowledge that she would be with us as soon as she could. After 35 minutes, she finally served our group. One of the individuals in our party asked if they had wifi and Jamie totally ignored her. We asked for a manager, which happen to be the bartenders brother "Kevin". It took some time for him to come over to the bar. In the meantime, a couple walked in and was attempting to get service, we advised the couple that the bar staff was short and it may take some time for them to be served. Jamie then stated "oh no, I just made you all wait." Then she proceeded to say we were a bunch of ANIMALS! By this time the Manager/Claimed Owner Kevin presented to the bar and he was hostile and did not care to hear what happen. His question was "who refused to pay for their drink"? There was one person in our party who stated she was not going to pay for bad service and refused to pay for her drink, which she had not drank. Jamie stated too bad, I poured it so you need to pay for it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!! I have never been treated with such disrespect. Don't ever try to have a event here. I spoke with the owner on serval occasions face to face to have my engagement party there., He made it seems as if we were all good and he wAs gonna do a nice spread for me. Several emails and calls went unanswered for my food menu that I wanted to choose from. A week before my party he decided to do construction on the space that back fired on him. It's the week of my party and he still won't answer my emails or return my calls so After stalking him at the bar we finally sat down to do a food menu 5 days before my party with a messed up room with a big hole in the wall . He comes back 3 days before the event and wants to charge me $1200. For middle eastern food for 50 people. The cheapest food to prepare. I could of went to Anita's kitchen and fed the whole party with leftovers for way less than that.Needless to say I found somewhere else . They loved getting my business and making bank off the bar. He totally missed out on a great business opportunity at a time when the bar is ever busy at 7pm read more

This evening was my first time coming here and from a cigar standpoint everything was great. My boyfriend loves cigars and he spoke with the owner who was very knowledgable, welcoming, and accommodating. The bartender however was extremely rude. We came with a group of four and after getting cigars sat outside. My boyfriend and I went in to order drinks and the bartender told us she needed to see all 4 ID's. No problem with that seeing as we are all 27+. I said I would go get the ID's but we gave her the drink orders to start in the meantime. She then said, no I'll start your two drinks and after I see the ID's I'll start the other two. Still no issue with that. I then asked her, just for clarity, if she JUST needed the ID's (since we had all been in there already) or if our other two people needed to come in and she said "yeah, that's generally how it happens". Excuse me? Was that a necessary comment? I think not. Then, to make it even better, when I walked outside to get our other two people, she proceeded to talk about the exchange with some other customers at a booth nearby asking them if she was being crazy while my boyfriend remained at the bar waiting for our drinks to be completed. Well, not sure if I would call her crazy but definitely rude. From a cigar standpoint, we may come back but it's hard to say as there's way better places to get a cocktail in Ferndale that have polite staff and far better drinks. read more
