The storage units are pretty decent for the area. There are better and there are worse. We are pretty satisfied upon observation. The climate controlled units are clean and functional. The pricing is pretty good as well. Management is very disorganized and struggles with customer service. Cheyanne at the Jacksonville office, is very accommodating and professional. She remained positive and upbeat while handling a full office and a lot of things out of her control. 1230 gum Branch road Jacksonville, NC I do not recommend when you purchase the storage it is presented as a deal/ special but once in about 6 month to a year they raise rates due to "being intune with market rates" this will happen once or twice a year!! they do not care for their customers just about their coins. The GM told me (I wish I remembered her name) said "they need to keep their doors open too" when I expressed my concern about the rate change and to see if anything could be done. She also stated that for two months they waived late fees due to covid but if I pay my bill how is that going to help and also it wasn't communicAted by email for customers to know that!! Like the rate change is!! As a native of Jacksonville NC I will never do business with them again and suggest my family and friends don't either. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Let's first start with the fact that this place has a very bad rat problem. My unit was covered with rat droppings. I couldn't believe it. My bags of clothes had been torn open and blue stains from rat shit was on my clothes. I saw d something to the location manager Chandler. She told me they do have a rat problem there because people store food in their units. I thought ok but not me. She then gave me an insurance pamphlet for any damages in my unit. I thought good I can use the insurance I've been paying for 9 months. I read the pamphlet and found out that rodent or vermin anything wasn't covered by the insurance. So now? I contacted corporate through an email and was directed back to the location manager Chandler. I told her the insurance doesn't cover my issue. That's when she told me to still go ahead and file a claim through the insurance company because some people have received payments for this issue. I felt like she could have just explained the first time. That this isn't normally covered through the insurance company but it's worth a try to be compensated for my damages. Instead she just threw me the pamphlet and I was out of her hair. She did offer to put poison down in my unit but the infestation is already in there and the damage is done to my things. My next issue with this business is their shady billing. I contacted the location manager Chandler again because something just wasn't right. I noticed a huge increase in the amount of my bill from one month to the next. I questioned did all units at this location receive rate increases I was told yes. The problem is my Mom and I have separate units at this location but she didn't receive an increase. Once I finally got Chandler to understand what my issue is. She said she would contact her District Manager and get back to me. After waiting some time I called Chandler back and received the old I was just getting ready to call you back line. She told me her manager as able to reduce my unit rent. I said ok but why was it ever the amount that it as to begin with. Chandler said because of rent increases from the corporate office. I understand businesses do this from time to time but like I said if all units were raised why wasn't my mom's. At this point Chandler was getting annoyed by my questions and I was getting annoyed by her answers. She expected me to be happy for the rent decrease from her manager but I still needed some answers. Chandler then accused me of yelling at her, which I wasn't. I was talking with authority in my voice and letting it be known that I am not a fool. So don't give me answers as if I am one. I then asked again why did I receive the increase but not others again and why did her manager just decide to decrease my rent. I was appalled when Chandler answered back when people call and talk to us nice we do that but you keep yelling. So if you kiss behind you get good service, huh. I saw this call was going nowhere fast. So I asked about the money I overpaid on my last bill. Is that money being returned to me or applied to my next months payment. Chandler sucked her teeth, said something slick and I had had enough of this little bitch. I then raised my voice and proceeded to tell her about herself. I'm so glad this was over the phone because she truly deserves a good slap for her nasty little attitude problem. I'm now waiting to speak with the district manager Amanda. If this is the same person that Chandler spoke with and helps customers that talk to her nice. I'm not looking forward to seeing that call at all. I wish the company Ironguard Storage still owned this location because I had zero issues with them. As soon as it changed to SecurCare it turned for the worst. Found another storage place in Jacksonville because this place is horrible. read more

We were renting a trailer from this location for our move and spoke to the office manager ahead of time saying we would be at the location exactly at 4pm which is closing time on Sundays. We hit some traffic and the gps estimated 4:02pm instead. When we called at 3:55pm, nobody answered and at 4:02 when we arrived, doors were locked and lights were off and no return phone call from the location about our reservation. Besides being extremely unaccommodating for a few minutes difference to let us get a trailer for our move, they didn't even have the courtesy to call us back and they let us show up to nobody even in the office.
