Truly terrible company. Signed up for ADT service through them. In less than a month I've had two sensors fail as well as useless secondary wireless panel. DO NOT Use Secure 24 as an Authorized ADT Dealer - Major Scam Alert I'm sharing this to warn others--DO NOT use Secure 24 for your home security needs. They claim to be an ADT-authorized dealer, but my experience was nothing short of a scam. I initially spoke with a friendly sales rep over the phone who offered a great package deal. However, what actually happened was the opposite. The installer, Jesse, came to my home and assured me he would install hardwired cameras only--no solar, no plug-ins. I made that very clear. Due to work, I had to leave and trusted him to continue while my 17-year-old son was home. Instead of what was agreed upon, he plugged in everything, installed shock sensors with incorrect location labels, and pressured my son into signing a $3,000 credit card slip--after telling me the total would only be $1,200. Since then, they've withdrawn over $2,000 from my credit card, and now they're threatening to send me to collections unless I pay another $1,000. This is absolutely unethical. I've contacted my lawyer and plan to escalate this with ADT corporate to have Secure 24 removed from their dealer network. Please be careful. This company is not trustworthy. read more

Hideous experience all around. System worked properly for 2-3 months than continuously sent false alarms resulting in several visits from the Fire Department. Never could get these schmucks to come fix it so put system in test mode every month for 4 more months. We recently had our security system activated with ADT. The scheduling was convenient and we didn't feel pressured. The monthly cost seems a little high in my opinion but we did get cameras with night vision and all kinds of motion detection. The technician that came, Chris, was amazing, knowledgeable, efficient, and an overall nice guy. I would recommend ADT based on our experience so far. read more

Here's my factual and honest experience with Secure 24: 1. Talking with them is like dealing with a car saleman. 2. Although no one came to my home, I was put on a "dealer hold" without my knowledge. What this means is, if you get a better deal with someone else, you are stuck with Secure 24 for 30 days. 3. I tried to get them to release me from the "dealer hold", but they said there was nothing they could do. 4. Secure 24 service contract is higher than most ADT companies. In March 2024 I received a promotional ADT package through a different company, who contracted with Secure24 for installation and management. I was told at multiple points by both Secure24 and the other company that there would be a $99 fee that WOULD BE REBATED AFTER INSTALLATION. Installation goes fine, system works, no problem. I wait the 30 days for the rebate...no luck. I call Secure24 customer service, a rep states it can take 4-6 weeks for rebate to be processed. Fine. I wait 3 more weeks just to be safe, then call again. NOW a rep tells me that I somehow don't qualify for the rebate?? Due to *mumble mumble* extra equipment received during my installation. I ask what equipment, and they get really vague. Rep tells me they are putting in a ticket to their Accounting department, but not to get my hopes up. I ask when the Accounting department will be following up with me, and the rep straight up says "they won't." I ask when I can call again to resolve this, and rep says, "48 hours." I call AGAIN to this company 48 hours later, speak to a DIFFERENT rep who tells me the ticket has NOT been processed, gives me more of the 'well we used your rebate on extra equipment' BS, but REFUSES to give me numbers when I ask what the money was spent on. And on top of that he REFUSES to give me a timeline for resolution! I ask for an itemized list of equipment that has supposedly been installed that eats up my $99 rebate. He states it will come to me before EOD. I say that it's ridiculous that not only will this company not reach out to ME when it is THEIR PROBLEM, but that I have to keep chasing them for information. I am eventually transferred to their installation department, where no one can be bothered to pick up the phone. One day later, I still haven't received the itemized inventory list, I have no price breakdown for ANY of the equipment installed, and I am FED UP with these people who are, at the very LEAST, guilty of extremely shady business practices read more

One star is too many stars. Secure 24 has a serious customer care problem in that they are only open M - F, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Central time. If you have an issue within your first 90 days of installation, you're out of luck. If you try to escalate an issue, it will go nowhere and the Director of Installation, Kyle Homar, will not take your call. CEO Kevin Tihen is also unreachable and customer service will tell you they do not have his contact information. You will be stuck speaking with low-level supervisors who, while trying to be helpful, are not at all helpful. Bottom line, this is a very small group of people who do not seem to have the professional maturity or infrastructure to put customers first; they are not available to support after 6 p.m. or weekends. If Secure 24 is who ADT says they use as their installer, DON'T GO WITH ADT, FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Secure 24 is ADT's installation vendor in our area. Saturday, April 10, only 12 days after Secure 24 installed our ADT alarm we had a hardware malfunction. We were out of town for the weekend, thankfully, only a three hour drive away, because ADT said they could not re-boot the alarm because it was still under Secure 24's 90 day contract time. We called Secure 24 four times Saturday, leaving two panicked messages before I googled them to find out they are only open M - F Central time. We drove the three hours back to the house to spend 15 seconds fixing the problem with ADT on the phone. We called Secure 24 Monday morning (because they still had not called us) and spoke with CS Rep who was not aware that we had left two messages on Saturday but said she would escalate the issue. Five hours later, when we had not heard from anyone at Secure 24, we called again. Different CS Rep said he would escalate to his supervisor who was still on break for 20 minutes. Called ADT again and they said it was Secure 24's problem to fix, transferred us back to same CS Rep at Secure 24. A low-level supervisor finally called us to apologize but could not do anything to help (we had already fixed the issue Saturday) so we said we wanted to cancel the service. They said we could but would charge us the remaining 23 months of the contract. We reminded them that they had already violated the terms of the contract when they were not available to help us with an emergency on Saturday. We asked to speak to his supervisor (Director of Installations, Kyle Homar) but he was "in meetings" and going home at 6 p.m., like a professional leader in a customer-facing organization does (not ever do!). Kyle refused to take any of our calls. Basically, Kyle Homar hid from us and left his lower-level supervisor to deal with us. For your own safety, I was stay far, far away from Secure 24 as they do not seem to take customer care or safety very seriously. Why ADT is using them is a mystery but it says a lot about ADT that they have such unprofessional vendors operating in their name. read more

I accidentally tripped my alarm and it went off for a minute or two. I did not receive any call or follow up. I decided to cancel my service. I called corporate and was told my service was cancelled and that I needed to finalize cancellation with secure 24. I called secure 24 and spoke with a man who told me I would be charged for one more month and the. it would be cancelled. three months later I am being told my service is not cancelled and that I'll continue to be charged for 3 years. Jackie was very unprofessional and difficult to work with. Very unhappy with this service. Not only did no one respond when my alarm tripped but they continue to try to take my money for there poor service. read more

It's really pricey and a very long contract but I understand that coverage is overhead cost. What I have, works for what I need it for. I have people working in my house and they kept going out the back door and ADT called the last person to disarm the alarm to see if they were ok. So, far I'm pleased with their response time. EDIT TO ADD: The company did contact me and offered to issue a credit to my card for the promised $100 rebate, and they would void the check. I still haven't seen a check, so I'm not confident that one was ever actually cut. I'll update this review again if one does arrive to prove they didn't lie. Additionally, a credit was posted to the card used to pay for the Installation Fee, but it was not the promised $100. It was $99. Now, this may not seem like a big deal since I paid $99 for the installation. So, I suppose a 99% thanks is in order. But honesty goes a very long way with hard working folks who just want what was promised. In this case, I was promised up front that I would receive a $100 rebate for signing up and completing installation. I feel that dishonesty has been the policy with this company from the beginning. Had I known up front what a hassle it would be just for me to have to hold someone accountable for what they promised (just so that they could make a sale), I would have steered clear and gone with someone else. I cannot recommend this company because I do not know them to be honest enough to handle the sensitive issue of home security. As it is, I'm now stuck in a three year contract with this company paying over $50 a month. The alarm works just fine, but my confidence in their ability to take care of us is shot. If they are ever in the unfortunate circumstance of communicating a need on my behalf to first responders, I hope and pray they do the right thing. I guess time will tell. I stand by my review. Take one look at their social media. It will tell you all you need to know about who they care most about, and it's not the customers shelling out thousands of dollars over a three year span. Seriously, who vets them? For all I know they could be predators. The story: I was contacted by one of their agents who promised free installation and quoted me around 45 dollars a month. I heard of ADT, and I ignorantly trusted them. The agent said they would not charge me till I signed the contract. Guess what... I never signed a contract. Their agent dropped off the face of the earth. Did not call, write or answer any of my questions. So I forgot about them. He never contacted me again so we found another company for our security. Well guess what... they charged me two months later for $99! Where did they even get that price from? I never agreed to anything! Why should I pay them for a service I never asked for? When you have an agent who does not call back, write, etc... and you show up two months later to collect the bill? Avoid them. This has to be a scam. Secure24's customer service is terrible. I'm not entirely sure whether it's incompetence or an intentional runaround, but it seems intentional. It took months of hounding them to get two thirds of my promised rebate. I finally gave up on the last third. The people who pick up the phone have no answers and promise to call back, but never do. Managers are never available and never call back. When I did get answers, the story changed by the next call. I'm fairly certain they lied just to get me off the phone. Very poor service! Did not pay the rebate that they stated. Would not return phone calls. Was always told the rebate payment was being processed and it never showed. Only received a quarter of what they said was going to be rebated. Dylan the "supervisor" was always in a "meeting" and never followed up. When I finally got to his supervisor the guy was rude, didn't care what Dylan previously told me and and told me to call ADT CORP, then hung up!! My ADT agreement and rebate was through Secure 24. So, after months of being told the check was on the way and it never showed over and over again I gave up. Obviously they got my money and had me for a three year contract, so they no longer cared about following through with what they stated. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy and will not be using ADT OR SECURE 24 again. So disappointed with ADT. Not only at the end of our contract will I be cancelling our service, I will be making sure no one else has to deal with the deception. When we made the appt for a technition to come out I was told we would get 2 $100 visa gift cards. So after the install I asked about the Visa Card and was told that it's actually by mail-in rebate. After going on line I find out that it's $4.95 per gift card fee and you have to pay for a money order for the fee. Honestly if I would have known all the hoops we had to jump through for the rebate , I would have never signed up for ADT. I hate mail-I'm rebates. But, now 6 calls later I'm told to bad and there was nothing anyone could do. Even after I said that I felt I comfortable dealing with a company that plays word games and is deceptive. Especially dealing with a company that I'm suppose to "trust" and protect my family. Incredibly worthless company. They profit from fear of crime politics by inducing you to pay $50 per month for a service that purports to contact the police on your behalf. Their motion detecting alarms consistently falsely reported movement in my home, causing me to believe that my house was being broken into and the life of my pets were at risk. After receiving a call about detecting movement in my home and being asked whether I wanted to have the authorities contacted, there was never any follow up from either the police or the company. When I wanted to cancel their valueless service, they made me pay 75% of the value of my contract. No negotiation and no care for the mental stress they put me through leading me to want to cancel their service. To their credit, they were incredibly polite while they told me they wanted to pay over one thousand dollars for unearned services they would have provided if they hadn't put me in a position to want to cancel their services. Needed a home security system for my home. Called secure 24 and spoke to Jim, thier tech supervisor and scheduled an appointment with him. Jim told me someone would be out at my house first thing Saturday morning between 8-11. No one showed up, No one called to tell me my appointment had been canceled. Then I get a call Monday morning wanting to get me back on the schedule with no explanation on why they didn't show up. Terrible customer service. Don't waste your time with this company. No awareness of time zone differences (called at 6:30 AM). Lies - lots of them. They lied about a next-day consultation to get a $99 deposit from me. Then, after I gave them payment info, they changed the date to late the following week. And, then they called to let me know that my _installation_ was scheduled for that time and for the costlier of the options I had discussed with them, in spite of the fact that I was very clear about wanting to choose an option after _consultation_. I repeatedly tried to cancel well in advance of the installation date, but I kept getting confirmation that the installation was coming up. When I finally pinned someone down on the phone, they cancelled the installation and said that I would get my deposit back. They never refunded that. Avoid this company! read more

I entered into a contract with ADT and Secure 24 for security purposes in August 2016. By September 2016 I had already had to place three service calls due to security sensors falling off and stated that I would like to cancel my contract. I was informed that I would not be able to cancel my contract. By October I had place two more service calls and contacted ADT to resolve the issue. Per a three way phone conversation with ADT and Secure 24 an agreement was made to allow ADT and Secure 24 5 more service calls to resolve the situation. By May 2017 5 more service calls had been made and the sensors continued to fall off. Per a 3-way phone conversation via ADT and Secure 24, Brent Delbert agreed on a recorded line to release us from the contract with no penalty. However the next day he called me and informed me that he would not be able to release us from the contract and offered to drill holes into the hardwood of the home as a resolution. I explained that they had already had many opportunities to resolve the issue and had failed to provide me with any security services since the installation in August and I would not like to continue. I was then informed that despite the two recoded and documented agreements with ADT they would not be honoring those agreements and we would be forced to pay for services that do not work. read more
