I requested a moving quote through Yelp and heard back from several companies, but Spartan…read moreimmediately stood out because they were the most communicative from the start. Since I live alone, it was important to hire a company I could truly rely on. The owner, Christie, offered to come to my home to provide an accurate quote, which I really appreciated. Their pricing was very fair. On moving day, the crew arrived right on time and had no issue making an additional stop at my storage unit. They were friendly, extremely hardworking, and incredibly fast. They also took extra care while loading and unloading, making sure my furniture and belongings were protected and handled properly. Even with a long day that included a three-hour drive to a rural location, they arrived on schedule and maintained their energy the entire time. Everything arrived intact and was unloaded exactly as requested. I was very pleased with Spartan's service and I would absolutely use them again.

Monica says to Rachel, "I gave you one job." - "Friends"…read more Actually, my move involved multiple jobs but arguably one of the most important ones Spartan failed at. Initial communication was very promising. They had a solid price (I obtained multiple quotes), could do it on the day I needed it (which was evolving because of escrow close) and stated they had their "A-Team" available for my move. We ended up booking them for a March move which involved moving a townhome plus a 3 - 4 bedroom sized storage unit (10x20 efficiently packed)! Originally they seemed to understand the requirements as they brought two trucks but one truck was a 20 footer which turned out to be a tad too small. We ended up making multiple trips in our car to offset. Team was on time and did a solid job with the first part of the move. So far so good. But, I think they realized after taking lunch they were a bit behind and so when they arrived at the house started double timing, not always efficiently. To be fair, taking apart the Murphy bed at the new house cost some time but we needed the space for one of the king beds. Boxes we told them to place in garage but we had to tell them to leave spaces to walk in between. First attempt was just placing all the boxes together like a storage unit. Upstairs, we noticed some scratches all the floor when I had mentioned all through the process starting with bidding that we had wooden floors and please have experience at keeping the floors undamaged. They put the furniture together, helped out with trash pickup and I gave each mover $80 tip. That was a solid tip for an all day, three location move. But it might have been too much. From the beginning the master king bed just felt "off". Lopsided almost. We thought it was the mattress, and that we had to rotate and move the mattress. Nope. The bed wasn't re-assembled correctly. The slats were not properly reinforced in the center and the wood bent, buckled, and finally snapped. See photos. So I waited on this review, until we opened all the boxes, and I am glad I did as our bed crashed. In the end, cannot recommend this local outfit. My national mover that brought me back to S Cal did a far more professional job, even these Murrieta movers said "Wow, those guys stacked your stuff so well in the storage unit". I wish I had used them again for this move. Not recommended.

Always Ready Movers - Moving day! Ramps and paddings by ARM team!

We recently moved from a 4 bed 3 bath house to a different city. We looked for movers via Yelp…read moresince I can get multiple quotes from moving companies in one spot. That's when I came across Always Ready Movers. I was then in contact with Isaac. I appreciated that he was not pushy after I received the quote. There were some movers that would call me at least 2-3x a day and it was just a turn off. We decided to go with ARM because of their competitive price. So leading up to the big day, Isaac sent me the invoice and we had to put a deposit down to secure the move date. No problem there. I texted him to confirm the day before and he confirmed back via text the same day. The day of the move, he texted that he was 30 mins out. Isaac came at 9 am with 2 other movers and a 26 ft U-Haul. They did a quick walk to look at what needs to be moved, and then quickly set up their stuff and wrap furnitures, and did their thing. As the day progresses, our stuff seemed like not all of our stuff could be fitted into the truck. We had told them that furnitures were our priority if the truck could not fit all of the stuff. They re assured me that everything could go in there. Well, that's not really the case, there were some furnitures that needed to stay behind :/ we obiously wasn't too thrilled about it. BUT it is what it is. We didn't head out to the new location until about 3 pm. So it took 7 hours alone just to load up everything into the truck. I know that a lot of stuff were disassembled and things needed to be wrapped just to be safe, but it took way longer than what I anticipated. It took one hour to drive to the new location. Then it took more time in the new location to set up everything, unload, and just making sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the day, it took a full 12 hours for the whole move. I did appreciate Isaac and his team making sure that everything was in order and wrapped up, it sucks that we couldn't move everything, but their price is competitive. I just wished the move would have taken less time.

PDQ Movers and Deliveries were outstanding. Travis, Devin, and his team were the hardest working…read moreguys. They were very respectful and carefully handled every item of the move. Everyone was especially polite and friendly, too. We had sold a house and took a lot of time researching moving companies, for the move from the IE to OC. We spoke with Travis who quoted us and explained the moving process. He was professional and good to speak with. The time he estimated (8 hours) and the cost to complete the move all proved to be 100% accurate. Devin and his team (two younger guys) arrived right on time, the day of the move. They worked so hard. All of us were extremely impressed by how hard working and dedicated the three of them were. I never saw them do anything but work. When they needed to use the restroom, for example, they were incredibly polite about it as well. They moved an entire house full of furniture without a single ding or scratch anywhere. When the refrigerator/washer-dryer wouldn't fit through our back door, they unscrewed the door off, and were able to carefully get it through. They then put everything back together with no issues. For the final part of the move, they had organized the truck so that the first half could go into a storage unit. We knew they were trustworthy and let them handle that on their own. They got everything to fit into storage in a clean and well ordered manner. I could not have ever done it better than they had. They finished the move by taking the final items to our home. We have three flights of narrow stairs (townhouse) and they were able to get everything upstairs without issue. Some of the items were extremely heavy and could of easily broken or hit the walls etc. They were really careful with everything and even put the stuff together once they were done (bed frames, mattresses, etc.). They did all of this work on the day before Thanksgiving, too. It had been raining heavy all day as well. They covered everything and nothing got wet either. To note, we supplied our own boxes (we didn't expect them to provide boxes for us, since I saw how one other reviewer here dinged them for that, which is unfair considering how expensive boxes are). We also had emptied out all of the drawers, cabinets, and shelves ahead of time, into boxes that were taped and ready to go. We didn't want to waste their time or our time with that stuff, so that they could focus on getting the heavy items/boxes into the truck - to save my spine the pain. All in all, it was a great experience working with them. I highly recommend them. They're honest, hardworking, and professional.

My primary concern was damage to a $3,500 dining table during a move of only 1.4 miles. I reported the damage to the delivery crew before they left and submitted photographs to the company coordinator that same day, August 6. I followed up twice in the days following the move and was eventually informed that the company's liability coverage is limited to $0.60 per pound. I was also told that they would arrange for someone to assess or repair the table. As of today, I have received no further communication or update regarding the repair. Given the value of the damaged item and the extremely short distance of the move, I am disappointed with how the claim has been handled, particularly the lack of follow-up and communication. There is also another matter that I find particularly concerning. During the unpacking, one of the movers commented three separate times about my bicycle, saying that he "would love to have that bike" and asking whether I would give it to him. I laughed and explained that the bicycle had two flat tires. The following day, after I had moved into the house, the bicycle was stolen from my backyard. What makes the situation especially troubling is that the bicycle had been covered by a tarp, both tires were flat, and the rear wheel was chained to the frame. Very few people knew the bicycle was even there. Additionally, that sane night the car was unintentionally left unlocked, and there were other items in the backyard, including tarps covering tools and a large toolbox. None of those items were disturbed. I want to be clear that I have no direct evidence connecting the mover or the company to the theft, and I am not making that accusation. However, the timing and circumstances are concerning, particularly given the repeated comments the mover made about the bicycle. Overall, my experience has been disappointing--not only because of the property damage, but also because of the lack of communication afterward and the circumstances surrounding the stolen bicycle. Perhaps the Palm Springs operation has a different approach to customer service and accountability than other locations within the company. Based on my experience, however, I would recommend that customers carefully consider these issues before choosing this moving company.
