I would highly recommend using this business. I recently moved from CA to WA and had another moving company lined up. Long story short when they arrived the original terms had changed and they wanted more money and were estimating a longer delivery time, needless to say I canceled them on the spot and am now fighting to get my $1,000 deposit back. They were less expensive than all the other ones that I had tried for an estimate. So I used them. Ray and his friends arrived early on the morning that they said they would, and picked up the furniture etc. and delivered it promptly the next day in Milpitas, which is up near San Jose, nothing was broken, nothing was scratched. I'm torn on this review. The owner, Ray, is super sweet and was really attentive and prompt in corresponding. He gave me an estimate and answered my questions. The issues began with the day of the move. The movers were an hour late, I have a message saying they would be there at 11:00, they arrived at noon. In addition, one of the movers was very abrasive and upset that my partner and I did not dismantle all our furniture for the move. (Something they proudly advertise they do). In addition, they did not have the proper equipment so it took 3 hours to move all packed up boxes for a 2bd, 800sqft apartment into their truck. Lastly, one of the men was in an argument with his girlfriend and kept getting on the phone to yell at her, so really only one mover was working. When they finally arrived at our new home, we just had them unload the majority of the item into the main entrance due to the fact that we were now on our fifth hour. Once they left we noticed that a few of our items were damaged. Oh and to top of off, they charge a 4% card fee, so unless you have $600 cash on you, your going to pay extra. Overall, if I could I would go back and use another more professional company. read more

Honestly, I was only moving one item - an elliptical - and my space was almost too small but these guys were ON IT, super communicative with each other, and were able to finagle it through the doors and out on my balcony in no time at all. They should have six stars for those companies that go above and beyond. This would be the one and only company I would give it to. Ray was helpful from the beginning. I found them on Craig's list. I have been cautious of using companies from that site but quickly realized Ray was quick to return responses and questions. He was flexible with my needs since we're were buying a house and the closing date was a moving target. When we nailed down the moving date I was told by U-Haul they would be here at 9 am. U-HAUL hadn't got anything right from the beginning and he told me to just text him when they arrived the house. Fortunately, they were on time and I sent a text to Ray and his people were he in 15 minutes! These guys were friendly, amiable to our needs and kept telling me they were here to work and that's just what they did. 3 hours later they had 8 pods unloaded and in the house. They set up what I asked them without hesitation and did it smiling the whole time. I cannot say enough or give them enough kudos on the great work they did. These guys are FANTASTIC!! My hero's on a Friday afternoon!! I had scheduled another moving company to unload a pod into an office. The pod could only stay in the lot 24hrs. Well-long story short--this other company (who has the audacity to advertise themselves as 'working with love and care') was a no show. Didnt answer my calls--didnt answer my texts. Really? Are you kidding me?! At 3pm on a Friday--with the pod being picked up at 8am the next morning--I was about to melt into panic... But R&J Saved the Day!!!!!! Ray & Chris were to my place within 30 minutes of my call. They were fast, efficient, very pleasant to deal with and took care to move my stuff. Total rockstars!!!! ZERO STARS SHOULD BE GIVEN They overcharged me for THEIR estimating mistake on the size of the truck/hours needed to move my house. They LIED to me about charging me for extra gas for their dually/trailer that would have completed the move. They BROKE several of my possessions including but not limited to: craftsman tool chest--ripped the top completely off of the bottom cabinet, broke the wheel off of my shop vac, and handed me a piece of my antique furniture. I had been explicitly clear about which pieces needed extra care, and they blatantly ignored the request. THEY DIDN'T COMPLETE THE MOVE--left me and my wife w/ multiple truck loads to move ourselves. THEY WON'T REIMBURSE me for my broken items. I spoke to Ray the morning after the move letting him know how disappointed I was w/ the service, told him the ball was in his court, and he needed t make it right. His only response "I'll talk to my guy about it, because he didn't call me to tell me he broke anything." You'll talk to your guy? What is that supposed to do? Will it un-break my property? Will it undo the BLATANT LIE that your crew member told me regarding the extra cost of the truck/gas/trailer? Will it complete the move that you didn't do? The answer to all of those questions is a firm and resounding NO! My wife and I spent hours before the move labeling boxes fragile and heavy to make the loading of the truck easier on them. They then proceeded to stack the Heavy boxes, on the fragile boxes....hmmmmmm what could possibly happen there. Bottom line is this...the owner is a snake and won't refund any money even after admitting his crew lied, and knowing full well that the move wasn't completed. If you're considering these guys for an upcoming move, DON'T. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I will tell you all what I told Ray. 2 of his crew members worked hard and were polite. The best part about all of this, is after knowingly doing a piss-poor job of moving me, one guy had the audacity to ask me for a yelp review. So here it is. You're Welcome. read more

Tetris Masters!!!! Ray responded to my urgent call and sent James and Zeke within 30 minutes. They unloaded my 2 pods in half the time expected. Ray arrived at least a half hour early for my appointment to give me a detailed estimate to move that he said would require three men for four hours, the truck, gas, and travel time. Having moved a number of times, I thought the price was fair and booked a time and date for the move. I confirmed with them the day before and said they could come early if their schedule permitted. They arrived an hour early and wasted no time moving everything out of my four level condominium, which took two hours. When they arrived at my new home, a fourth man was there to help, and everything was unloaded and placed at no extra charge. I appreciated their professionalism and the care they took to move my things as if they were theirs. If they maintain the level of service I was provided, I would certainly call them again if I need to move in the future, and will definitely recommend them for their ability and reasonable cost. Like the reviews stated they are very nice on the phone, however once we got into insurances and move licensing they became very evasive. They said they have insurance but could'nt offer me any additional valuation coverage for my belongings,(RED FLAG) then when it came to there state permit number they came to a blank...... All that being nice went out the window.. Customer beware.."not properly licensed. UPDATE ON THIS COMPANY.. I just received a message from "Ray" calling me a "scammer" . Ray and his awesome crew helped us move out of our 2,100 sqft house today and put everything in a 10x20 storage unit - all in only 5.5 hours including packing and moving a piano. Please do not hire them the bill went up 10 times from their original quote and we have to recover what is missing. They are not licensed and not insured. When we called the Cathedral City police to check if they (RJ) have a record or if they knew anything about them the police stated to us that is why the term "con man" is what it is.
