He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

He was not pushy or had sales tactic behind it and appreciated that. Provided me a pamphlet and some info about frenchies, since this is our first, and what to note about the breed. With some research, I thought it would be a great learning tool for myself and son to do with our new pup and signed up for Sebastian's class. We just finished our first 6wk puppy class. We put in the dedication and time with training and we are on to our next intermediate training. He gently reminded me to allow my son to make the calls during training and not for me to interfere to build his confidence. I appreciated that because sometimes I helicopter and want him to do correctly but need to know kids learn through trying and mistakes. We can't wait for our next class to begin towards the end of this month. We love our pup and it's been a fun building experience and exercise !
