We recently got a puppy and have been taking the training classes with Sebastian. I had originally met Sebastian during my first visit with our pup and he casually talked about his training and services within PetSmart. He was not pushy or had sales tactic behind it and appreciated that. Provided me a pamphlet and some info about frenchies, since this is our first, and what to note about the breed. With some research, I thought it would be a great learning tool for myself and son to do with our new pup and signed up for Sebastian's class. We just finished our first 6wk puppy class. We put in the dedication and time with training and we are on to our next intermediate training. He gently reminded me to allow my son to make the calls during training and not for me to interfere to build his confidence. I appreciated that because sometimes I helicopter and want him to do correctly but need to know kids learn through trying and mistakes. We can't wait for our next class to begin towards the end of this month. We love our pup and it's been a fun building experience and exercise ! read more

Service is fine, but I've noticed the pet food they sell expires soon. These products last months, so they should really check the dates. It's bad for the pets to eat old food, and owners waste money because pets won't touch expired food anyway. read more

I believe the low scores are based on the groomers. This I can't comment on because we have a cat. I came in to pick up some Applaws cat food. If you are looking for a brand that doesn't make your cat's litter box stink, go with this brand. Chili loves the loins. She's such an animal. There is a rewards program. Use it. I got an additional $2 off and didn't realize I had it in my account. I'm happy and Chili will be very happy. read more

A few days ago, I stopped by this PetSmart to check out the aquarium sets. I have always loved the peacefulness of seeing fish swimming in a beautiful aquarium. They have a large selection of them, where you can choose based on the amount of gallons of water you put in. The prices were not bad and the options were plenty. They also have lots of little fish that you can buy right on the spot for easy shopping. read more

When you need something for your pet, please shop local and go to the very nice and helpful people at Petsmart. If you're apprehensive about in store shopping, they do offer curbside contact-free pickup. They are extremely conscientious about Covid-19 compliance with a hand cleaning station that is right in the middle of the main shopping aisle. You may save a few bucks on line but when you need something right now; Petsmart and other local pet stores are always there. The store assistant was helpful and friendly and I found what I wanted very quickly. The best part about Petsmart is their return policy. They really stand behind their products. They have an online store if you like the convenience of shopping in your pjs. However, after a few months of staying inside, I really like going out shopping even with socially distanced lines. read more

I had an appointment, I was 15 minutes late due to an accident. They cancelled my appointment. They claim they called me and left a message but that never happened, I have no miss call and no messages. They lost my business and a client that spend with them More than 500$ a month. It's huge and with more pet stuff than I ever thought existed. What a particularly like about PetSmart are all the pet toys that as gifts always bring about a wagging tail and a pawing kiss. I found the staff to be professional as well as, surprisingly to me, most pet knowledgeable. It's also bright and clean. The only downside to me was pricing. For what you get and the quality of what you get, they were pretty high. At $16.00 I'll use one of my old boat lines or a string for a leash; until I can find better. Was in the area and thought I would pick up Christmas presents for my three cats. It has been a stressful year especially for them as they have to deal with me working for home everyday. It's one thing that they get treats regularly but they need fun just as much as the rest of us. Decided on three toys, one for each. I chose a tunnel you would climb through which makes a crinkle noisy and lights up. Next a round piece of fabric that has a battery operated feather wave a feather underneath. Lastly a non battery operated toy has a white feather, crinkles and the cats can hug and have close to their bodies. They were excited at first now they ignore the toys. I am sure once the tree is down and January is quiet they will be happy to have a little fun. Nice selection at this store as well as they do pet grooming. Normally I do the curbside service, today I went I to pick up my on line order and immediately noticed 10 people in line at 1 register, socially distanced this stretched more than halfway down the store. One lonely cashier taking care of several online orders and this crazy line, the manager walked by me and would not even acknowledge the craziness or me waiting by the pick up area. The cashier did a great job acknowledging and helping me in-between his insane line. The manager should be ashamed, (10-7-20 at 545pm,) when I walked out, I noticed him stocking product on the side of an aisle. He should be taught the importance of customer service and helping his employees in need. read more

Wanted to buy some products for my new puppy im getting soon. There are representatives in any department to ask about produckt to buy for new puppies. I was there for 30 minutes and did not see one employee to help me with anything. I was planning on loading up on supplies , food and wanted to ask about weekly training sessions but realized this is not where i would bring my 10 week old puppy. Didnt by food , couldnt find antibite puppy repellent or teathing bones or a small enclosure. The store lost over $200 in business due to lack of customer service. I did get help with a gentleman with a ponytail who helped me customize a dog tag after i paid. I will not be spending anymore money at this store in pompano mall. Half the stores in that mall are going out of business due to a lack of interest in customer satisfaction. I will never go back to Petsmart. I could have got the same things at walmart for half the price. Whats the point of going to a brick and mortar store with noone to ask questions. Ill order online or try a different pet store. I've had my dog groomed there twice--the first time was incredible however the groomer appears to no longer work there. The second time there with a new groomer there is a huge bald patch on my Samoyed. It's right by his tail where I know there are no matts. Feeling very disappointed and after this experience I will not be back. It's a shame--I've been to many different petsmarts around the country and have yet to encounter problem. read more

The groomers here are terrible. They do not have experience grooming dogs at all. No matter the scenario, they will shave your dog because they are lazy and don't want to work. They butcher the cuts and the dogs are uneven and they don't even put bows in the girls' hair like they do at other locations. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! read more

Petsmart has all of your pet necessities and then some. They also have a pet clinic and groomer on site. The offer a pet perks card which can save you $ on items in the store. The pet perks card is worth it because their prices tend to be higher than other retailers. I have always had a positive experience at this particular petsmart. read more

The people who work here are very nice and can be very helpful. The prices here are pretty high though. I was surprised how expensive the medical treatment was too. I had been looking around for a place to do some TNR with some feral kittens. This definitely is not the place to do that but they did give me some helpful leads for businesses who specialize in it. The sales people and hospital people seem genuinely engaged so I really appreciated that. They had some really cute kittens for adoption too at a very reasonable adoption fee of fifty dollars. So I guess everything is not too high priced here. Rescuing a kitten your self and getting it spayed and vaccinated can cost ten times this or higher. They do have a decent collection of pet beds and trees and some are decently priced. I have bought one here before and been satisfied. The last time I was here I wanted a pet brush and the price was about twice as much as I could get it for same day delivery on amazon. Also, they only had one person working the cashier and there was a line of at least 12 people long or more. I ended up ordering online while I was still in the store and just left. read more

This is my last visit to PetSmart Groomers. Quinn, my scheduled groomer, arrived 15 mins late and never even said sorry for the wait. He then charged me extra fees because he said Friday is a "weekend" , which it isn't. He said PetSmart charges more for weekends... corporate greed but Sat and Sun are weekend days not Friday morning. Do restaurants charge more on weekends? Grocery stores? Gas stations? No. Then my pups were not groomed the way I asked and when I explained I had been coming here for seven years and these cuts are not right, he debated that is the way I ordered it instead of saying that he'd be happy to cut their hair a little shorter and would be happy to get it right. I just left, not a friendly at atmosphere. Never going back. Avoid this Corp greed store plus their groomers quit, change and turnover as often as I change my underwear. read more

(time: July 8th; 1145am). she had the audacity to say: "So you want to set an appointment today so you can stop canceling appointments?" Very sarcastically. don't know who this chick is, but apparently she's had a rough week. can't find good, pleasant, employees anymore. if the owner is reading this, check your schedule for who was working at the time I mentioned. This PetSmart is exactly as you would expect with the wide array of pet supplies plus the grooming services. In addition, on this Saturday, there were shelter cats to select from in the entry area. I wish I could bring another home but not today. I was looking for specific kitty toys as a gift from my new grandkitty. As I approached the isle, there was actually an employee assisting another customer. She was very pleasant and helpful as I watched and she answered my question. As this is not the case in many retail businesses. It was very good. The store was clean and busy... all pluses. Happy shopping! read more

I used the grooming services here about five years ago and they were terrible. The associates were snarky and they actually complained that my puppy was "too active". Of course, I never went back. I decided to give them another try in August of 2022 with my Mini Whoodle and I am SO glad I did. The ladies in the grooming department were so lovely and my dog never looked better and actually seemed happy when I picked her up. I was so impressed that I brought my second pup, who is a very timid Cocker Spaniel, in just yesterday and they were equally as impressive. Kori groomer both of my dogs (she is a true grooming artist), but I saw the other groomers at work and they were all impressive. Whatever you did to get these great employees, Petsmart, keep doing it! As long as they are there to groom my pups, I will be coming back to groom and shop and maybe even use your Vet services. I've been going to this vet since I moved here 4 years ago. Today I brought my dog in for her "teeth cleaning" they have insisted on her having the teeth cleaning on every single other unrelated visit I've ever been on since they created the "wellness plan" they push so hard to get on their wellness plan when you are there for anything else unrelated. I took her in this morning at 7:55am. The assistant told me the procedure would be very quick "15 minutes" but that "they want to make sure they give you back the same pet you left I called them around 1pm to check the status of my baby. They said she "wasn't finished yet" I called again two hours later "wasn't finished yet"....I started to become worried at 3:30pm...They then called my husbands number to tell him "she was ready". He went up there to get her. They hadn't even begun the procedure. We learned she was crated all day. We have never crated her ever. I was furious she had been crated 8 hours. I said stop it all together. They called me 15 minutes later to say she was already medicated up. Clearly trying to hurry her into anesthesia. We picked her up without moving forward with the procedure because I lost my trust in them. I've never seen my dog this drugged up and with post traumatic stress. She's been crying nonstop and doesn't event recognize us. Please do not take your baby here. All they care about it money. read more

The two Groomer gals were super sweet! Took less than a hour to complete full service on a hyper -deaf- very vocal frenchie who usually serves big drama when getting her nails clipped but actually never looked better now! One of the girls maybe was new-er but she did a good job selling me a few extra passes for the future at a good discount! My pup was so comfy she didn't even budge when I walked in to pick her up- just super content hangin w the girls! Loved it! read more

After having a first bad unprofessional experience at this grooming salon. I reached out to customer service and was contacted by the manager of this store and she did try to fix everything and make everything right for me. Because of my first awful experience the manager schedule me another dog grooming appointment and wanted me to go to the Yisset, which I believe is the manager for the salon. She did do a good job on his bath and I took my dog back there and he was groomed by Katelyn. Katelyn did a good job on his bath as well. I can say that the customer service can improved a bit in this salon.. I feel like they don't do a good welcoming when you enter in. When I took my dog there for his second bath. I was shown a paper with additional add ons to his bath. The groomer recommended the Chi Shampoo bath for his coat which was an extra $21 as well as the nail grinding which was an extra $13. I decided to decline those add ons and wanted my dog to get a regular bath. When I picked him up, I was told that my dog had some ticks & fleas and he was given a flea bath. When I got to the register I ended up paying $39.99 for his bath. I honestly felt like someone should've contacted me and told me they found fleas & ticks and do I want him a flea bath and it will be extra. I don't like that they just voluntarily did it without first discussing with me and I was charged. What if all I had was the money for my dog a regular bath? That's why I felt like they should've contacted me before proceeding. Besides that I was pleased with the results and I like how his coat was super soft and they was able to comb out his matts. I also like how Pet Smart grooming takes a picture of your dog finish touch and send it to you. Thats pretty cool! The prices to me is high in my opinion but I will pay it because it seem like this salon does good work. But they do need some slight improvement in other areas. read more

I usually go to PetsPlus to get my dogs nails cut, but I decided I'll try PetsMart since I moved over here. NEVER GOING AGAIN. They were working on dogs, so I waited patiently... and honestly not for that long. Maybe 10 minutes. She comes over and says my dogs need rabies papers, so calls my vet. One of my dogs rabies papers expired EIGHT DAYS AGO and they won't cut her nails. I get if it's been a long time or she's never had it done... but 8 days? It's ridiculous. My dogs don't even bite. I've taken them to PetsPlus sooo many times and not once did they bite any of the people and will not. I think it's absurd that they won't cut her nails because of an 8 day expiration. From now on, I will drive to PetsPlus, regardless of how inconvenient the drive is. Oh, and they don't seem like pet people. I get the little tiny dog put his finger or fist in his mouth and didn't bite down... but you don't need to sit there and try and scold him like he's your dog. Just say no and that's it. No, she didn't hit him. But her tone was as if it's her dog. Avoid this place. read more

My puppies appointment for the groomers was for 10am but the groomer did not arrive until 30 mins later . She kept my dog for a while which wasn't a problem , but when I went to pick my puppy up she tacked on an extra $50 . The puppy package is $30 & if she was charging for the regular price for older dogs... that's $50 . So why am I paying $80 . On top of that , the cut was horrible . My pups facial hair was very uneven & botched . Never going back . I do not recommend . You would be better off going to a small business . read more

Made an appointment to have my dog groomed. They cancelled my appointment day of as they said there was no water in the building and rescheduled me for the following day Saturday at 4:30 pm. I show up and after doing all the paperwork they say they will call me when he's ready. I said no I will wait I want to watch he's very old. She says we won't be done with him for 3.5 to 4 hours. Why would I make an appointment if they will keep him for 4 hours. I'm going to wait in the pet shop until 8:30 Saturday night for a 4:30 appointment? Walked out. Really poor service. read more

This is the best place to get your dog groomed. My dog doesn't like anyone so I was nervous to bring him somewhere new...Not only did they do a great job , he loved all the groomers here ! They're very thorough & he looked absolutely perfect ! I have a Pomeranian & am very particular . He's never looked better ! Will be back !! I would no suggest using their grooming services as they tack on surprise charges when you pick-up your pet. It is very disappointing as this is a large corporate store and we have never had this problem at other Petsmarts. They fought with me over the addition $15 charge on top of the original $55 grooming charge. For this reason we will not return to this location in the future. read more
