I think the place is legit, I have not shopped anywhere else, but from what I can tell. Scott is very straight forward, I just had a question about resetting the combination on my mechanical lock in my vault. Perhaps I will find out more when they deliver tomorrow, I do not understand the bad reviews posted by people nick picking $1.50 or even a hundred dollars. Every business has their own rate and their own way of charging for their item or service. If you don't like the price, Don't use them, but let's not bash them on yelp for a dollar. Our car was broken into at the Safeco Garage on the 30th during the Seahawks game. One of the things taken was my key ring, which had 10 keys on it, 2 being house keys. Just to be safe, wanted to have the locks rekeyed... contacted Angie's List and Security Safe & Lock was the first listed. They said that that we were not in our area, as they are in Bellevue, and we are in Snohomish. When you put in a zip code, and the companies come up, you would think the zip code input would take care of that, so that's something that they might need to look at,...however.... one tech was farther North, and was here at the house within about an hour. Very professional, and I felt the price was totally fair. To the people that said they were too expensive.... service call fee, so much a rekey which was 6 was only $267. Totally fair! If there were a quarter star to select I prefer that. I had a horrible experience in this place. Worst customer service, crazy price. I bought the raw car key and want to make it as my spare car key. The kid working there is not professional at all, He even doesn't know how to talk to people and I paid $42.90 for just making a simple key with my raw key and no programming just a simple key and guess what, The key had a sharp edges and I asked him and he turns his eyes and said that's not a problem. Key didn't work and I had to back to store and ask his supervisor to fix it, His supervisor was a nice guy and he said He should tell you about the price before he made it. I mentioned to the guy please notify his manager how up said and disappointed I am and I do not recommend to anybody to go this place at all. read more

I just recently changed a mailbox lock . I was charged $127 plus the cost of the lock. Later I compared price with other locksmith businesses around Bellevue. The Main Street locksmith service by 60% overpriced. I could pay $54 plus cost of the lock if I called other companies. read more

This place saved my day. Amazing customer service - went in with a broken Lexus key and a couple blanks I had bought online that definitely did not work after they were cut b/c of the quality. They tried cutting it for me and filing it down, and when that didn't work - got me all set up with one of their keys. For WAY less than what it would be at the Lexus dealership (quoted $350) and they were super quick. Really appreciative when I run into great customer service like this. I was really disappointed with the charge and service, I went to the store to get 2 copies of a key, went there yesterday around 5pm, they told me they are closing, I asked how much to make a key with the key in my hand, was told $2.5 each. Today went there to make 2 copies, the charges became $3.95 each. It's not about the $1.5 difference, the store should be honest and honor the quoted price. The company responded to my email with an estimate of the costs, but also with a suggestion for a simpler fix that might solve the problem. And IT DID. Love these guys. Was in today to have a weird key cut (strange European key for some luggage, and I had a blank with me.) I had another locksmith nearby who turned down the work, claiming "my machine says it's not the same blank". No kidding...but the keyway is close enough that when you cut it, it'll work. And of course, this key was way behind what the Orange big-box hardware store has ever seen. These guys stepped right up and cut it for me, and made me another copy as well onto one of their blanks. And it was reasonable ($10). I've purchased mailboxes from them in the past, a gun safe (which they delivered and bolted to the concrete floor for me), and other keys. Always a top notch place to do business with...always done right, the first time. No, they're not the cheapest. But you pay for knowledge, experience, inventory availability, and service, and when you make the tradeoff, you'll find these guys know their stuff. read more

We had an internal keyed door in our house that the lock stopped working on. The problem, the presents for Christmas were behind that door in the storage room and it was the 23rd. Called and left a message on their answering machine, they called us back first thing when they got it. Jesse (sp?) was there in an hour (this wasn't an immediate emergency), picked the lock in 10 minutes and access was regained.
