Suspend your disbelief and embrace the Vortex! A fun shop with a friendly staff. You don't have to fully embrace everything Sedona to enjoy a visit here. Sometimes a necklace with a colorful stone is just a necklace with a colorful stone. Unless it's something more! As one member of our party stated, "Yes, I believe. I believe in the placebo effect!!" We enjoyed looking over the vast array of stones available for sale, complete with explanations of each stone's significance. On this particular day, we took advantage of a small free gift offer from the Yelp app, which the staff cheerily honored even before it was apparent that we were going to make a purchase or two as well. A variety of services, from massages to psychic readings, are available. We cannot speak to the quality of these services since we didn't experience them, but the offerings seemed interesting and diverse. It is Sedona, so the pricing of some items is a bit aggressive, but nothing out of the ordinary for a high volume tourist area. It was nice that a free gift was offered through Yelp. Thank you Yelp. I'm so pleased with our experience we had at Sedona crystal vortex. My sister and cousin from out of town came to visit and as my best friend and I were showing them around Sedona, we stopped among various shops including this one. There were many stones and rocks to choose from and they all have little notes by them telling us what they all do or mean. I was interested in a few selection I found to be interesting. We noticed there was a free offer on Yelp if we checked in. My best friend and I checked in and asked the ladies about the free offer with the intentions of giving the free item to my sister and cousin for a souvenir but the ladies were so nice they helped us out and let all of us each pick a free stone from the Yelp offer! It was a nice souvenir for them while visiting Sedona and a nice souvenir for us as well! It made my sister and cousin extremely happy that they are now too Yelpers! read more

This is the coolest, best priced, and friendliest rock shop in Arizona. We would make trips just to visit the store. I used to go in there all the time with my girlfriend, and tiny dog before we moved out of state. All the staff in both locations are super friendly and fun to talk with. I used to go out around the area and hunt local gems and minerals. Then I would come back and the staff would help identify them. That became a new hobby. We wish there were more locations across the country. May have to visit AZ soon just to come to the store. read more

They have a great crystal collection but I just couldn't justify spending anymore money here after I paid for a phony reading. It was my first reading experience but I had done lots of research beforehand. She started out by asking my full name and birthdate. Maybe she assumed that I wasn't familiar with my astrology sun sign, but I am. Everything she told me was basic knowledge for my astrological sun sign. The name says it all: SEDONA. CRYSTAL. VORTEX. This was basically the itinerary for our annual girls' trip. Honestly, the logo is what really drew me in. A pyramid on an intense vertical perspective a la a 70's game show/Star Wars opening credits tilt. We strolled around reading the cards in the uber organized trays of crystals. Each little lucite container of reasonably priced rocks had its own card with a detailed description of spiritual healing. A slight fairy-of-a-woman or woman-of-a-fairy with a falsetto voice snuck up behind me and asked if we needed help ...in more ways she knew... We finally settled on opalite (me) and bismuth (my best friend Whitney). I choose the clear rainbow/iridescent rock because it was the shape of my small toe. Smooth, but slightly triangular. Now deemed "topalite." Holy shit, bismuth?! Who knew that existed? It's INSANE what nature can create. It's looks like a metallic hot pink miniature model of set of the 1986 cult classic, The Labyrinth. It's also an active ingredient in Pepto Bismol and soothes stomach strife. Dammit!! Why didn't I get some!? Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't live with my regrets of not buying bismuth. I'm also sad I didn't get an aura photo. Very happy we found this shop. The ladies were incredibly patient and kind as they helped my son choose stones to make a necklace for his sister. They had SO many stones and other items from which to choose. We bought a few items and would go back again, mainly due to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. read more

Really cool place, one you have to stop by if you are visiting Sedona! I wanted to get aura photos done but came in a little too late (so if you want them done come more than 30 minutes before closing!). Instead my boyfriend and I were offered a couples reading with Gina; it was really incredible and we got a lot out of it. Weellllll, there are psychics and then there are psychics. After walking all around Sedona, I figured the best place to go would be somewhere off the beaten path. Except, Sedona's fairly small and everything seems to be on the main drag. I rejected a few places featuring psychics wearing flowing hippie clothes and decided this place with European women owners might be a bit more what we wanted. Plus, they have an aura photo machine and I love those. But golly, it was $30 for a picture! Another shop wanted only $15 for one. Hmm. Oh wait, they have a special...reading plus aura photo for $60. Okay, that's still not worth it because a 15 minute reading is $35. Guess what I went with? My two friends went first while I toured the place and looked over the expensive rock jewelry and thought about surprising my friend with some gaudy goldstone earrings since she seemed to like the glittery rocks so much but the $$$ price tag put me off a bit. There's a massage room (where they also have a deal on a massage and reading) where you can try on clothes, a water cooler by the two chairs near the psychic's room and lots of spiritual books. I'm not going to get into how I don't really believe in the mumble jumble but I'm not exactly a novice when it comes to tarot cards. Which until I got into the reader's room did I know the 15-minute reading would be. For some reason, I expected a crystal ball or something. So, I shuffled my cards thinking about my question (the reader didn't tell us to do this, I just know I should be doing that) and when she came back into the room, laid out the cards I chose in a modified spread. She was immediately surprised by the cards. An interesting reaction, I noted. Eventually, I got the sense she's more of a skilled reader than a talented "psychic." She didn't tell me anything I didn't already know but my two friends were satisfied and happy with their readings. I thought the reader was pretty cool when my 15 minutes were up and she spent another 10 minutes with me. But worth the $35? Eh. It's just all part of the "Sedona experience." read more

11/08/12 Nice and airy, with wide spaces to peruse through the store's wares. I've been to this store before, but my group didn't buy anything. This time, I was with my aunt, who is both a devout Catholic and a very spiritual soul (being one doesn't necessarily mean you're the other). She wanted to check out the singing bowls here when she spotted signs outside mentioning them. She has one back home and wanted to show me how to make them "sing." I couldn't get a hang of it here, since I hadn't latched on to a most important tip of the process, and I was so frustrated. We did leave with some beautiful pieces of crystals. :) We found another SCV location nearby (on a second level of the block), where I was able to make the bowls sing, now that I figured out what I was doing wrong at the first location. I bought a bowl here, but upon reflection wished I'd gone back to the first location (this review's address) as it had newer and more beautiful bowls to choose from. Also, the cashier that had bagged my crystals at the second location chipped one of them, and I didn't notice the damage until I'd returned home. I wish Yelp allowed me to check in to both places so that I could write reviews for both, instead of lumping them all here. All in all, I'm glad we visited SCV, as I now have a gorgeous-sounding bowl to aid in my daily meditation! read more

I have to say that my wife loves this place. She went off to go shopping and came back with a couple of pieces of rock jewlery. Then she went on and on about how this is one of the cheapest stores she's seen. So I went in and I have to say that I would agree. It's got a good feel to it and I've been to almost all of the new age stores there. The people there are good people working and doing readings there. Although I get the sense that many of the folks are more skilled at giving tarot readings rather than psychic readings. read more

We visited on a busy HOT June afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The collection of stones was very impressive and quite affordable. My 4.5yo was beside herself with glee touching nearly everything she saw saying each one was her favorite but not a single employee was irritated and even encouraged her to enjoy even more. This shop is a wonderful place, filled with almost all and every stone and crystal you can think of. The ladies who run it are very nice and professional. This is a review on the Psychic named Carol who was there on the weekend of September 28th. - 30th. 2018. I believe in psychics and this was not my first time, however this lady called Carol is an absolute scam. I had a $90 - 45' appointment with her and was absolutely speechless. She did not even guess anything. She asks questions and then comes up with the most obvious messages for you from her "friends". As an example when I talked to her about the possible success of my business, she went on and on giving me tips on how to promote my biz (make brochures, write your story, etc...). Really?! Not cool!, she should become a biz coach instead of a psychic! read more

One thing I haven't been able to find though is an ARK Crystal! www.holdmyark.com I think that they are just really rare so no one really "sells" them other than the creators of them. I did ask the staff and they'd heard of them which was refreshing! They even talked about the quantum vacuum energy properties in the ARK Crystal. I was just out browsing in the different stores and saw the sign for a 30 min reading for $60. I figured that even if she was totally inaccurate or fake - I'd just lose $60. Well - it was the real thing. I never had a reading like this before. She did her own visualization first, then talked with my spirit guides, cast tarot, and then spread the tarot cards out from another deck for one more card. So, there were basically 4 separate readings....and they all kept coming referencing things that are going on & have been going on. They referenced some things that are in the future and how I might have to deal with them, but this was just a whole new experience for me. I've had "psychic readings" before - and they were not done by people like this. Not even close. I liked the store too. They have a lot of rocks and crystals! I seemed to think that their rock / crystal prices seem more reasonable than the prior store I was in - but unfortunately I already spent money at that place which was a little closer to the jeep tours. I'm from Massachusetts and these type of shops are abundant in areas like Salem and surprisingly, Plymouth. So I wasn't amazed by what I saw but more so the price tag on what I was looking at. I know the prices were jacked up, and was not happy with that as I did see some things I would have bought if it was a reasonable price. I considered a psychic reading for fun but am glad I opted out as I found out later it is just a tarot card reading. I can read tarot cards, I use to read tarot cards as a "side job" so I don't need to give a woman forty dollars for something I can do myself. But I suppose all this is to be expected as Sedona is known to be a spiritual place and they are trying to make a living off the tourists. The woman that was working behind the counter was very nice and didn't mind me taking a long time to wander back and forth while I tried to decide if I was going to get something or not. I'n the end I did 3 small angel statues, but none of the "crystals" that were to offer I decided if I really needed them I would get one when I got back home. Nice lady with med length brunette hair approached me asking if there was something in particular that I was looking for. She had a "nice-ness" about her and was not pushy. Something drew me and and I asked about a reading (which I have NEVER had before). She set me up and within 5 minutes I was greeted by Kamin. She was a lovely lady. She led me to a private room and the magic began. Kamin was very informative and the more cards we flipped the cars, the more intuitive she was about me. She described an aspect of me that I knew I had but never put a name to it. I truly was impressed and left the room feeling like "I get it .. now I need to do something about this" .. Nice brunette lady assisted me in picking out crystals but didn't fill my basket with nonsense... the experience stayed with me and I'm really happy I entered the store. I was told by both locations that they were busy & to give them a "jingle" later on. I told them this did nothing to help my people issues. One salesperson tried to get me to buy a reading & told me to look up stones online. I told her I needed help for a purchase. She told me she would call me back but never did. Yesterday I bought the aura reading and was told to get the 30 minute psychic reading to really get an in depth past life reading. The sales people raved about her and said she told them all these things that cake true. It was a Complete waste of money and i could have just paid a therapist. She talked about angels a lot and gave me "practical advice" and after all that said it's really up to "free will" so she can't determine the future. Asked for a couples reading here as a walk in on a spur of the moment whim - we wanted to do something mystical and Sedona-ish while we were here for the weekend. We were directed to Concetta, it was $70 for a 30 minute couples reading. I've had readings before but this was my fiance's first. Concetta was very in tune with us, she explained what our purpose was here on earth and even though my fiancé and I had very different "callings" they were definitely spot on. She also helped us each connect with a parent who crossed over and was able to read their personalities very accurately. I wish we had more money for a longer reading - we're already hoping to return someday and have Concetta read for us some more. Definitely a fun and enlightening experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE! DISHONEST EMPLOYEES AND OWNER. I'd give zero or negative stars if I could! I purchased a chakra pendant in May. The manager broke my white gold chain "fixing" it. She then gave me a new silver chain to put my chakra on. Two weeks later the new chain has turned black and broke. I went to get my white gold chain and it wasn't in the box! They kept my chain! I immediately called and spoke to the manager who didn't remember but said she didn't have the chain. She offered me a new silver chain. I picked that up on July 6 and asked if they found my white gold chain. I was told no. 2 days later the new silver chain started to turn black so I called the manager again. She asked me what I expected them to do and I said replace my white gold chain with an equivalent white gold chain. Long story short I never heard back and went to the store on Sunday. I was told by the manager,Andrea, that the owner,Jovita, said she would not replace my gold chain! They stole my chain! I called the owner who proceeded to tell me that the two employees, Andrea and another, said they gave me the chain back and I left the store with it! She believed them and told me she would not pay for a replacement white gold chain because I was given my chain back. They are all Liars! I'm not the kind of person who would waste my time on the crappy silver chains if I HAD my original white gold chain. I walked back into the store and returned the chakra. I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. IN EITHER LOCATION! Karma will take care of them ten fold! read more

Had a reading by Miko. She is not really a physic. Could not really tell me anything about myself. She was more of an intuitive coach. I had to completely describe my life to her, and then she sort of felt the situation and gave me advise. She was very nice, just should not present herself as a physic.
