I have been the beneficiary of being a member of SeeBeyond Medicine for a little over 5 years now and I am impressed with how Dr Lee and other members of the Team continue to be at the forefront of future trends and advancement in Medicine. Many of the medical tests and science based treatments she provides for her patients are with no exaggeration, very logical, and ahead of many other healthcare providers. I have been a patient of both Dr's Lee for about 7 years now. I understand that her prices are high but I have to say that it is more than worth it. I feel that both Dr's Lee understand me and how my body reacts to medicines. As a result, I am a huge believer in the care I have received. They monitor me for my Thyroid and also monitor my Medical Cannabis (without which I would literally not be able to type this). They keep track of multiple blood markers and as a result I have bene able to fine tune my blood chemistry using some of their supplements and vitamins. If you are looking for a Doctor to prescribe you endless medications then lookk elsewhere. If you want a true holistic Doctor who will take the time to understand your needs and your body and help you maximize your body naturally then this is the right place. read more

SeeBeyondMedicine is just a rip off. In short and as many others stated before: Don't go to this practice! The care you will receive is low quality (mostly freshly on-boarded nurse-practitioners who hardly know their script), the costs you will face are ridiculously high - 700 USD per consultation for those very same very green nurse practitioners) - while being told that you should really join Dr Lee s 15.000 USD concierge or membership programs to get the full attention of the doctor...thanks, but definitely no thanks! I do not post often but my 6 months of working with this practice proved to be a horrible and offensive experience. This was by far the most frustrating medical experience i have ever had. I felt like i was in a used car lot...around every corner there was a surprise upcharge or fee that hadn't been disclosed. Before i knew it, I had spent thousands of dollars yet got little to no advise or help and they made me feel like they were doing me a favor every time we met. I thought Doctors we supposed to be professional advisors yet i felt like i was being upsold constantly....they continually pushed me to buy more products or treatments directly from them and to utilize unnecessary services, products or supplies. (which they made commissions on) This is a glorified sales operation designed to barrage you with information that is confusing and then convince you to buy more supplements or treatments or monthly consults so that they could make more money. Six months ago I switched to another Doctor who is far better, goes a lot deeper with their analysis and bloodwork, and doesn't try to upsell me anything. The costs are fully disclosed and fair and based on their time and i feel like i have made huge progress since leaving Dr Lee's program. They send someone to my house to do bloodwork so i don't have to go in for that, they send me to a website to buy supplements, and the quarterly meetings we have are based on data and so much more thorough and understandable. I am sorry to sound so negative but now that i have seen what a true integrative Doctor does, i am blown away and understand why this is so important....But the point is that i want a Doctor thats is about helping me improve not a Doctor salesperson who is about making more money for themselves. read more

Not only does Dr. Lee lack compassion for her clients, she explains medical terms as if you understand what she is saying. If you are not a licensed medical doctor, it is difficult to understand any of the results that Dr. Lee explains about your process. Not only that, but I explained to the doctor that I would be going on vacation and if this would be a good time to start a program since it would be interrupted, and she insisted that it was. Now I am being charged and additional $500 due to the fact that my program was extended when I explained my situation from the beginning and was encouraged to go. If you are contemplating visiting this doctor's office, DON'T. Reach deep into your pockets and think long and hard before coming here. In short, from my dealings with this office, Dr. Joon Lee is only interested in the money and not her patients. She charges an exorbitant amount for the initial consultation only for her to tell you that she recommends you pay to "join" various Functional Medicine Programs she offers. She charges a minimum of $500 for each "program" you partake in, which consists of a blood or urine analysis (which you still have to pay an external lab to run) and only one office visit to review those results. You have to pay in advanced for the office visit, which is off putting. During the subsequent office visit, she quickly reviews the test results within a matter of minutes, and finishes with a rehearsed script, rattling off a list of therapies, supplements, and the next "program" you must join. Nothing personalized, just a menu of programs she can offer and bill you for. How convenient that she offers those supplements and services at a premium. Non of her services are billable to the insurance (according to her), but she had no qualms about billing my insurance for a full office visit for a 5 minute phone call regarding a prescription. She had the gall to send bill after bill charging me $17 for the remainder of what the insurance did not cover. During my infamous last visit, she began and ended a consult for a Heavy Metal test in 10-minutes flat. In short, only one 10 minute office visit cost me $500. She quickly started to check the results of a blood work that I brought in, but two pages in, she quickly change the direction of the visit. She refused to read the results until she knew she would be paid for another visit. (I had done this test called an ION test through my General Practitioner closer to my home only on her recommendation.) She begins to say, "Since, I had not joined this specific program, she needed to reimbursed for her time to read the blood work... she could not take responsibility to read a test run by another doctor...her services amounted to $500/hour... she didn't know how long it would take to read the blood work." Just a bunch of excuses to be paid for another visit. What doctor would not read lab results already in front of her to help a patient, especially since my consult was so short? Shocked and appalled at her money hungry attitude, I thanked her for the consult which only lasted only 10-minutes and cost me $500. I told her that since we were done here, she will never see my face again. I WALKED OUT. read more

I drove from NYC to Scarsdale to see Dr. Lee with a groupon for botox twice now and I'm very pleased with the results. Dr. Lee takes her time, keeps notes, remembered me from my first visit which had been over a year ago, and made several key recommendations. She went to the point of taking out a pen and paper and drawing me a picture, not the usual run of the mill "whaddya want" typical Groupon service. Don't come here for Vitamin IV therapy unless you want to lose a vein. I was visiting my mom and had to continue my IV therapy that I was receiving in Los Angeles. This was the only place that I could find in the area and they assured me that they were skilled in administering IV. Clearly, they were not. First, they didn't have the proper buffer for Vitamin C. When I told them my arm was burning and hurting they kept telling me it was fine. In the end I had a black and blue mark up my entire arm and a blown vein. When I talked to the doctor about it, she was cold and dismissive. She could care less and said that it could take up to six months for the vein to heal. It's been almost a year and the vein is still hardened and can't be used. Please go somewhere else for Vitamin IV therapy! read more

Honestly starting to feel like a waste of money. The staff have no communication whats so ever between me and themselves. I get charged a co-pay to come in just to be told a prescription will go through pharmacy. I have to call them when I don't get notified and then thats when I'm told they made a mistake and actually can't send the form through pharmacy. Then they want me to come back in, pay another co-pay, and start off where we left off in my last visit, even though they made the mistake. Theyre just money hungry, no results, just emptier pockets. Dr. Joon Lee is a wonderful doctor who is not only knowledgeable but intuitive. She really listens to you and tries to get at what is the underlying root cause of disease instead of just treating the symptoms, which is all too common and only a temporary fix.
