I had low expectations because I had tried to quit multiple times in a lot of different ways with no success. I remembered having a friend who said their mom quit with hypnosis and for as long as I had been trying to quit I felt like it was worth a try even if I was skeptical. What I could not have anticipated is how meeting Rita would change my life. By my second session I had quit smoking. Poof! It's a whole 7 months later at the time of this review and to this day I feel like it's a habit that I never had. I simply no longer identify with cigarettes, past or present. It doesn't even bother me to be around people who are smoking, which totally blows my mind. Being that I had quit smoking early in our sessions, Rita asked if there was anything else I wanted to work on with the sessions I had remaining. I mentioned that I was feeling a lot of stress and anxiety around my work and asked if that was something she could help with. Sure enough, Rita turned out to be better than any psychologist I have ever seen in helping me break the cycle of stress and negative thoughts. Further, she gave me the tools to calm my own mind instead of being dependent on therapy sessions or drugs forever. You can tell Rita really cares about the people she works with and wants nothing more than to see them succeed and live their happiest lives. Towards the end of my sessions Covid happened, forcing Rita and I to do my sessions virtually. To my surprise our virtual sessions worked just as well as our in person sessions. Although I did miss seeing her and hanging out in her really cool hypnosis room! All in all, I can't recommend Rita enough. If you have an issue that involves breaking some kind of bad habit or harmful cycle of thoughts or actions Rita is who you need to see. I recommend her to all my friends now and will likely go back to see her for some phobias that I have not addressed. If you're on the fence, you have nothing to lose except the things that are bothering you. Rita is 10000% worth the time and money commitment in exchange for the freedom you will feel. When I think about some of the biggest life changing milestones in my life, meeting Rita is right up there at the top.

The discussions that we had prior to the actual hypnosis were like mini therapy sessions, and were very effective. When the hypnosis began, I became concerned because I didn't feel like when I was "going under." I stuck with it, though, and gave it a chance. After the session, I didn't feel like I was "hypnotized," but I can happily say that I have literally not had an ounce of soda since my first session with Taylor. I discussed my concerns with Taylor about not feeling like I was put under, and we worked through them.
