Came here twice for 2 different hair appointments and I love the work by both my hair stylists! My first appointment was in Jan 2022 with Ai as my hair stylist. I started with virgin black Asian hair with the goal of an ashy-but-still-yellow blonde with shadow roots. I also got a haircut, so the entire process took 6 hours, practically from opening to closing lol Ai was very meticulous and took care to apply bleach and everything carefully all over the place. I wore a mask during this process and was a bit worried it may interfere with hair around my ears, but it was actually okay! The end result was a bit ashier than I requested, but it was because as I wash my hair (using blonde shampoo as suggested, not purple shampoo) it would get more yellow. My hair defiantly did feel drier afterwards but that was to be expected. It definitely wasn't as dry as I thought it would be haha I also got an Oleplex treatment there. The total for my hair cut + bleaching + balayage colour and shadow roots + treatment + tax + 20% tip was about $700! It's a lot, yes, but I do think it was a very nice job! I admit that I don't think the shade I chose suited me too well LOL but I hadn't asked Ai for a colour recommendation, so entirely my bad. As the colour "faded" and became yellower, I think it actually suited me a bit better. However, the colour didn't differ too strongly from initial appointment to 6 months later. The shadow roots were really well done and blended in with my natural root growth super well and unnoticeable. The second appointment I had was 6 months later, as Ai had recommended for the health of my hair lol this time I had Yasuka since Ai was unavailable. I had the goal of a more pink or pink-peach shade because I thought it would suit me more, plus some dark pink-ish shadow roots. I consulted with Yasuka for her colour opinion this time too! The total process took about 5 hours total. Yasuka was very meticulous with her root application to avoid breakage at the areas that were previously bleached. I still wore a mask throughout this appointment, and it defiantly got in the way of a few stray hairs around my ear that got a bit less love from the colouring process. However, I don't think it mattered too much because the end result was really nice! According to Yasuka, this was actually her first time doing pink on someone haha but it was really good! It was much more of a darker pink that expected, but it would fade quickly with each wash since pastel/pink colours don't hold too well in general. I also got an Oleplex treatment this time too, while Yasuka also commented that my hair was dry AF and I should use a hair mask (I'm sorry I didn't use one this whole time). The total for my long roots touch up + colour and shadow roots + treatment + a tub of 007 keratin hair mask for home use + tax + 20% tip was about $550! A bit less than last time but still a lot, however I love the colour so much more! I will admit I got some pink dyed pillows from possibly excess dye on the back of my head that didn't get fully washed. The darker shade was very nice and I think it suited me quite well! After the first wash, it pretty much instantly went to a light pastel pink/peach and after a 2nd wash it's actually held at about the same colour so far. I'm liking the pink/peach and hoping to get a pink hair mask to keep it pink-ish. Overall, I've had quite a positive experience from Seefu! I think the staff are all very knowledgeable and do a great job with your hair. The prices are indeed a bit high, but a lot of the salons in the area are similar price based on quotes I got from the area. Ridiculously expensive for the quality and service! I usually go to a Japanese hair salon around College/Bay area; but decided to give this hair salon a try today since it looks nice, clean and only a few mins walk from my condo. Worst decision ever! Will return back to my go-to salon even if it takes 30-40mins to get there by TTC. $280 before tax and tips for color by Ai, (Simple Dark Brown); that's already unreasonable given the fact that my stylist spent probably around 20-30mins on my hair (color and styling) and the rest was me sitting there waiting (almost 1 hr) and shampooing (10mins). She also had another customer at the same time working on my hair. I had an appointment at 6pm; I get it, it's Saturday evening but with that price I did not expect to be rushed out of the salon, feeling completely unsatisfied with my hair. If they wanted to go home or party on the weekend, don't leave the option of 6pm appointment on their booking site! (That was also the only available slot when I booked) 15 mins after I booked my appointment, they called me to ask what kind of color I would like to do. I said Brown; and whoever called me at that time could not hide her surprise and had to asked me: "Oh only Brown?" During the coloring process, one of the things on my left ear (Idk what they're called- they usually put on your ears to avoid color to stain your ears and skin) fell off on the ground a couple of times. And my stylist kept picking it up; without washing; putting it back on my ear. At one point she gave up picking it up and just let the color get around my ear. Also, she was not gentle on my hair. She pulled it so hard that My head felt backward all the time. When she styled my hair, she did not bother with my bangs and just parted them away. FINAL RESULT - my hair still has this orange-ish color that when I first walked into the salon and told her specifically to pick me a color which lasts long and doesn't fade soon! Please look at the pictures to see if you think this is worth more than $300 for 3 weeks (accordingly to Ai, the stylist, it can only last 3 weeks because my base color was orange)? read more

Price is steep but hair cut was well done. Def met my expectations. For me, location and service wise, seefu was a better option. I will def return to seefu for hair color to see how it turns out. My hairstylist was Jin Kim. He has so much experience as a hair stylist. Highly recommended for haircut if you dont mind paying a bit. When you bring a pic of hairstyle he will tell you whether it would look good on you considering your headshape, hair texture, and a facial shape. I wanted short hair and he advised me its better to keep my hair at least below to my chin level as my face is pretty long. Haircut costed quite a bit. I just paid more since I wanted a bold change with hair (from super long to short) and I didnt want crappy haircut. After few weeks, my hair still looks great without blow dry or straightening. So far, Im happy with the result. Tip: I used to go to N15, NC, Chura, and another hair salon in Christie. For the best scalp massage experience, NC is suuper good. But Seefu gives you shoulder massage too. For hair color, both N15 and NC were decent. If you want to get a good quality haircut I recommend Seefu and N15. For regular cheap cuts, hair salon in Christie or Finch is okay w meh quality. (Great value if you are just getting trims). For bold changes, I recommend seefu. NC and N15 are both great for trims but it really depends on who cuts your hair. read more

I wanted a full head of ash blonde hair colour but instead I got a brassy brown ombré. Do NOT be fooled by their advertised photos they only post the ones they knew were good. They knew mines was poorly done and did not post mines. I got charged more than $500 for a very poorly half a$$ hair. Very disappointed would never come again to this place. First off, the place was a little hard to find. It's a very small entrance, and its on the second floor. As soon as you walk in you get greeted, asked for your appointment and then immediately start. They take your bag and put it in lockers and give you the key, which is quite nice and thoughtful. I got bangs for the first time in years, and I've been very scared to get bangs because I wanted something very specific. But I showed Yuna the picture of what I wanted and she immediately knew what to do. I wanted see through bangs with longer side bangs to frame my face. It pretty much turned out exactly how I imagined it. The hair wash was very pleasant, she was very careful not to get water on my face and not to touch my piercings, even though I told her it's okay. During the wash she massaged my head and neck. After the wash before blowdrying she massaged my shoulders and back. It was amazing! Overall the experience and outcome were great! I will definitely come back next time I need a haircut. Because of the exceptional service, the price is a little on the high end side, but it is well worth it! read more

Out of the few hair salons I have been to, this place gives your excellent service for the price your paying for (depending on what it is). When I first came in which was there opening at 11 am, everyone greeted me and was extremely nice. They would hang your coats and help you put on the black gown. They also gave you snacks, refreshments, and massages. I did a cut and hair color with Jin Kim and his assistant. He was great!!! He took care of my hair so well and is very detailed! He cut my hair first before he bleached it and it came out better than what I had expected. My hair was medium in length and most of my hair was dead since I had previously died my hair before so I was extremely worried he would cut most of my hair off. But he understood that I just wanted to cut off a bit like a trim so he definitely delivered. He also gave my hair volume which was great because I had thick hair. Moreover, the hair colour turned out amazing! It was almost similar to a ash blonde hair which I wanted to achieve so I came out very happy! Also, pointing out that the whole process of getting my hair to look the way I wanted it to be was eight hours and I had only booked my appointment for three hours. Even though he had other appointments booked for the afternoon, he was willing to put in the effort to give me the results I wanted so I am grateful that he took the time. Overall, I payed $500 which was including tip. My bill came down to $470 with tax. Despite paying cash, they still charge you tax which made it a bit more pricey but it was worth it. I did a walk in on a weekday afternoon and was able to get service right away. I brought a picture with me to show my stylist what I wanted and he confirmed with me to make sure he understood what I wanted. He also suggested I modify the look a bit because I have less hair than the person in the photo I brought. I appreciated his recommendation because my hair turned out great! I loved the layers, it was just the right amount and it has been very low maintenance so I didn't even need to style it much yet I've been getting compliments on it everyday. Beautiful salon space. The experience begins from the moment you go up the stairs, with lights on the staircase matching the ones framing the full length mirrors in front of every salon chair. Service here is very nice, you can tell that the people who work here really care about making you feel comfortable and taken care of. They took my coat, offered a locker for my stuff and asked if I wanted anything to drink (I asked for tea). My hairstylist (Kevin) took the time to look at the pictures I had prepared and offered me his own suggestions of what he thinks would match my face shape and help me achieve more volume with my thin hair. He then went ahead and expertly cut it. Then my hair was washed, there was a brief scalp massage and a shoulder massage and my hair was then styled with waves. One star off because their prices are a little steep, probably can't come here for regular cuts. Just had my balayage and hair cut done. The hair cut was very good as they do dry cutting, which means you actually get to see your hair in its actual normal state, which for me was pretty genius. The Balayage was great, I initially wanted something lighter but the overall color that I got suited me better! The staff were polite and they are not lazy. I don't know what the complaints are because the price is worth it. I have been quoted more expensive price for the same length and service at another salon. My goal was to have something done to my hair color to hide the roots growth that was becoming an eyesore, and they did it perfectly. So after ditching GOA, being too scared to go back to Deberardinis, and then trying and failing miserably at Salon D'Elephant, I've been forever on the hunt for the perfect salon. The salon that will understand what I mean when I say "Make sure the perm isnt too curly. I don't want it to look like I'm a contestant on 'Toddlers and Tiaras'," or "Not too short. I don't wanna remind people of Demi Moore in that one movie." Alas.....I HAVE FOUND IT. Anyways, went in for a perm and cut and they were fantabulous. Before I get in to the whole perm and cut portion and all the meaty good stuff, let me just say, the salon is stunning. Super clean and modern, comfy chairs, well lit displays and spacious. Whoever designed it is primo. My hair stylist was RIKA. She performed the perm and cut and is a master genius! The perm is soft and subtle, but enough to make the people at my work place say "Ooh, you look exotic. Kinda like Moana" Exactly the response I want. The cut was amazing, as well! She made my head and face look smaller and I didnt look like a mushroom from Super Mario by the end of it. Scalp massage was A+ and service was superb. Like many Asian salons, they offer you beverages, which is always a nice touch. The vibe from the staff was friendly too! Very nice and not pushy or snooty, which is quite at odds with how bougie the salon looks. Overall I think I spent about 2 hours in the chair, which, for a perm and cut isnt bad at all. Pricewise, it was around $145-ish? A pretty penny, but worth it if the perm lasts for the better part of half a year and the cut makes me feel good about myself. :) Anyways, booking a follow-up trim a few weeks from now, so I'd obviously go back again! I went for cosultation a week before for my colour and the stylist Yasuka said it would cost $350-400. I went today for appointment and she asks "do you want your hair not to be damaged" I said "of course, who wants their hair to be damaged?! Then she says you have to add $50, I said of course I don't want it to be damaged but shouldn't that be in your price that you gave me at consultation?! She says no, I can do $400 but your hair will get damage... I just got up and left, this place is all about money and I can't believe they charge so much for jUst a touch up. this was my first time going to a professional salon in 10+ years, and a lot of my friends recommended me this place, so i decided to book a 1 hour dry cut appointment for right when they opened on a sunday. i arrived on time and was seated within 5 mins. my appointment went for 1.5 hours because they ended up washing/blow drying my hair mid-cut, and in the end, the haircut wasn't really what i wanted... i showed my hairdresser some photos, but it looked nothing like that in the end. since i was already there over my appointment time slot, i didn't want to stay any longer, so i just paid and left. it's almost been 1 week since my appointment, and i'm still finding a lot of split ends. the service was really good, everyone was friendly and super quick, and i had great conversation with my hairdresser, but i don't think i'd go back here again read more

I will not recommend Seefu to anyone who has wavy to curly hair.They may be good with straight hair, but I am extremely disappointed with the outcome on my wavy hair. I had specifically told the hair stylist to give me a cut that increases volume in my hair, but rather I have less volume than before. As well, I couldn't understand the dry hair cut technique. How is it better than wet hair cut technique ? I couldn't judge, in dry hair, weather the cut looked good on me or not! Also, the price I paid for the service was quite expensive! i went all the way from waterloo to toronto just for this hair appointment last saturday. very disappointed, had a balayage/highlight from Ai. my primary requirement is to look healthy, it turns out looks like i have grey hairs after the highlight is down. Ai insisted that i chose the color, however, i didn't choose the specific color but only showed her some pictures, and i trusted her decision. she acted like it's all my fault and didn't show ANY apology to this. in the end i decided to cover all the highlight with a darker brown hair, and i thought there would be some discount since my hair is basically ruined and it doesn't look like anything close to balayage or highlight. however, the hairstylist still ended up asking me to pay the full price ($640) with a 30 dollars of discount. Rika did a fabulous job on my one length bob cut - as I've been looking for someone to cut it the exact way I wanted. She listened to what I wanted exactly, and was able to do it with skill and ease.
