Unfortunately, there is no option for a Zero rating. Our advice to anyone checking out reviews is to dig deeper until you find the other less than perfect reviews. Nigel is nearly impossible to track down, sent us a contract which looked very unprofessional and then hounded us for a down payment so he could purportedly purchase materials. He never sent the signed contract back even after repeated requests. We are currently seeking a total refund of our deposit since we advised him weeks ago to stop any further work. The man who recommended Nigel we fired because of shoddy workmanship. Nigel's admin assistant refuses to send us the paid invoice/receipt for materials ordered for our job (what does that tell you?). As retired folks, we find these unethical business practices abhorrent. read more

We contracted Nigel for a steel mezzanine installation. Immediately after being awarded the job he asked for a deposit. Does he need money that bad. Kinda raised my suspicion, but be an referral for my friend I figured he should be okay. I paid with a credit card thank God. So I was able to dispute charge after a whole month of no-show. I repeatedly call him but he never picks up the phone. He will only respond to text messages every few days or so. Not only was our job delayed for a month but we also incurred $2400 of liquidated damages from our customer. Which we will be pursuing in court from Nigel. read more

We would give zero star rating if we could. Nigel came to our house to give us an estimate for a stair railing almost four months ago. We hired him. He asked for a $375 deposit and promised to have the railing back to us in one week. Two weeks passed, no railing. He told us he had been on vacation. A month passed, we called him. He told us the railing was ready. He asked, " Do you want a gloss or flat finish"? We didn't hear from him so we called again two weeks later.. He told us he had to come out and measure again! Supposedly the railing was suppose to be ready a two weeks earlier. My husband is a retired construction contractor he had to make a template of the pitch for the railing for Nigel. Obviously the railing wasn't even made yet! If he is legitimate why did my husband have to make a pitch pattern for him? Then he promised the railing would be ready in a few days. It wasn't. He said he would give us a discount when it was done because it took him so long to finish. We finally gave up on the railing ever being made by him. Three weeks ago we asked him for our deposit back. He said he would tell the accountant. We called two weeks later he said he will check with the office. Still no check. He has an excuse every time you talk to him. This is his business he could have sent us a refund right away. Don't hire him! We don't believe the few good reviews he has on his sight are actually from real clients. He takes your money and goes on vacation. He is a scam artist. I had a consult with Nigel to create wrought iron balusters for my home on 12/1/15. He guaranteed they would be installed before Christmas. That approached and the rails were not ready. Then, I was told that they would be ready and installed on 1/4/16. Here it is, 1/26/16 and I do not have rails. Nigel dropped off a portion of them to me on Thursday last week, however, the powder coating was not up to par. I got in touch with him and he said he would get the rails back to the powder coater to get fixed. I gave them to Nigel in Cary yesterday, and then called the powder coater this morning. They have not received the rails from Nigel. I could have just dropped them off myself to them, but Nigel wanted to do this. Now, I am trying to get in touch with him and he is not answer my calls or texts. I paid him for a service, and it is not being fulfilled. He is definitely giving me a run for my money. I do not recommend him whatsoever, give your business to someone who deserves it. read more
