Before we even got started, he was so quick to respond to emails, hop on a call with me, and answered all of my 1000 questions. Leading up to our wedding I would stalk their social media pages, dreaming of how our wedding day would turn out. The day of my wedding Alex and his team showed up and went above and beyond my expectations. They worked so collaboratively with my photographer and the rest of my vendors. So seamless. So professional. So creative. So fun!!! Your wedding day is so special (and very exhausting by the end of it) so having a good team of people makes the world of a difference. From the creative ideas to the guidance with poses, I was happy, having fun, and at ease the entire day. The day goes by so quickly and I was so excited to get my content, since photos and videos are the only things that live on. We went with the best package they had available (and even added more time at the end) because it was THAT good. The White Rose team turned around our content soooooo quickly and did the most amazing job- I still cry every time I watch our video. They were able to get me my 2 hour film before the holidays and the whole family got to enjoy it and relive it on Christmas. As a lowly narrator, I can't tell you all the details about tech specs and whatnot, but I trust my publishing house only books the best. Tim was the most warm and friendly guy and put me right at ease (which goes a long way in this industry and in life in general--some folks are just technically competent but completely relationally incompetent, unfortunately). We bumbled around with a couple amateur producers and home studios before discovering York. This is the real deal if you want to record, mix, edit or master anything resembling legitimate-sounding music, voice-overs or podcasts. Tim took the time to meet us ahead of committing and gave us a great vibe and tour of his studio. Once we pulled the trigger, he was super professional but also relaxed and fun to be around. It was like recording with an old friend, but in a high-end studio with top-notch gear. The vibe of York also attracted us: tastefully decorated and adorned with cool stuff, not to mention the cherry vintage gear he has available. As a drummer, I salivated at some of his snares! Guitars, drums, keys, amps, mics and pres, all sweet as pie. Not to mention his digital stuff, high-end emulators and plugins all hooked into a HD ProTools rig. Best of both worlds. Speaking of which, Tim is literally the Billy the Kid of ProTools. He's smoking fast and the only thing that held us up was us! We tracked our entire album over two weekends which is crazy quick (it can take anywhere from a few weeks to months for an album) and returned for mixing. Because of the efficiency, we ended up spending less than on our 6-song E.P. that didn't sound half as good. Tim gave us sage advice and lent himself to produce, but also gave us complete creative control. His ears are amazing and his decades of engineering experience really showed. It really helped us at every step. I'm still amazed at how good the mix sounds on every system I play it on -- car, phone, earbuds. It just translates so well and I'm even more convinced than before (not that I doubted) that his informed intention behind every decision was the best for our project. We look forward to working with him again in the future! Thanks Timbo! P.S. We were there this past summer in the middle of COVID-19. Tim wears a mask in-session and keeps his place meticulously clean and sanitized. There was plenty of space to keep distance and we felt very safe.

I've worked with other freelancers who've charged much more for much more basic results. The best part of this experience was how easy Tom was to work with. During filming, he needed very minimal direction and it was obvious he understood our vision. He adapted so quickly and collaborated so well, he felt like an instant coworker more than a hired contractor. I trusted his judgment on editing, and that instinct was rewarded. I only had to give him a couple of revision notes, as he understood what we wanted to convey and delivered. The quality of the shots was gorgeous. Extremely polished, with multiple camera angles and shot styles. If you're looking for a quick turnaround time, keep in mind that this company tends to be in high demand and often has a full plate (a good sign) so depending on their workload, there may be a wait on editing.
