Delicious shawarma and doner kebab. The sandwich is delicious and the tables are filled with different sauces for both sandwiches and fries. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Love ayran and was excited to see that offering. Definitely try for some good doner in Amsterdam!

After unexpectedly having my mind blown away by their chicken doner on a completely random visit here back in 2017, there was absolutely no question that my first real meal back in Amsterdam had to be Sefa. Five years later, this is still the best damn chicken doner I've ever had! I don't know what they do to make this chicken so flavorful, but I've never had anything like it anywhere else in the world. And this is coming from a guy who prefers beef or lamb. In fact, it's so good that I came here TWICE on my recent Amsterdam trip. This time around, I actually tried the lamb doner. It's alright, but it has nothing on the chicken shawarma. That chicken doner sandwich I had was just FIRE. Staff here are really friendly. Very casual place, they make you feel quite welcome. Pay up front before you leave. I promised these guys that I would give them a great review and I'm holding up my end of the bargain. Sefa is 100% worth it and will be a permanent fixture of my food tours every time I go to Amsterdam!

We got to find out about this place a bit late but the food was good and hope to go back soon

5 stars all the way!!! Strolling in Amsterdam right after visiting Anne Franks house I was tired and wanted a quick meal.It was a cold and rainy afternoon. This place had an open inviting space, open doors and meats being prepared right in front.Small restaurant with limited seating on the main level and some on the upper and lower level. I walked in with a shawarma on my mind but I saw the chef preparing a juicy burger and I immediately changed my mind.It was burger and lamb burger for sure. I placed my order and it was cooked right in front of my eyes-fresh to perfection and a huge serving for the right price. The food took about 10 mins. to arrive to my table.I kid you not their lamb burger is one of the best burgers I have ever had.If you love lamb this place is must try.The pattie was huge, the meat was sooooo flavourful and fresh with perfect spices. The bun was just a 10/10 too.Fries were piping hot and delicious. There was this only one table which is literally on the street and I was happily seated there.I thoroughly enjoyed the burger with a fabulous view and the rain. The service was super fast and friendly. The server kept checking on me occasionally and even offered if I wanted to move away from the front open table since it was raining to another-obviously I didn't I was loving the food, the rain and the view. Today sitting in Toronto I still dream of their burger, until next time!Cheers.

Chicken doner, fries, sis kebab, kofte. All fantastic but the chicken and the rice were out of this world good.

We had a very short trip to Amsterdam and popped into this spot because it was convenient and smelled good. The service was very friendly and fast, the prices were very reasonable, and the chicken doner was, according to my daughter, was maybe the best thing she has ever had. And she's had a lot of good food in a lot places! If you're anywhere near the neighborhood, this restaurant is more than worth it. So glad we found it!

Such a great dining experience at Sefa! We were immediately welcomed and the server gave us great recommendations. We got the mixed kebab plate and the falafels and truly enjoyed it. Don't forget to get the Turkish tea and baklava! Truly a treat in Amsterdam! We will be returning soon!

An amazing gem in Amsterdam! We were walking by the Anne Frank house and decided to stop by. We got the mixed kebob plate and falafel plate. The food was amazing and presentation was beautiful. The server and staff were all so welcoming. We got the Turkish tea and baklava and it was amazing! Will definitely be returning here soon!

Nobody, I mean nobody makes a more delicious, scrumptious and hearty dürüm döner than Sefa Grill-Shoarma. Nobody. Lekker, lekker, lekker!!! While traveling in Amsterdam, I tried numerous other Turkish dürüm döner and the taste just wasn't there. Sefa Grill-Shoarma is located right across from the beautiful Protestant church, Westerkerk. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sefa-grill-shoarma-amsterdam?select=ncPlyTvYFkehXrDHd7BY2A#59lLV6YxiLuARiMOKrLpUA FYI: Rembrandt was buried in Westerkerk. It's also right around the corner from Anne Frank's house, literally right around the corner. You also must visit the "Homomonument", also around the corner. It's a beautiful monument dedicated the gay community. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/qmUsgx5KBF7RzVUkyQR0vg?select=0qYZciURXVm4SxvB_pDd3Q#hX50_Ub-lM45NpDaKj5r8g Ok, enough of the tourist facts, let get back to what is important, dürüm döner!!! Sefa Grill-Shoarma servings are generous, I mean generous. Huge portions of meat are served in your Turkish burrito, AKA dürüm döner. You go in, order your food and go upstairs to the dining area and in a few moments the friendly staff will bring you this gigantic dürüm döner for only six Euros. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sefa-grill-shoarma-amsterdam?select=FMRqsYp3k3hywgvkqBN83g#tHXQ85QvpG8DNkJE-GCv6Q Every bite is just perfect, so savoring. The staff will also provide you the yogurt sauce and a spicy sauce. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sefa-grill-shoarma-amsterdam?select=FMRqsYp3k3hywgvkqBN83g#PIuZQvhaiG589K5u8Tq__A Did I mention the generous portions??!! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sefa-grill-shoarma-amsterdam?select=FMRqsYp3k3hywgvkqBN83g#59lLV6YxiLuARiMOKrLpUA While you're there, you have to try their french fries, AKA frites. Unlike french fries made in the states, they cook these thick fries only when you order them. They don't sit underneath a heating lamp. They are absolutely delicious too. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sefa-grill-shoarma-amsterdam?select=FMRqsYp3k3hywgvkqBN83g#-pZAWYWfSIHy_g9oFt8cfg If you're a local or a tourist roaming the beautiful city of Amsterdam, you must, you must, you must come to Sefa Grill-Shoarma. Like most Dutch restaurants they have WiFi, just ask for the code and they're more than happy to give it to you.

So much yes. We're big fans of halal platters so when we visited the Anne Frank House, we were glad this was so close! Service was friendly and the place was modern and clean. We both ordered the chicken and lamb platter with rice and generously used their white sauce (which I believe is garlic based). The meal was filling and not too expensive.

Came here to try a kapsalon. It was super filling and salty. We sat upstairs and it was soooo hot. All in all, food was fine. And we get to check kapsalon off of our list of things to try.

It isn't Berlin döner, but it is the best I have had in Amsterdam. Sufficient area to sit down, friendly, and give you the sauce bottles to apply yourself. Short walk from the Dom and well worth it to get away from the tourist traps. We visit every time we are in town.

I always need my fix of Doner and Kababs, this place is open to 6am (huge plus) and has lots of seating, however I don't think it's great enough where I would come back again - unless it was 5 am and I was hungry!! Portions are large, food is okay, a little too salty for me (needs more pita or Naan to balance it out I guess). Not bad, just not the best I've had for the money. There's many other places to choose from, so personally I would not come back here again or recommend this place to others, but it wasn't bad, I still ate a good portion of my food!

Some items are vendor machine style where you charge your card and the door unlocks so you can pull your food out. Some items and drinks you order at the counter. Their croquettes are tasty and crispy. Our favorite was the Sate. Almost had a curry type flavor. Surprisingly I also enjoyed their fries "Special" which is also known as "The Dutch Way". It had mayo, sate sauce, and chopped onions. It was delicious and the fries come out super fresh and hot! Very small eating area with a counter along the window. It's more of a grab & go place, or quick bites. Definitely need to try this place while in Amsterdam.

Both the veal and satay croquette were tasty, but the satay was my favorite. Crispy outside, tasty inside that reminded me a little of curry, and it was hot. Also got the fries "Dutch style" (according to the guy) - fries with mayo, satay sauce, and onions. I was skeptical, but it was good! They make the fries fresh and they were crispy outside, soft inside, and hot! I think you can also order burgers at the counter. This location isn't super big, but there's a small seating area to the side. It was past 10 but a lot of people were in and out getting snacks. This place opens until 2, so that's a plus for a late night food run. When in Amsterdam, try it out!
