Every time I visit, there's something there that I need to take home with me. And thankfully, they hold furniture for two weeks after you purchase it, which is incredible. Artcentric is fun to browse; it's chock-full of vintage furniture, decor and accessories that have been bought at estate sales, etc and lovingly restored by Debra, the store's enthusiastic owner. I never expect to find anything in these sorts of businesses, since vintage isn't my style. However, in a few months my boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment and we've been on the hunt for beautiful, practical furniture. As it happened, she'd recently purchased a solid mahogany dining table big enough for six, with additional leaves, and had priced it for a STEAL. We were very interested in the piece, and Debra was incredibly forthcoming about its condition and her passion for her work. She explained that she loves finding the next gem so prices her stock to move. She answered all our questions, then gave us time to ponder. In the end, we decided to purchase the table, and she happily offered to hold it for us until we were able to transport it home. I would highly recommend Artcentric.

It is open during the warm months on Saturdays and Sundays and the number of vendors varies depending on the weather. People come from as far away as Connecticut and Boston to search for treasures The vendors are an eclectic cast of characters with wares ranging from antiques and junk to produce and baked goods. The days we visited there were about 25 dealers. Haggling is encouraged but these guys are pros. You want to get there early on Saturday to get the best selection of treasures. Sally, who run the market with her family, is friendly and keeps things organized. The restrooms are clean with plenty of hand sanitizer and flowers. There is plenty of parking as well. The coffee at the food trailer is good, we did not try the food.

A week after the last school shootings in TX, the market has several (I counted about four) booths selling gun-related paraphernalia, flags with AR-15 image saying "Trump for Guns", "F... Why can't the market return to this rather than increasingly represent the division, hate, and violence in the US?

I look for vintage items and I've found some of the most unique finds there. One time I found some cow dolls with frilly dresses on and I made a video of them dancing. It was a hit! You never know what you might find at Captain's Treasures. I have found Pyrex mixing bowls in the Americana design. I'm saving them for my daughter. I think the reason why I never reviewed the place before is because I'm afraid that everyone will find out about it! It's too late..the people I see shopping there love it also. Thanks Captain's!

There were no parking places in front. Since donations are dropped off in back, I found the last parking spot in back. Parking is inadequate. CAPTAIN's Treasures is a next-to-new shop that provides gently-used, quality clothing and home goods at great savings for families - all while supporting kids, families, and seniors in the community through CAPTAIN CHS's over 30 programs and services. CAPTAIN's Treasures also provides clothing and household goods at no cost to individuals or families suffering significant hardships, such as victims of domestic violence or theft, or who have lost their homes due to fire or other disaster. More than 60 dedicated volunteers help to operate the shop and organize the generous daily outpouring of donations from the community.
