I live out in Bedford County so there are not a lot of options for Internet service here. We've tried two satellite dish companies but both had metered service that never lasted an entire month for us before they would start throttling us back. I work remotely most of the time and can burn up a lot of megabytes in a short period of time so these were not a great option for me. Seiontec is not metered and for us out in the woods they use line of sight radio communication. It tends to stay close to the download and upload speeds that we pay for, at least enough for us to work and the communication is up most of the time. But we have had our issues too. This week a thunderstorm knocked out our service and it was four days before anyone could get to us. Two techs, Jake and Jason showed up to troubleshoot. After a couple of hours, they had to take care of another call before they finished getting us resolved but Jake promised to return. Later in the day and true to his word, and after 6pm Jake came back with two other techs to finish the work. Within an hour or so the connection was once again working and someone in the office will fine tune the radio unit to ensure the highest throughput. The three techs left to take care of another call even though it was approaching 8pm. With line-of-site, every installation is different than nearly any other and the issues that may be encountered can be diverse as well. If you call tech support someone will try to troubleshoot an issue from the office but this can be difficult since they can't see or touch the equipment other than running monitoring software and then need to make a determination for the best approach to get things up and running again. Not an easy job. All of the technicians that have come out have all been very conscientious and committed to providing good service but there are times where there's not enough of them to go round and some issues require a lot of time to resolve or can be quite complex. That's the nature of telecommunications. For my situation, Seiontec Systems has been the best solution for our Internet needs. Not perfect but a lot better than anything else that we have in our area. I will never go back to metered service again or satellite dishes that are a lot more prone to failure than what we have with Seiontec. I'm sorry to see so may negative reviews but I am happy with what I have and grateful to have so many quality techs to provide service when we need it. I live in Franklin County, VA. The last several months, internet has been awful. It constantly lags even when the month first started. The company came out after putting the satellite on my roof and tried to tell me they needed to place it in my tree, after I told them no it was not going in my tree, they continued to attempt to go up my tree to place the satellite. I had to again tell them no before they got angry, got an attitude with me and left. Then, my entire community got email on 07/06/26 stating they were CLOSING on 07/06/26. Stated you would not be able to reach them by phone and can reply to the email and they would get back with you when they can. I emailed and have heard NOTHING. This company doesn't care about it's customers and has zero accountability. I guess it's a good thing they closed. read more

Been having issues with intent service in rocky mount for about 2 months. Technicians have been out multiple times and problems persist. Now I've been out continuously for a week and they tell me the soonest they can have someone out is 23rd (service went out 15th) and the only reason is simply due to me being in rocky mount. They are understaffed and quite frankly, unprofessional. Don't offer your services in an area you cannot maintain in a timely matter. I would avoid this company at all costs, especially if you live anywhere that's not Lynchburg. read more

Worst service ever. Its spotty at best. When you need it it craps out. Forget watching TV, video conferencing or just regular connectivity. They cut trees on my property to reach an antenna in Amhurst while I can see "no business mountain" just a couple miles from the house. They cut trees half way and still lay there. Also the send you a bill the day its due. If not paid immediately they will cut you off. Worst company i have ever dealt with, if i could give negative stars i could. I have been loyal customer since 2020. I never missed a payment and I never had a problem with their up until a couple of weeks ago. The pole that my signal was originally on was disconnected because they no longer owned the pole. Perfectly fine, if I had been warned ahead of time. There was no correspondence giving me such information or how they were going to rectify the issue. I called in to report that my internet had not been working for 24 hours, and that's when they informed me about the pole situation. I then asked what the next step was, and they said they would have to come out to realign the signal to another pole. They also informed me that I was not the only one affected by this issue. Again, perfectly fine... I was willing to wait for them to figure things out. I had to call twice to get an appointment for the realignment. I got the runaround on my first call, but then on my second call I told them if I didn't have an appointment by the end of the day I was going elsewhere with my business. After 17 days with no internet, I finally had an appt for them to come out. Two hours into the appointment I was told that they couldn't get a clear signal to cut the internet back on. The installers told me I would need to call the office. I also received a parting gift of two four inch trenches in my front yard from their van that could have been avoided if (again communication) I had been asked to move my vehicle so they could get out. When I went out to move my vehicle and leave his words were "sorry, its a front wheel drive". Not an apology for driving on my grass and not an apology for putting a giant hole in my yard. I decided to call the office and further voice my complaint and tell them about the yard. I asked to speak to a manager and got told there wasn't one in the building. I have yet to get a call back and honestly feel brushed aside like my business doesn't matter to them. It's amazing how a good four year long experience can easily unravel within a matter of two hours. I feel that I tried to give them every benefit of a doubt only to end up with no internet and damage to my property. I called again today after a week with no call back. I finally talked with a manager and was told they were so busy. Her solution was to send one of their guys to put down grass seed and hay "when they were in the area". I asked for a call by the end of the week with a day that her crew was going to show up. We will see what happens I guess. I have zero use for this company and their apparent "services". read more

Blake installed our service over 3 years ago and did an excellent job. He returned for a service call today after a storm knocked out our Internet Thursday evening. He and Eric provided us excellent service once again as they explained the situation and restored our Internet service. We really appreciate how prompt they were in responding to our need and navigating us through the issue. Our internet went out during a storm on Thursday night. service call set up for Saturday. Two guys, Blake and Eric, came today and within 15 minutes had us completely back online. We have this internet currently. We have been through the wringer with the horrible quality. At times, going over a week without functioning internet to a point they had to send the techs out multiple times to try and fix it. We pay for the 50 mbps plan and we receive around 1 mbps if we are lucky. Recently, we had to contact this company regarding cancellation as a new better internet has become available to us and we are tired of the slow and unreliable speeds that this network has. This extremely rude woman, Diana is who we spoke with. She continuously spoke over us and kept hanging up the phone. This was extremely unprofessional and I cannot believe that this woman is working in a consumer based environment where she has to deal with people as she is highly unqualified for that, with the way she pronounces herself and disrespects someone who was a customer for over a year due to wanting to cancel. Anyways, she told us that in order to cancel, we needed to pay like $1600 which is obviously outrageous and never mentioned in any format upon signup. Then she changed it to half of the price of that? Then she took that back and added an extra $300 on top of that for equipment rental. We told her that we never signed any contract and she hung up. When we called back, another person answered and started looking into everything in which she agreed, we had never signed a contract. We were transferred back to Dianna. We informed her of what the other girl told us and she said "she wasn't supposed to disclose that information with you so I will be talking to her about that". She isn't supposed to tell us the truth? I hope that the girl who gave us that information doesn't get penalized for not lying to us. Anyways 30 minutes later, Dianna emails us a contract with a forged online signature that we never saw, filled out or submitted. We even had confirmation from another associate that we never signed anything. Basically, do not go with this company under any circumstances. Not only can you hardly ever reach a person, when you do they are rude, hang up on you constantly, lie to your face, and punish employees who are truthful, as well as only providing 2% of the data services that we pay over $100 a month for. They price gauge people who have no other options due to where they are located and other internet not being available in those areas. They started out as above average Internet service for remote areas. It seems they have gotten too busy to service their existing customers. The service has gotten terrible. It seems that it's out or not working properly most of the time their phone line for support is always unanswered, you have to call sales and they take the message. Very strange you're a communication company and you do not communicate with your customers when you have a problem. At this time I would not recommend them. read more

I really want to make this a higher rating, but can't do it. I have had them since May 2022. I waited for a new tower to be finished and one of few options for me. We had some installation issues and they had to come back out. After second time, everything worked. Only 35mps available (still through December) although they get up to 100mps in other areas and say they are upgrading. When that will happen is undetermined?? Service has not been consistent to say the least with weekly calls needed to tell them I was without internet. Generally back on hours after I called with some outages longer. The after hours number sends an automated response and generally no other response until I call in the morning( so if it goes out on Friday at 6:00, it's off for the weekend). Currently (December 2022) we have been without internet for 8 days and no idea when it will return. Calls to service # says they have a network outage and then disconnects. Not helpful! I just got my monthly bill and will say when I emailed they refunded me and said they will reinstate billing when service is available. Correct response but I would rather have service. read more

I am a new customer, everything including my first call to Barbara (sales dept) was very pleasant. She took her time explaining the system, prices etc. and was very patient answering my questions. The installation was quicker than expected because I went on a standby list in case there were any cancellations. Had to wait until today to get them out to my house only to learn that they cannot provide service AND they will refund only my first month and not the $50. I've been using this company about 8 months. Before I started using their service I was very concerned because it took over 3 months before they could even get a team to my house to come and install. They did make me aware of this when I first contacted them so I figured maybe it was just "growing pains". The first crew that came out were only there for about 2 hours at the most. They were also very unprofessional and seemed as they didnt know what they were doing and even left equipment at my house after they stated that there was no way I could get service there due to location. I knew this was impossible because I live on a freaking mountain. I was also promised that it would be a whole day dedicated for attempting to find service. After complaining heavily I got another crew out a week later that found service within an hour but it took over a week later until they could make everything active. At the time that I actually had internet (not at the speed I was paying for) I had been paying for over a couple weeks. Not too mention that they billed me incorrectly for multiple months and I did not catch the mistake. They did give me multiple months of credit on my account to make up for the mistake. This only showed me more that I have to be mindful of using the company overall. Not only was the evaluation crew incompetent(first crew sent) but billing, service/repair, AND the service in general(read rest of review it only gets worse). Since install I have NEVER received the correct speed that I was promised. At the most I have got a speed of 20mgbs(very briefly) which is 15 under what I'm paying for. Sometimes it would even dip below 5mgbs but usually was usually under 10mgbs. Not to mention, this was when it was actually working AT ALL. In 8 months I have had at least 5 occasions where my service was not working at all. On one occasion it took over two weeks for them to resolve the issue! I am incredibly unhappy and will contact the company this week in an attempt for them to get me to the correct speed and make things right. If they cannot then I will be cancelling and contacting the BBB as well as the FCC. I am disappointed because I truly saw potential in this company and what they promised to provide. I'm truly hoping I'll be able to change this review at some point if they make things right but that is doubtful. BEWARE read more

Honestly has been the worst internet service i've ever had and trust me i had to deal with some really crappy service from verizon but this takes the cake. We live in a area where we don't have the lines to be able to get any internet so we started off by using a mobile data router from us cellular witch was pretty good just didn't like being limited on home much i could be on the internet for a month but then we got told about this service and we thought that it would be great but it was hands down the worst thing i've ever done for only the first month and the only month did it actually work it was going good and then after the first month it went down hill from there. Honestly i've spent more time trying to call them, talking to them on call about how to fix it, or waiting till they open to call them that it's gone out again than i have time spent actually being on the internet, I literally had to call them every 3-5 days because the internet would go out and i needed it to be fixed but that hasn't even been the worst part because for the past year it's honestly been more useful as a test on how much i can control my anger because not only do i work from home but also 2 of my family members who live in this house have to too and with this going on we've been having to go to McDonald's, the town library, and internet cafes because it's gone from having to call every 3-5 days to literally calling every day because it's been on life support for the past year we get to barely use it for about 30mins to an hour a day before it's gone again and no matter how many times we call they give us this same BS. We'll call them and they'll tell us that they changed "something" and that it would be good now, now if you guessed that it didn't work then Amazing!! you guessed correctly and then after months of this crap they changed their tactics they'll tell us that there's something wrong with the equipment here and that we need to go and look for the problem and after a week of looking we didn't find anything so we told them that they need to send someone out here to try to fix it and it took them another month to even notify us that they were gonna call us again to let us know that someone would be heading there in the next week, But here's the best part the technician got here and he spent about an hour and a half testing the equipment and everything to only find out that there's nothing wrong here but something wrong on their end, it honestly feels like they have absolutely no clue what they're doing because not only do we keep calling telling them that there's something wrong but THEIR OWN TECHNICIAN is telling them there's something wrong but they haven't done anything about it for 3 years. if i could strap a potato to some wires to get the bare minimum for me and my family to work even if it means i'll never be able to watch netflix or stuff like that if take that over this worthless garbage. So long story short if you want internet or any other service they provide go somewhere else because it's not worth it but if you want to really test your anger management, get treated like you're dumb by their "technicians" or literally waste money on ugly decorations that serve no purpose then you're exactly where you need to be Ps. also some of the people that work their have been the rudest people i meet especially their "Operations Supervisor Jennifer Strelnik" she has been rude and demanding telling us that we're liars even though i have the internet tests to prove wrong and has been telling us that we're the reason that the internet is messed up and i still have the screenshots from her emails to prove it read more

I would give a one star if I could. In July 2019 I noticed that I was not getting the speeds i was paying for. I call every week and spoke to "tech support" who did nothing while trying to convince they were. In Dec I filed a BBB complaint and finally they sent a crew out to change equipment to act like they were doing something to fix the problem. I still get less than 5Mbps all the time. They asked for me to submit speed tests to show my speeds, i do a speed test twice a day so I obliged. Now it's 7 months and still the same speeds. At our old house in Evington, We had great internet and great service. Since moving 6 months ago to Altavista, we got them to come out and install at our new place. Since that time, the internet has gone down almost every day. we pay for 30gps and either get zero (like today, I am on my phone's hotspot) or 3-9 gps. We have contacted them for the past 6 months and we have yet to have anyone come out to adjust it. Just a note, the great review from John A is my husband and was from our previous house. Stay way from Seiontec/Infinasky. Do NOT use this company for internet service. Awful, disrespectful management and they do not stand behind their product or installation. They charged me for install & monthly service - neither of which I have received. Install was incorrect and UNGROUNDED. Satellite beacon took a direct hit from lightning, blew through the UNGROUNDED line they ran, into our home, causing significant damage to our home's electrical service, porch, tree, and inside our living room. They sent out their installer to review. After I called numerous times to get someone to respond. Installer takes pictures and informs us that the line was NOT GROUNDED, takes pictures and leaves. Seiontec doesn't even follow up. I call them to request refund, fix the install, anything? The manager, Darryl, laughs at me claiming the service is indeed grounded. I have pictures from their installation day and lightning strike that proves otherwise. There was no grounded wire, box, water source....no grounded source or wires were installed. They ran a wire from the beacon up on our tree to the box on the tree, straight to our house through a hole they drilled. Darryl says I signed a waiver/contract (which I did not - had lawyer review the info they send via email, which is NOT a contract). He claims they are not responsible for anything and will not fix anything. And that I signed away any rights when I agreed to service. None of this is true. Darryl tells me to go ahead and hire a lawyer, they don't care, they deal with this stuff all the time. What?! He also informs me that the junior tech they sent out to take pictures, is not competent to inform me if something is grounded! What? So they send incompetent installers to your home AND perform UNSAFE installations? Where are these techs trained? In full disclosure we are a new customer and I will update if anything changes however, very pleased so far. As in other reviews they disclosed that they were backlogged a few weeks for install, but, I got on a cancellation list. They ended up coming earlier with a cancellation. Barbara at the office was good to work with. Usually had to leave a message but she was prompt at calling me back. The only providers in our area are Hughes Net or Exede Satellite as the assigned provider is Shentel and they have poor customer service and will not provide anything in our area. We are so desperate for internet that we even offered to pay for all the materials for installation, but, Shentel wasn't interested. Verizon told us, and I quote, "we will never bring internet out to your area of Evington, Virginia......so we dropped our landline after being a customer for 25 years. Seiontec has brought us into the 21st Century. My satellite speeds were 10.8 download, 4.99 upload with a ping of 631ms. My Seiontec speeds are 41.2 download, 18.8 upload, with a ping of 15ms. We actually watched a Netflicks movie for the first time ever! I will update as time goes on. This is looking like it may revolutionize internet for people like myself and my family that live in an area were the assigned providers have no interest in investing in providing internet to their customers in their territory. For now.......this is a miracle for us. read more

A well deserved 5 star rating. My internet works great and the speed and latency are perfect. My experience from day one has been exceptional, from Barbara in the office to the two guys who did the install. The company even made a special trip to their tower that allowed me to get the LOS I needed. Living in an area not supported by broadband I was happily surprised when I learned of Infinisky. I have recommended this to many of my neighbors and they all are excited to see if this works for them also. read more

Hate is a very strong word. But today has been very disappointing. A month ago I made an appointment with this company for installation and paid a hefty installation fee. Oct 3rd, 2017 at 10:30. I called at 9:30 to confirm. Spoke to Barbara who was very professional and pleasant. She confirmed all was on schedule. I took a day of vacation. Excited to have Internet. 11:30 no one had arrived. So I called to check to see what was happening. Again Barbara.. on point and pleasant says she will check into things and get with Sara. But no response. I called again at 12:30 (because I had not heard anything). Barbara tells me that if Sara does not get with her in 5 minutes she will go downstairs and see what's going on. 1:30 I call again. Barbara transfers me to Sara. Sara says they came to my house and there was no signal. No one came to my property. I tell her that. She then transfers me to Darrel Haag . I explained to Darrel Haag my frustration that no one has been here and I have been waiting for 3 hours. YES I was frustrated. I believe anyone else would have been. Then the story changed to the signal was a problem from the tower and the crew was redirected. (Obviously someone communicated that with the crew). No one called me to make me aware. Once I express that with Darrel Haag. He tells me that he sees no patience in this relationship. And that it would be best that my money be refunded and severe ties. Flabbergasted from that response! A relationship.. be personal or business takes two sides to make it work. I paid the deposit of over $250 a month ago. Lost a day of wages. To be told this. BTW. I asked Darrel Haag to reconsider. I asked what the next step was.. I asked if he was the owner. His answer was he is the owner. And he would refund my deposit. And that my frustration ( by the way.. I never raised my voice... I never cursed.. I never was ugly in any way) meant nothing to him and that what they had was a service they could not provide. I asked are you telling me that you cannot provide a service I have paid for and you advertised.. he said yes. So they are selling something they cannot provide. But that does not speak to the level of customer service or HIS part of a relationship. And does NOTHING for a day's loss wages. I believe once the service gets installed.. it's great from what everyone else has told me.. But I am not the only one with struggles. I am and was willing to pay! Willing to wait. But I am seeing that a person's time or feelings mean nothing to this company. Poor management. Poor customer service. Communication is key to any relationship and obviously it's only when convenient for them. So beware. And know if Darrel Haag really is the owner if this is how he handles business then if you have a problem you will get screwed. Update Oct 4, 2017 Sara calls me to apologize. She was who told me that the crew had already been on my property. That she was mistaken. Confirmed no one had ever come to my home. I accepted her apology and thanked her. I expressed to her how upset I was over how I had been treated and that I understand mistakes happen. That I can see she values her reputation and has character to be able to admit she was wrong and I truly appreciate that in a person. I asked if she thought Darrell would do the same? She then told me.. "Don't shoot the messenger but Darrell Haag said he had no intentions of trying to make things right, BECAUSE I posted the above review on Facebook." Update Oct 5, 2017 I check my credit card. I have not received the refund. I call in Sara assures me that is had been credited. I also notice that all reviews have been removed from Seiontec's Facebook page. Update Oct 6, 2017 I finally received the refund for the $287.00 that they charged me to make an appointment 6 weeks out. Buyer Beware... Infinasky and Seiontec are the SAME company.... Same People. I was hoping that I was going to be able to update this post that this company cared about customer service and that they were going to come back with a mutual resolution. Not remove my post all together. Again I want to reiterate, I called to make an appointment. I paid the money upfront. I called ahead of time to make sure we were still on schedule. When my wife and I moved out of the city into the country, we believed we would have to settle for slow internet, but Seiontec not only provided us with faster internet than we originally had, but also for cheaper. My wife and I refer to this company as Lying-tech. Internet speeds are not as advertised most of the time. We have currently been out of service for almost a month with nothing but excuses as to why our internet is out. Everyone at the company gives a different answer as to why we are still without a service that we are paying for. We paid for installation and pay monthly, and aren't receiving service. No one will let us speak to the owner and the manager is always unavailable or in meetings. Anytime we ask for a tech, they never show up on time. This past week they completely missed an appointment one day and the next day were 3-4hrs late. The previous week they said we were scheduled for first morning appointment and they showed up at noon and still resolved nothing. Our small business is suffering as we need internet for our server and shipping software, but they don't seem to care about it at all. No one returns our calls unless we bug them to death. Customer service and communication at this company are non-existent. They don't even get started until 10am most days and have no tech support in the evenings or on weekends, which is ludicrous for an ISP. I don't post many reviews, and never a 1 star, but this one is more than well deserved. Stay away from Seiontech unless you have no other choice. read more

The technicians that came out to install the service were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and determined to find me a good signal. I cannot believe how fast this internet is, especially for being wireless. My dish is installed approximately 75 feet up in a poplar tree and the signal is being shot 12 miles away and my speeds haven't dropped at all. They will do everything in their power to get you reliable internet. Companies like this need support because they are local and offer competition against the mainstream services like cable and DSL - Even out in the boonies. I highly recommend this service and I have not had a single negative experience with this company. They are a small crew and the wait for tree installs is pretty long because it's difficult to find people willing to climb trees and towers to do this work. If you are patient with them, they will take care of you and provide you a rock solid service. read more
