I own a condo below a unit that Connie Myers manages. First the unit above me had a leaky shower door that leaks down into my bathroom. That needs to be fixed and "Apparently" that will be happening in the near future. THEN the units sink overflowed which caused water to come through the ceiling into my living room/kitchen. I understand those things aren't her fault or doing. However, her overall common decency and respect when talking to you on the phone is not existent. Just trying to have simple conversations to figure out damage and how to go about the process is apparently dreadful for her. I've never been spoken to this way and hung up on in this manner. It was my intention to have a light and friendly conversation and I tried to do so and somehow ended up annoying Connie to the point where she just ended the call before the conversation was over. This happened on two occasions. One with each incident as mentioned above. Just a dreadful human to speak and deal with. read more

Renters and homeowners, Avoid this management company (Connie) at all costs. Staff and Connie are all unresponsive and unprofessional. Houses are managed so poorly. Read other reviews... One townhome managed by Connie was in decent area but far below the market rental price (20-30% less). When we scheduled a tour at her convenient time, we found the home was trashed and not maintained at all. And said they'll not fix anything before we move in. Some notable highlights: - No showing and no response back on weekends or outside of their short office hours - Connie is overall very rude and unprofessional. Just call her to ask any simple questions. I couldn't imagine how she'll treat me if I actually became a resident. - Water didn't work in one restroom and she asks me what I think is wrong with it. - Carpets are extremely old and stained and she doesn't know when it was last replaced. They'll not replace carpets. read more

I would run away from this "property management company" as quickly as my legs could take me if I were a potential renter. My fiance and I attempted to view a house for rent through SLM; we communicated a time that work for us as the client to which Connie retorted a different time worked better for her as she had a long list of things to do that day. During that conversation, she made both unwarranted and unwanted comments regarding our fur baby crew. Upon arrival (after rushing through traffic), we were met with a "Are you still interested? If so, we need to make this quick as I only have 10 minutes to show this as I have other things to do." Well, it took my fiance and I over 30 minutes to tour our 1600 sf townhouse; I daresay we may want to take a bit longer for a 3000 sf house. We then were rushed through the house and information was inaccurate that was provided by Connie. I do think that perhaps a realtor should know the location of certain things like a basement, but maybe that is just me. We then realized we had a mutual friend with the owner of the property who contacted them to discuss Connie and her lack of customer service as well as our desire to rent the property. My fiance had another interaction with Connie two days later (who seemingly forgot who we were); she proceeded to tell him to tell me to take time off of work so she could show it at a time she wanted to. If we were not able to do so, she then couldn't show it until a week and a half later. My fiance notified Connie that he would let her know. A few hours later, Connie apparently caught wind that my fiance had a discussion with the owner of the property and called him back. Well, let's just say the reviews regarding her yelling at people and hanging up are all true. There are some people who you come across and think how perfect they are for the profession they have chosen; well, Connie is absolutely not one of those people. Horrible customer service, horrible demeanor, and overall, poor work ethic. While I am immensely disappointed we aren't renting that house (I did love what I was able to see during that fast 10 minute "tour"), I am grateful to not be working with Connie because she is simply atrocious. I have had the pleasure to work with Connie Meyers for the past 10 + years. She has been managing one of my properties in the Bucks county area and has always been attentive, professional, and very timely in responding any questions or concerns I have ever had. My checks have always arrived on time, I receive annual maintenance "upkeep" reminders (ie, check the gas/oil/ air conditioners on the rental property along with the costs) and always receive nicely organized documents at the end of the year for my taxes. She manages 300+ properties and has been in this business for over 20 years (need I say more?). I trust her judgement with any issues that should arise (umm, hello hurricane sandy and all the other crappy storms that have happened within the past few years in Pennsylvania)! My property had some roof damage and Connie took care of it right away (dealt with my insurance and everything!!!) Connie is truly a professional in what she does, and I know she always has my best interest. I don't know what I would do without her! read more

I contacted the property posted thorough a site and I got a message response on Friday afternoon from Connie that I needed to call Monday after 9a. What realtor doesn't show properties during evenings or weekends when most people are available? (Red flag #1). I called Monday morning and was then informed I could go the next day in the morning because a prospective tenant fell through (Red flag #2). Thankfully, I have flexibility with work. As I am driving to go, something told me to call before I got too far and was informed by Anne that Connie was in court that morning and she couldn't be there so they will reschedule. She didn't know that the day before? If I had not called, I would had driven over an hour for nothing. (Red flag #3) Finally got to see the place. When I saw it, I decided to proceed. I was told rent amount, deposit, and that everything goes through her agency except for an extra $100 HOA monthly fee directly to owner - which was not listed in the ad. (Red flag #4) Well, I ignored the red flags and decided to apply. I was then informed that her checks came back showing issues. I immediately told Connie there must be an error - but she was adamant. I asked for the company used for background check to get information and dispute it and she was extremely hesitant only saying a name after I persisted. (Red flag #5) Finally, she gives me a detail as to what the issue was and I realized that she was exaggerating an issue in my background from literally almost 18 years ago. (TMI but I got into a fight (summary offense) and paid a fine and that was that yet she kept saying I had a felony. There is a HUGE difference between the two. (Questioning if that's even legal?). I mean, employers only go back 7-10 years.) Anyway, after multiple phone calls back and forth with Connie and providing proof that the information was wrong, she then informed me that although she had not spoken to the owner and because I was moving to a new area, he will most likely require a 2 month deposit. What? I'm moving from lehigh to bucks county. (Red flag #6) That was enough for me. I felt I been taken for a ride or didn't fit a mold or something and she was looking for excuses. I thought if this is how it is now, how will it be as a tenant? So I decided to Google. I'm glad I researched and read all the reviews. As a result, I sent an email to withdraw and avoid the headache. read more

I sent a request to view a property with Select Living and Connie was able to book an appointment to view the listing. Upon arriving I saw her leaving the property saying she had only scheduled 3 tours and she didn't remember having another even though we had spoke that morning. I was hastily rushed through the property, acting as if I was a bother and annoyance to her, and given an application with additional associated fees going to Select Living Management that I was meant to pay in order to be considered. My experience with Connie was extremely poor as she seems to be bothered by dealing with potential applicants instead of helping them with questions. I was told she doesn't use email and the only way to contact her would be to call the office. It was extremely difficult getting her on the phone and when I was able, she was extremely dismissive and rude. Not a great experience and for someone that deals with customers on a regular basis there is hardly any incentive to do business with them. read more

She answered the phone with an attitude we scheduled a meeting at 2:30 she calls me to verify at 12:00 I was driving and I wasn't able to write down the address I asked her to email me and she said she never uses email even though she sent me a personal email hours before we spoke. She is a liar and has a huge attitude, terrible sales skills I truly don't understand how she is a Real Estate Professional... Connie Meyers if you read this please understand that you cant treat people like garbage especially if they are willing to pay 6 month in advance of rent and have a GREAT credit history! STAY AWAY! I implore you! This goes for owners and tenants alike. You will be glad you listened to this and the other negative reviews! I rented a property from Select Living Management from Oct. 2013-Oct. 2014. Keep in mind that ALL of my rent and utility payments were made on time, no complaints were ever made against me as a tenant, and I left the property in excellent condition upon lease expiration. Connie Meyers is the owner of this joke of a business. I am a business professional and NEVER have I encountered someone as rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. Over the course of the lease agreement, Connie was nothing short of an aggressive bully, screaming over the phone on countless occasions and even hanging up on me, always refusing to have a civil conversation. I encountered this behavior BEFORE I even signed the lease and fully regret not backing out right then. I must add that Connie isn't the only rude and incompetent one at SLM; this includes Anne and other employees whose names I cannot recall. SLM's record keeping is atrocious; correspondence was always full of misspellings, grammatical errors, and incorrect information even on legal documents. They either lose the documentation that you send them, or simply choose to ignore it. A prime example of this is the property checklist which is given upon move in; SLM refuses to do a walk through. This document is for the tenant to record any and all damage that is present at the time of move in. This document is meant to protect both the tenant and the owner, but at lease end, SLM will completely disregard this SIGNED document and charge the tenant regardless. SLM unlawfully withheld a sizable portion of my security deposit and failed to provide proper documentation. BY LAW, when a portion of a security deposit is withheld, the landlord must provide you with specific itemization of withholdings and any applicable receipts. What SLM sent was a complete joke. They paired completely unrelated items with one another, failing to identify the charge for each individual item. They also failed to provide a receipt for a repair that was not made until AFTER lease expiration and documentation for an unwarranted "Water sewer estimate," despite my water/sewer account having already been closed out. After calling Connie to attempt to discuss these unwarranted withholdings, only to be screamed at and hung up on of course, I sent a 16 page document including receipts, property checklist, fax transmissions of documentation already sent to SLM, and more to justify my disputes. SLM failed to acknowledge all documentation, telling me the owner felt all withholdings were justified, but as an "act of good faith" would reimburse only a small portion. With this response letter, they sent a signature release form, full of misspellings, including names, grammatical errors, and something about a "golf cart." Mind you, there was no golf cart involved in my lease, nor present at the rental property. It seemed as though copy and paste was not kind to whoever used it and FAILED to re-read this form before mailing. After much back and forth with SLM, as a result of them ignoring the said documentation, and threatening legal action, I was finally reimbursed the disputed amount, but was never provided with the proper itemization and receipts which I was legally owed and had requested. Regarding the repair, a disconnected water line behind the refrigerator started to leak one week before lease expiration. SLM was called the very next day, as it happened on a Sunday, and told me that they would have a plumber out in a couple of days. The leak continued to get worse to the point where I was dumping out multiple buckets of water each day; had I not done so, the laminate kitchen floor would have been ruined. The week went by with no phone call or plumber showing up. I called two days before lease expiration to inquire about the repair and was told "it fell through the cracks." Thankfully, this is the only time I needed a repair during the lease. In summary, STAY AWAY from Connie and SLM. Spend your hard earned money for housing elsewhere, with people that treat their CLIENTS with respect and operate with professionalism. Dealing with SLM for an entire year was both stressful and incredibly frustrating. I am sure the treatment I received from Connie and SLM is common practice for them, especially since I was never in any way a problematic tenant. It is clear that they have no ethical standards and have no problem withholding money both unwarranted and ILLEGALLY from clients. I rented from Select Living for several years as a single mother with three teenage children and Connie was nothing but wonderful. The few issues with the house were dealt with promptly and without hassle. I paid my rent on time and she did her job - the experience was one of mutual respect. I had issues of my own getting my teenagers to mow and/or shovel (as most parents do) and Connie only ever sent me a quick note asking if there was an issue she should be aware of and to please get to those things. I asked to paint rooms in a different color palette when I moved in to which she agreed, then she simply asked me to paint the room that I had painted pink for my daughter back to white when I left. Super simple. I'd definitely recommend using her services and would go to Select Living first if I needed another rental home. read more

Do not use Connie Meyers! She is very unpleasant to talk with. I reached out to her about renting a property and I received attitude from the start. She didn't let me talk or explain my situation once and just rushed to talk over me. She even accused me of wasting her time! As a person who is serious about finding the perfect place to rent I was offended by the way she treated a potential renter! If it was my apartment I would be furious with the behavior. Don't be fooled by the good reviews, no one in their right mind would stand by these people. They are bullies and treat tenants like garbage. Beyond this they WILL scam you out of any security deposit you put down and/or claim they have not received money you've paid them. They are criminals and overall bad people. It is imperative people know how this company functions as they have caused a lot of stress and heartache for a number of individuals. Military Service Member look for another place to live. We report that a mouse was inside of our apartment. As a MIlitary Service Member that works with Preventive Medicine Units, having a mouse running inside of a house if a safety issue for the family and specially for children. My husband reported the issue and asked if they provide extermination services or if we have to take care of it. They said, they will take care of the issue. We never received any exterminator at home, so we called during the weekend. The managment called my husband on Monday yelling telling that they pay a lot of money for receiving messages during the weekends and then the lady hanged up the phone.Our payments are on time and never report complaints. Botton line is that the service is rude, totally unprofessional. . I was with my husband when he left the messages and he was professional.This issue could it be resolved talking professionally, no reason for yelling. I still shocked. Never felt so mistreaded as a person and as a MIlitary Service Member who fight for the country. read more
