We have used Select for years, at our old and new house (both times for ants). Every tech we have dealt with has been very friendly and knowledgeable, as well as the girls who set up appointments. I called Select for help with wasps but was told that if I didn't know where the nest was, they couldn't help. Because of this I called another pest company and they basically said they couldn't get it because of the locations. They told me this only AFTER I signed up and they saw the nest (glad they found it but they couldn't help me). I called Select back to help with mice outside that the other company told me were terrible and I was assured that while there was some outside activity, it wasn't an infestation like I was led to believe. This just assured me that I should have stayed with Select because they didn't try to lie and get more business. Plus they don't require contracts which is great. I hired Select Pest Control in December 2016 to take care of a problem I was having with squirrels in the attic crawl space over my garage. The servicer came out on Friday, 12/2, and did not go in to the attic crawl space, instead set a trap on the roof. The bait fell out late on Saturday 12/3. I called first thing Monday morning, 12/5, and no one ever came out to rest the trap. I was out of town between the night of 12/5 and the night of 12/7, and during that time, the trap fell off the roof. I called first thing on Friday, 12/9, to confirm the servicer was coming out that day, as per our agreement, and to request the trap be put in the crawl space/attic, where I continued to hear squirrels. I was told the servicer would be out that day; he was not. I emailed the company that night around 5pm, and did not hear anything until Monday, 12/12. The servicer called and left a voicemail saying he had planned on coming out that day, but didn't have the right ladder and would be out the next day, Tuesday, 12/13. He didn't show up, and I emailed the company again on 12/14. A servicer finally did come out on 12/15. Regular weekly visits happened through 12/30. When the servicer arrived on the 30th, he saw a squirrel was in the attic. Within ten minute's of his leaving, the squirrel was caught. I called him, and he said he'd try to come out that afternoon or send someone the next day, 12/31. No one showed up until 01/04/17, days after the animal expired, and after I had sent an email to the boss. Service continued, on a weekly basis, through 02/07 when two animals were trapped in one cage. I was told by the servicer that they didn't have a cage to replace mine with, and would be out the next day. I never heard back from the company until yesterday, 05/03/17 asking when they could pick up the cage that they had left. I had explained to them that a cage was never brought back after the visit in February, but I had since had the roof of my house replaced, thus fixing the problem with wildlife in the attic crawl space. Today, 05/04, I received an invoice for $45 for the animal removal on 02/07, which I paid without complaint, happy to close this chapter of my life. Select Pest Control did provide a service, which is why I have given a two star review, as opposed to a one star review. While they did provide this service, it was not without much baby sitting, emails and phone calls on my part. I would not recommend. read more

Today was the 2nd time we needed the services of Select Pest Control. We used select because my daughter works in a hospital and this is who they use. The first time we needed them in 2017 they came out within a few hours of our panicked phone call. They treated extremely thorough for the pest and scheduled a follow up. At no time were we ever asked to sign or even offered a pest control contract. This was HUGE,I didn't feel pressured into a maintenance agreement at all. These guy's were professional, extremely thorough and we had the same technician's in the 2 return visits to make sure our pests were gone. The owner himself showed up on the second treatment to just make sure things were being treated as they should. We never complained nor asked for this, he just came on his own. Fast forward to 6 months ago. I was painting a room and concerned that perhaps our pest was back. I called and spoke with the owner, he'd given us his cell. He reassured me and said they'd be glad to come and check for me. Again, he NEVER mentioned that we should enter into a pest control maintenance agreement. I however asked to be put on one, since we live in the country and deal with various types of pests. Last night, we had a "freak out moment ". Again,we reached out to the owner who was very reassuring. They were out here this afternoon and couldn't find anything of concern!!! These guys areSo HONEST ! And I had the same tech that had been here before! Again he was more than thorough and very reassuring. I had him do general pest control on the entire home. We scheduled a return visit for 3 months. No contract. Just a professional agreement. I have never left a review before. I don't know these folks or have family who does or that works for them. I will say that I worked for a small privately owned pest control company in Louisville, KY over 30 years ago. I have some knowledge of how this industry works, and should work. In my opinion, Select Pest Control, is the way to get the results you want, without being manipulated into a service contract you may not want or need. Very friendly. Easy to book an appointment. Price I was quoted and actual cost were very close. I would use them again!

I was searching for pest control companies on Home Advisor and Select was the first to respond. They were priced far lower than other competitors, and I liked that I could schedule follow ups as needed, and wasn't forced into monthly service after the initial appointment. The tenants in the house next to me moved out, and left behind a roach infested home. There were hoards of roaches, 30+, out walking around the sidewalks and yards in broad daylight, and it got worse at night! Select came on a Wednesday, and by the night we were already finding dead roaches. As bad as the outside infestation was, we were lucky not to get too many bugs inside the house. We did see some bugs here and there inside for a few days after Select came and sprayed, which we were told up front to expect, but nothing compared to what it could have been given the severity of the neighboring infestation. The owner of the neighboring house is planning on having Select come and treat the vacant property, and thankfully they offered to pay a follow up visit to my home as well to prevent any further issues. I would recommend Select to anyone, and plan on using them again in the future if there is ever a need. read more

Select Pest Control treated my house for bed bugs, and after two treatments my house was bed bug free! I called many companies and Select was by far the cheapest and I could not be happier with the service I received! I would l definitely recommend Select Pest Control, especially for any bed bug treatments! read more
