I made an appointment and when I got there I was seen by Lauren Martinez PA. She was excellent. She ordered X-rays and examined me. She diagnosed the pain in my left arm as arthritis in the shoulder. She offered two solutions. 1 physical therapy a 2 steroid injection. I chose PT and did 6 weeks of PT but it did not solve the problem. I had my doubts about the cause being arthritis and therapist concurred. I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Rogers to discuss additional imaging to see if there was any muscle or nerve damage. The office told me I would be contacted. I received a call stating Dr. Rogers usually only sees patients who require surgery or injections. They offered another doctor in Mansfield I might try. I'm curious when you have a doctors appointment and see a PA instead does the insurance company get build a lower rate than when you see the doctor. It's disturbing to me that a doctor won't see a patient who request an appointment. I hope the PA is well paid. Again I reiterate she was excellent. I gave the practice 2 stars because the office was nice and the PA did her job.

University Orthopedics places making as much money off you as possible far above patient interests…read more My experience here was terrible and I want to warn anyone else against trusting the team here. I received bills for things that team members explicitly told me were not going to cost me money. If anyone comes into your room to give you something, tell them to shove it. If they schedule you to with the OT team here, push it back a couple weeks ago so you don't end up going only to find out you aren't recovered enough to start. This group even has their sales people dress in scrubs so you'll assume they are care providers. University Orthopedics is not a place you to go to get your injuries healed, it's a place you go to to lose trust in doctors. I would recommend going anywhere else so you don't end up feeling as stupid as I do for trusting them.

I'm a very active person and being practically immobile wasn't going to cut it. My midwife suggested this place and I was glad to find a location minutes from my home. I started my therapy sessions with Kayla Whiting and she made such a difference for me. She was kind and professional and really understood the pain I was having so she was able to give me a solid treatment plan. I left a few sessions sore due to stretching and exercises but icing was always recommended and helped. The day after I'd always feel so much better. After a few sessions, my pain was almost completely eliminated. I could walk without pain again. Amazing! And I never needed any pain medicine. The sessions of heat, massage, stretching, and exercises (combined with my own daily stretching exercises at home prescribed by them) made the end of my pregnancy a breeze and will most certainly help me postpartum. I am so grateful for this place because they really understood exactly what I was going through. I went from not being able to walk without limping or get out of bed to speed-walking with ease and rolling out of bed like a champ. I could even carry my laundry basket down the stairs again and clean on all fours (though my husband still does not like that I do this lol). They are professional yet personable and I worked with a few other PT's there to make scheduling appointments easier. Overall, the advice, tips, and treatment have been very successful for me. I Chose Marathon PT in Norton and was so nervous. I met Chris O'Brien and couldn't stop blabbing to him. He was wonderful. (I did apologize ) Chris gave me a routine to do there and at home.
