I was admitted mid June 2025 for about 3 weeks.After a lengthly hospital stay. The doctors and nursing staff were very attentive during my stay.My physical therapy team Christian & Eileen along with Alex & Chantal were very professional and truly aware of my personal needs. Called in wanting to know if they provide services for seizures and was received by an unprofessional Receptionist named Lourdes (if that's her name as I believe she lied). She don't want to provide assistance or even answer questions. Was upset that I called and somehow we were disconnected while she was trying to push the call to someone else. I have a disabled handicap son that was having seizures we are from out of state and was trying to find the best facility to go to. We were respectful and nice while trying to remain calm and handle our situation. Last thing lg we needed was such a negative response from a medical professional that should know better. This is a hidden gem. Grandma is being treated here and all I can say is...WOW! This place makes us feel so comfortable that they're doing the best they could do. They go out of their way to help in whichever way they can. The staff is extremely friendly from check-in to the providers. I feel confident that my grandmother is in good hands. Facility is new (I'd say about 5 years old). ICU room is big & comfortable. The hospital as a whole is in amazing condition, I hope it remains this way. Clean environment. The staff seems to be happy with doing their job & it shows. If you ever have to take someone to a specialty hospital, please choose this one. You want whoever is taking care of your health to be someone that is compassionate & that's what you'll find here! read more

La satisfacion mas grande que he tenido desde el 22 de noviembre hasta el 6 de diciembre que estube en este hospital es haber conocido a todo el equipo de enfermeras, auxiliares de enfermera ,case maneger los supervisores terapistas y el personal de respiracion,y las secretarias ,todo sin palabras todos son una familia y capaces todo de llenar los corazones solamente no el de los enfermos sino de los familiares que se sientan acojidos desde que llegas a ese lugar no tengo palabras para expresar todo lo que recibi y atenciones desde el primer momento con mi padre, con el amor y el respeto si quiero resaltar que me fui muy triste trasladarme hacia otro lugar y dejarlos atras yo recomiendo que este es el mejor lugar para rehabilitar a la familia porque todos profecionalmente cumplen todas las perpestivas de la estacia en ese lugar que DIOS LOS BENDIGA A TODOS read more

My 99 y/o mother is being treated here. All I can say is how AMAZING this place is in terms of quality and efficient care, and it is sparkling clean. Everyone I have encountered is super pleasant, very well trained and genuinely caring of her. I am so happy I choose this place for her instead of the other alternative that starts with a K. I go almost everyday to see her and she and I are always treated well. She has all types of care here, including Drs, RNs, RTs, PTs, OTs, Nutritionists and the wonderful CNAs! I may have unintentionally left out other carers that I am not aware of. All the staff at Select Specialy Hospital in Miami Lakes are great. My mother has been improving here daily after having left Aventura Hosp in a not so great condition. At Select they truly are in the business of rehabilitating patients. Have no qualms. My father was admitted here for about 20 days and received wonderful care from the nurses, aides, respiratory therapy and PT/OT team. I was honestly very nervous about my dad coming here because he had a very bad experience with another LTACH in Hollywood but after touring the facilty I gave them a chance. Prior to coming to Select my dad was too weak and was not accepted into any acute rehabs so I was hoping this facility would not only help him with his breathing but also get him stronger and they did just that. My dad entered this facility with a trach and on dialysis and before he was discharged his trach was successfully removed and his kidneys recovered therefore he no longer needed dialysis. The PT and OT team got my dad strong enough to be discharged to an acute rehab facility so I am so grateful for that. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I feel the speech therapy did not do enough in 20 days to get my dad to start eating again since he has a peg tube, the speech therapy was not frequent enough which delayed progress in regards to my dad being able to eat. Also I never got to speak to a doctor or was involved in any interdisciplinary meetings in regards to my dad's plan of care so I relied solely on chart review and the nurses to find out what the plan was for my dad. Otherwise this LTACH is great. Thank you. read more

Something is terribly wrong. My mother is at Select with limited mobility and is being treated horribly by the nursing staff. During her stay she's requested pain meds at 5pm and received them at 5:30am, A CNA failed to feed her after she told them she could not use her arms, she was given a gown to put on but again she has very limited mobility due to a severe car accident. (There's been other occurrences I'm to disheartened to mention.) I had high hopes in this facility, my family and I are very hurt and disappointed with the care given to my mother. Covid doesn't make it any easier because we can't get into the facility daily to ensure she's being taking care of properly or even to feed her ourselves. This has been a heartbreaking experience. We're set to have her transferred this week. read more

So basically if you want your loved ones to die this is the place to send them. Since this is a rehabilitation center most insurances or government insurances will only pay for a an amount of four weeks. This entire time my love to me was there was not treated with a lot of attention so his rehabilitation wasn't much. This place is horrible and should be named a hospice facility. read more

My Sister-in-law has been here for several weeks now, and will be here much longer. We are very impressed with the care she is receiving. The staff is very compassionate and friendly the moment you walk in and on top of her care at all times. The environment is very clean, the cafeteria serves good food, and the atmosphere is very friendly. Management is always available and the CEO even came in and introduced himself, and told her husband to talk with him if ever an issue. We especially like that all rooms are private. Voy a comenzar dando mi testimonio sobre ese "hospital " mi padre estuvo hospitalizado más de un mes en Palmetto Hospital en CCU y después nos recomendaron ese hospital " nos lo vendieron " diciendo que era uno de los mejores del área que iba a tener cuidado y atención de primera enfermeros 24 horas pendiente al paciente que en 45 días la mejoría iba a se notable etc etc. Mi Padre en el otro hospital siempre estaba despierto esperando por nosotros que todos los dias íbamos a verlo pero aquí al tercer día se la pasaba durmiendo por 2 dias seguidos yo dije aquí hay algo raro les pregunté y me decían es el baño que le dimos que coincidencia 2 días seguidos lo que pasaba que lo estaban cedando les dije que no hagan más mi padre estaba con sus 5 sentidos bien puestos, al paso de unas semanas lo hacen de nuevo qué pasó les dije no que se trató de quitar los tubos y lo tuvieron que cedar de nuevo hasta le pusieron guantes y mi papá en su opaca lucidez me enseñó sus manos y me dijo porque le dije porque se estaba quitando los tubos y me dijo con su cabeza NO y le pregunté no lo estás haciendo y me volvió a decir NO. El sábado y domingo26 y 27 de Febrero 2022 mi Mamá y mi hermana estuvieron ahí mi Padre estuvo bien sin los guantes ni drogado hasta escribió en UN cuaderno ESTOY TRATANDO y quería su ropa y todo y Lunes y Martes paso lo que les conté con lo de los guantes y las drogas, el Miércoles nos llaman de Emergencia que vallamos y yo y mi Madre fuimos porque mi papá se puso grave les dije qué pasó y nos dijieron que no respondía ni a la sangre que le estaba poniendo por cierto me olvide comentar a el le hacían diálisis por meses . Pero si el estaba bien el fin de semana que eso era las drogas y me dijieron que no le habían puesto nada desde febrero 28 y me dijo si quieres te muestro la computadora en mi cara me estaban mintiendo que lunes la enfermera en turno me lo dijo que lo tuvieron que darlo porque se estaba alterando el Martes la otra enfermera le dije no le des por favor la droga para dormirlo y me dijo que habían ordenado cada 8 horas imagínense que yo iba por la tarde y estaba drogado de la primera dosis ya se imaginarán . Nunca hay un enfermero constante todos los días uno diferente cuando le preguntas algo te responden no se nada es la primera vez con el , para llamar a saber cómo estaba todos los dias de 45 minutos a 1 hora para que te puedan comunicar con el enfermero en turno y siempre lo mismo por teléfono hasta que llegas ahí y la realidad es otra en persona, en muchas ocasiones el piso sucio con agua casi me resbalo .ok el dia Miércoles por la tarde llega un doctor y le dijo a mi Mamá que un Virus lo puso en coma a mi Papá que no sabían de donde diálisis o la sangre que le estában poniendo . Mi Papá murió ayer se me acerca un doctor del corazón y me dijo que raro si el Martes estaba hablando conmigo que mentiroso y sinico que el día Martes mi Papá estaba drogado dormido no podía ni 30 segundos sostener la mirada. La cosa es que son muchas mentiras no saben que decir no se ponen de acuerdo después de casi 3 semanas podimos hablar personal mente con un doctor que yo iba diario a ver a mi Padre. En conclusión me vendieron un negocio porque a todos los pacientes lo cedan para que no les molesten no estár pendientes como dice el flyer es una mentira a mi Papá lo dejaron morir en ese Lugar por negligencia médica por favor si estiman a sus seres queridos no lo manden ahí es una gran estafa sus servicios. My husband was a patient at this hospital and my experience with them was fantastic! The nurses are very professional, caring and are on top of everything. I couldn't go into the hospital to see my husband because we are in a pandemic. I was only able to see him through the window in his bedroom. They went above and beyond to help me to be able to see him and talk to him every time I went to the window. The hospital is very clean from what I could see also. My husband's nurses, and social worker, Eneida, were amazing and I can't thank them enough for everything they did for him. What I am most thankful for are the Therapists that were with my husband everyday. His therapists were Alejandro Dupotey and Chantal Sanchez. When they would go do my husband's therapy everyday, they were so kind to allow me to see him on FaceTime through their phone because I couldn't go into the hospital. They validated my feelings and helped me as much as they could so I was able to see my husband everyday on the phone. I know that this helped my husband a lot for his progress and recovery. My husband and I are very close and I know this helped him a lot. When they would finish therapy, they also moved his bed to face the window so that I could also see him. I appreciate their heart so much for doing this because this is a profession that requires a lot of compassion and humanity. His therapy team have both. They were amazing!! I have no words. If everyone in this profession were like them, this world would be a different place. read more
